Welcome to Day 2 of the 200^th YCS, here in Mexico City! We had a record shattering 2,617 Duelists enter the main event yesterday, playing for nine intense rounds. Since this is the first weekend of the newest Forbidden & Limited List, it’s been exciting to see how all these Duelists have adapted their strategies. We have seen a lot of Sky Striker Decks at the top tables, as well as True Dracos, Goukis, Invoked, Trickstars, Paleozoics, Altergeists, and Burning Abyss. Only the best Duelists (those with 19 points or more) advanced to today’s portion of the tournament, where they will play three additional rounds. Then we’ll cut to the Top 64 – but only one Duelist can earn the title of YCS Champion, and the new prize card Chaos Emperor, Dragon of Armageddon.

There are many other attractions to be seen here at YCS Mexico City, including the fan favorite token booth! Duelists can take a photo on a green screen, then choose from a variety of backgrounds to turn themselves into a token. Yesterday, our token booth printed over 800 tokens! We also have a plethora of public events for Duelists, such as an exclusive Win-A-Mat and ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!

Round 10 is about to get underway – it’s time to Duel!
