Round 4 Feature Match: Manav Dawar versus Jeremy Thibeau

October 20th, 2018

Manav Dawar from Seattle, Washington is fresh off of a win at the 200th Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event in Columbus, Ohio! Less than 1 month ago, Dawar used his Sky Striker Deck to best more than 2700 Duelists and take home the championship trophy. Now he’s after a back-to-back YCS victory, looking to repeat his success with Sky Strikers here in Niagara Falls! A lot has changed since his victory in Columbus. Soul Fusion released and became legal for tournament play yesterday, introducing new Danger! cards and the extremely popular Thunder Dragon monsters to the tournament scene. Jeremy Thibeau from Toronto, Canada is using those Thunder Dragons, expecting them to have a strong matchup against Sky Strikers thanks to Thunder Dragon Colossus and its effect. Both Duelists are currently undefeated with 3-0 records, but only one of them can advance with a perfect record. Will Manav Dawar’s failure to adapt to the changing field cost him the tournament, or will his decision to bet on the continued success of Sky Strikers pay off?
