12-year-old Dylan Huntley from Tulsa, Oklahoma is Saturday’s Dragon Duel Champion. Now, he’s facing off against Sunday’s Dragon Duel Champion: 12-year-old Levi Baloch from Toronto, Canada. Baloch is no stranger to the Dragon Duel Playoffs. He has won 2 YCS Dragon Duel Playoffs in the past, and he’s after his third victory here in Knoxville, Tennessee. These young Duelists are about to face off in a Match that will determine who becomes the ultimate Dragon Duel Champion of the weekend. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Huntley opened up Duel 1 with Infinitrack Anchor Drill, Ancient Gear Wyvern, Called by the Grave, Infinitrack Trencher, and Infinitrack Harvester.

He Normal Summoned Anchor Drill and activated its effect. Baloch Chained Effect Veiler, but Huntley Chained Called by the Grave to banish the Veiler! Huntley Special Summoned Harvester to his field and used its effect to add Infinitrack Crab Crane from his Deck to his hand. He Special Summoned Trencher by Tributing Harvester and then Special Summoned Crab Crane by Tributing Trencher. He used Anchor Drill’s effect to make both of his monsters Level 9 monsters, and then Xyz Summoned True King of All Calamities.

Baloch drew a card and Huntley used the effect of his True King detaching an Xyz Material and calling the EARTH attribute.

Baloch activated Terraforming to add Mystic Mine to his hand and then activated it. He Set a card face-down and then ended his turn.

Huntley drew Revolving Switchyard and activated it. He discarded his Wyvern to activate its effect and try to search his Deck for a Level 10 EARTH Machine, but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.

Baloch Set a card to his back row and passed.

Huntley activated his Switchyard’s effect by discarding a Switchyard; but Baloch Chained Twin Twisters and discarded Metalfoes Fusion to destroy the Switchyard on the field.

Baloch drew a card and passed.

Huntley drew a card and passed.

Baloch drew a card and passed.

Huntley drew Machine Duplication and passed.

Baloch drew a card and then activated Sky Striker Mecha Modules – Multirole. He used its effect to send Mystic Mine to his Graveyard and then shuffled Metalfoes Fusion from his Graveyard into his Deck to draw a card. Next, he activated Sky Striker Mecha – Widow Anchor and took control of True King of All Calamities! He Normal Summoned Sky Striker Ace – Raye next, and then sent Raye to the Graveyard to Link Summon Sky Striker Ace – Hayate. He attacked directly with Hayate to send Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! from his Deck to the Graveyard with its effect and attacked directly with True King to drop Huntley down to 3500 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Baloch sent Hayate to the Graveyard to Link Summon Kagari, and used its effect to return Engage to his hand.  He Set Widow Anchor in the End Phase with Multirole and passed his turn, returning the True King to Huntley.

Huntley drew Instant Fusion and activated it. He gave up 1000 Life Points to Special Summon Cyber Saurus from his Extra Deck. He banished Trencher from his Graveyard to Special Summon Harvester. He activated its effect, but lost out to Infinite Impermanence. Next, Huntley used Machine Duplication to Special Summon 2 more copies of Harvester from his Deck. He combined Cyber Saurus with a Harvester to Link Summon Qliphort Genius and then sent 2 more Harvesters to the Graveyard to Link Summon Platinum Gadget. He used Genius’s effect to target Kagari and his Gadget, negating their effects. He attacked Kagari with Genius to destroy it, and Baloch Special Summoned Raye from his Graveyard. Then Platinum attacked Raye, but Baloch Tributed Raye to Special Summon Sky Striker Ace – Kaina from his Extra Deck. He used its effect to target True King of All Calamities, preventing it from attacking. Then Platinum Gadget attacked and destroyed Kaina.

Baloch drew a card and Huntley used the effect of True King of All Calamities. Baloch Chained the effects of 2 Widow Anchors to try to take Genius and True King, but Genius was unaffected by it. Nevertheless, after Baloch used Multirole to send the True King to the Graveyard and activated Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage!, Huntley conceded.

