Brazil’s Marco Rodrigues is the last of the Infernoid Duelists! He’s up against Jefferson Salas, from here in Peru, who is showing that Pendulum Magicians are still a force to be reckoned with.

Duel 1

Salas won the dice roll and chose to play first. He started with Harmonizing Magician, Oafdragon Magician, Pot of Desires, Mythical Beast Master Cerberus, and Black Fang Magician. He played Master Cerberus in his Pendulum Zone and activated its effect, but Rodrigues used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Salas played Pot of Desires, now safe from Ash Blossom, drawing Foolish Burial and another Harmonizing Magician. He used Foolish Burial to put Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm in the Graveyard, then Special Summoned it to add Supreme King Gate Zero to his hand. He Normal Summoned Harmonizing Magician and Link Summoned Heavymetalfoes Electrumite, which put Mythical Beast Jackal King in his Extra Deck. Electrumite destroyed Cerberus to put Harmonizing Magician back in his hand, and he drew his third Harmonizing Magician. He played Oafdragon and Black Fang in his Pendulum Zones, then Pendulum Summoned Jackal King, Darkwurm, Gate Zero, and Harmonizing Magician. Harmonizing brought Xiangke Magician to the field. He used Darkwurm and Electrumite to play Zefra Metaltron, then used Xiangke and Gate Zero to play Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon. He used Absolute and Harmonizing to play Knightmare Cerberus, linked to Metaltron, and Absolute Dragon Special Summoned Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon. Oafdragon put Harmonizing back in his hand to finish the turn.

Rodrigues started by activating Scapegoat, then Set a card in his back row.

Salas drew Gate Zero.  He used Metaltron and Knightmare Cerberus to play Underclock Taker, then Pendulum Summoned Gate Zero and Harmonizing Magician from his hand. Harmonizing added Purple Poison Magician to his field. He used his two Magicians to Synchro Summon Supreme King Dragon Clear Wing, wiping out Rodrigues’ Sheep Tokens! With Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon on the field, Rodrigues’ Set card couldn’t defend him!

Duel 2

Salas started with Wisdom-Eye Magician, Harmonizing Magician, Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm, Pendulum Call, and Chronograph Sorcerer. He used Pendulum Call, discarding Darkwurm to add Black Fang and Oafdragon to his hand. He then Special Summoned Darkwurm from his Graveyard, adding Gate Zero to his hand. He played Chronograph Sorcerer in his Pendulum Zone, using its effect to destroy it and Special Summon Timegazer Magician. He used Timegazer and Darkwurm to Link Summon Electrumite, which put Jakckal King in his Extra Deck. He played Gate Zero and used Electrumite to destroy it, adding Chronograph Sorcerer to his hand and drawing another Chronograph as well. He played Black Fang and Oafdragon in his Pendulum Zones, and Pendulum Summoned Jackal King, Gate Zero, and Harmonizing Magician. Harmonizing brought Xiangke to the field. He used Xiangke and Gate Zero to play Absolute Dragon, then Absolute and Electrumite to play Zefra Metaltron. Absolute brought Vortex Dragon to the field. He Normal Summoned Wisdom-Eye, stacking it with Harmonizing to play Tornado Dragon. Oafdragon added Timegazer back to his hand. His ending field was Metaltron, Vortex, Tornado, and Jackal King with no Spell Counters, plus Oafdragon and Black Fang in the back row.

Rodrigues played Infernoid Decatron, and it was negated by Vortex Dragon. Salas had no Pendulums left in his Extra Deck to use for Vortex now, however. Rodrigues Special Summoned Infernoid Onuncu, wiped out all of Salas’ monsters, and hit for 3000 damage!

Salas drew Foolish Burial, and Rodrigues Tributed Onuncu to negate it. Salas Pendulum Summoned Timegazer and both Chronographs from his hand, using a Chronograph and Timegazer to play Electrumite. He placed Wisdom-Eye Magician in his Extra Deck. Then, he used Oafdragon to add Wisdom-Eye to his hand. Electrumite destroyed Black Fang to add Chronograph back to his hand, and Special Summoned the Chronograph. That gave him enough attack power to finish Rodrigues off!
