We’re in the Semi-Finals of the Dragon Duel World Championship but this is the most important match for these two Duelists.  A win here will get them to the Dragon Duel WCQ Finals but it will also win them an invite to the 2019 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship in Berlin, Germany!  DaVinci Antonio Sukienik has Danger! Orcust Crusadia while Jacob Chege Elson has a burn Deck centered around Mystic Mine.  Who’s going to Worlds?  Time to find out!  It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Elson won the roll and elected to go first.  He started with Pot of Duality, revealing Dark Bribe, Pot of Extravagance and Just Desserts!  He picked Dark Bribe, Set 5 to the back and passed.

In Sukienik’s Draw Phase, Elson activated Metaverse to activate Mystic Mine directly from the Deck.  Sukienik had a hand of 6 monsters.  He passed but not before Elson activate Ojama Trio, giving Sukienik 3 Ojama Tokens to the 3 middle Main Minster Zones.  He then activated Just Desserts to inflict 1500 damage, then Elson activated Trap Trick, banishing Just Desserts to Set another one from the Deck, then activated that Just Desserts for another 1500 damage.

Elson drew for turn, activated Pot of Extravagance but Sukienik conceded the Duel.

Duel 2

Sukienik elected to go first.  He activated Black Garden, then activated Danger!? Jackelope? which was discarded.  Its effect let Sukienik Special Summon Danger!? Tsuchinoko?.  Black Garden’s effect gave Elson a Rose Token.  Sukienik then Special Summoned White Dragon Wyverbuster by banishing Danger!? Jackelope? from his Graveyard, giving Elson another Rose Token.  Elson then activated Danger! Nessie! which was discarded, whose effect added Danger! Chupacabra! from his Deck to his hand.  Sukienik activated it, which was also discarded, but its effect Special Summoned the Danger! Nessie! from the Graveyard.  He sent Danger!? Tsuchinoko? and Danger! Nessie! to the Graveyard to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix.  He then sent Phoenix away for Knightmare Mermaid whose effect let Sukienik discard a card to Special Summon Orcust Knightmare from the Deck.  He then Link Summoned Beat Cop from the Underworld using Knightmare Mermaid and Orcust Knightmare.  He then Link Summoned Guardragon Elpy using White Dragon Wyverbuster as a Material.  White Dragon Wyverbuster’s effect let Sukienik add Black Dragon Collapserpent from his Deck to his hand.  He then banished the White Dragon to Special Summon the Black Dragon from his hand.  He then sent Black Dragon to the Graveyard to Link Summon Guardragon Pisty.  He used Black Dragon Collapserpent’s effect to add White Dragon Wyverbuster form his Deck to his hand.  He then activated Guardragon Elpy’s effect to Special Summon Omni Dragon Brotaur from his Deck.  He discarded White Dragon Wyverbuster from his hand to use Brotaur’s effect to add Chaos Dragon Levianeer from his Deck to his hand.  Next, Sukienik used all 4 of his monsters to Link Summon Saryuja Skull Dread.  He used its effect to draw 4 cards and put 3 back on the bottom of his Deck, keeping a Orcust Knightmare and a Chaos Dragon Levianeer in his hand.  He banished 3 DARKs from his Graveyard to Special Summon Chaos Dragon Levianeer whose effect forced Elson to put a card back into his Deck.  He then used Saryuja Skull Dread’s effect to Special Summon Orcust Knightmare from his hand.  He then used the Orcust Knightmare’s effect in his Graveyard, sending Orcust Harp Horror from his Deck to the Graveyard to boost a monster’s ATK.  He then activated Orcust Harp Horror from his Graveyard, banishing it to Special Summon Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from his Deck.  He then used Orcust Knightmare and Orcust Cymbal Skeleton to Link Summon Galatea, the Orcust Automaton.  He used Galatea’s effect to send the banished Orcust Harp Horror back to his Deck to Set Orcust Crescendo from his Deck.  He passed, leaving Elson with a field of 5 Rose Tokens.