Duel Two

Huntley opened up Duel 2 with Imperial Order, Ancient Gear Wyvern, Infinitrack Tunneller, Infinitrack Anchor Drill, and Twin Twisters. He Normal Summoned Anchor Drill and used its effect to Special Summon Ancient Gear Wyvern from his hand. He used the Wyvern’s effect to add Ancient Gear Box from his Deck to his hand and then used his Ancient Gear Box’s effect to add another Anchor Drill to his hand. He used Anchor Drill’s effect to make it and the Wyvern Level 8, and then Xyz Summoned Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star.

Baloch drew a card and Huntley flipped Imperial Order. Baloch Summoned Raye and used it to Link Summon Hayate. He attacked directly with Hayate and used Hayate’s effect to send Sky Striker Mobilize – Engage! to his Graveyard. He Set a card to his back row and then, in his End Phase, used Shizuku’s effect to add Sky Striker Mecha – Eagle Booster from his Deck to his hand.

Huntley drew a card and lost 700 Life Points in his Standby Phase. He Normal Summoned Anchor Drill and used its effect to Special Summon Infinitrack Tunneller from his hand. He used Anchor Drill’s effect to make both monsters Level 9 and then Link Summoned True King of All Calamities. He attacked Shizuku with Dingirsu, destroying it and dealing 900 points of damage to Baloch. Baloch used Raye’s effect to Special Summon it from the Graveyard in Defense Position. True King of All Calamities attacked Raye, and Baloch used Raye’s effect to Tribute it and Summon Kaina. He used Kaina’s effect to target the True King and stop it from attacking. Huntley Set a card to his back row before passing.

Baloch drew a card and Huntley activated the effect of True King of All Calamities and lost 700 Life Points; but Baloch flipped Infinite Impermanence in the same column as Imperial Order to negate the True King, and negate Imperial Order along with it. Next, Baloch Set Metalfoes Fusion and used Multirole to send it to the Graveyard. He used Kaina to Link Summon Kagari and used Kagari to return Engage to his hand. He activated Engage to add Sky Striker Maneuver – Afterburners! to his hand and then activated Afterburners to try to destroy the True King, but Huntley used Dingirsu’s effect to protect it. Next, Baloch Link Summoned Hayate and attacked directly by using its effect. He sent Sky Striker Mecha – Shark Cannon from his Deck to his Graveyard with Hayate’s effect. He Link Summoned Sky Striker Ace – Shizuku in Main Phase 2 and then Set a card to his back row. He activated Reinforcement of the Army to add Raye to his hand and then activated Mystic Mine. In the End Phase, he Set Engage and Shark Cannon with the effect of Multirole.

Huntley drew another card and lost 700 Life Points due to Imperial Order. He Tributed Baloch’s Shizuku to Summon Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju to Baloch’s field. He activated Twin Twisters next by discarding a card, but then realized his Twin Twisters was negated by his own Imperial Order. Baloch activated Infinite Impermanence targeting the True King.

Huntley lost another 700 Life Points in Baloch’s next Standby Phase. Baloch Normal Summoned Raye and then Huntley used the effect of True King of All Calamities declaring the DARK Attribute. Baloch sent Raye to the Graveyard to Link Summon Hayate. He passed his turn.

Huntley drew a card and lost 700 Life Points, dropping to just 1500 Life Points. Baloch flipped There Can Be Only One. Huntley attacked with his monsters.

Baloch drew a card and Huntley dropped to 800 Life Points in the Standby Phase. He played out his turn Summoning Shizuku and used Shizuku in the End Phase.

Huntley drew a card and lost another 700 Life Points in the Standby Phase due to Imperial Order. He attacked Shizuku with Dingirsu to destroy it, and Baloch used Raye’s effect to Special Summon it from the Graveyard after losing 900 Life Points. True King of All Calamities attacked Raye next, and Baloch Tributed Raye to Special Summon another Kaina and prevent the True King from attacking. With only 100 Life Points remaining, Huntley conceded, about to lose his Imperial Order on the next Standby Phase.
