Welcome to YCS Mexico City! We’re here at the Expo Reforma, hosting the biggest Central American YCS in history! We have 2539 registered players, and that number only continues to grow! This is over twice the size of the previous record! With so many Duelists, we’ll be playing 12 Swiss rounds with a cut to the Top 64 – an intense 18 rounds of Dueling!
That photo doesn’t even do it justice – there are so many players that we had to open another hall to fit them!
This YCS is extra special, as it is the 200th YCS ever! We’re running concurrently with YCS Columbus and YCS Utrecht, so everyone gets to take part in the celebration. Preregistered Duelists get a DIVINE Attribute die plus one-of-a-kind goods that are also available to all entrants: a Chaos Emperor, the Dragon of Armageddon field center, and an exclusive 200th YCS game mat featuring Gold Sarcophagus!
The 200th YCS is also important because it’s the first use of the brand new Forbidden & Limited List! All of the top strategies have been affected in some way, with restrictions on major cards like Sky Striker Mecha – Hornet Drones and Knightmare Goblin. On the other hand, many cards had their restrictions lessened, so we may see big things from cards like Elemental HERO Stratos, Morphing Jar, or Card Destruction.