Elson activated Wave-Motion Cannon.  He Set 3 and passed.

In Sukienik’s Draw Phase, Elson activated Trap Trick, banishing Heavy Storm Duster to Set another one from the Deck.  He then activated Heavy Storm Duster but Sukienik activated the Set Orcust Crescendo to negate it (Elson wanted to activated Dark Bribe to negate Orcust Crescendo but couldn’t under Trap Trick’s restriction.) Sukienik used Galatea to Xyz Summon Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star.  He then used Dingirsu’s effect to send Wave-Motion Cannon to the Graveyard.  Sukienik then activated Orcust Knightmare’s effect from the Graveyard, sending World Legacy – “World Wand” from the Deck to the Graveyard.  Next, Sukienik went to the Battle Phase, and Chaos Dragon Levianeer, Dingirsu and Saryuja Skull Dread attacked and destroyed 3 Rose Tokens, leaving at  Elson at 6000 LP.  In Main Phase 2, he banished World Legacy – “World Wand” from the Graveyard to Special Summon the banished Orcust Knightmare.  He used it and Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star to Link Summon Galatea, then used the effect to shuffle a banished Orcust back to the Deck.

Elson Normal Summoned Lilith, Lady of Lament.  He used its effect, revealing 3 copies of Metaverse, setting one of them.  He then activated Trap Trick, banishing Ojama Trio to Set another one from the Deck.    Elson crashed one Rose Token into one of Sukienik’s Rose Tokens, then Elson activated Ojama Trio to give Sukienik 3 Ojama Tokens, then Black Garden gave Elson a Rose Token.

In Sukienik’s Draw Phase, Elson activated Secret Blast to bring Sukienik down to 5900 LP.  In the Main Phase, Sukienik used Galatea and an Ojama Token to Link Summon Knightmare Unicorn.  In the Battle Phase, Sukienik attacked with Chaos Dragon Levianeer into a Rose Token.  In Main Phase 2, Sukienik used Orcust Cymbal Skeleton’s effect to Special Summon Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star from the Graveyard.  In a new Chain, Black Garden, Saryuja Skull Dread, and Dingirsu’s effect activated, then Elson Chained Metaverse.  Metaverse activated Mystic Mine but was sent to the Graveyard by Dingirsu’s effect.

In this picture, some of these monsters have their ATK halved by Black Garden, and some of them also have an additional 300 ATK from Saryuja Skull Dread’s effect. 

Elson drew, Set the card and passed.

In Sukienik’s Draw Phase, he activated it Secret Barrel to bring Sukienik down to 3900 LP.  Sukienik activated Orcustrated Babel’s effect from his Graveyard, sending White Dragon Wyverbuster from his hand to the Graveyard to add Orcustrated Babel back to his hand.  He Set Babel over Black Garden, allowing Sukienik to Summon monsters at full power.  He sent Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star, Saryuja Skull Dread, Knightmare Unicorn and Chaos Dragon Levianeer to the Graveyard to Link Summon Triple Burst Dragon.  He then banished Orcust Knightmare from his Graveyard to send Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from the Deck to the Graveyard to give Triple Burst Dragon more ATK.  He then Normal Summoned Crusadia Reclusia.  Reclusia’s effect destroyed itself and Elson’s Set Dark Bribe.  He then used Orcust Cymbal Skeleton’s effect, banishing it from the Graveyard to Special Summon Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star from the Graveyard.  Sukienik’s monsters attacked and destroyed all but 1 of Elson’s Rose Tokens.

Elson activated Terraforming and added Mystic Mine which he activated.

Sukienik drew and activated Black Garden.  He then activated Orcust Crescendo to add Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from his Deck to his hand.  He then Normal Summoned Orcust Cymbal Skeleton, giving Elson a Rose Token.

Elson top decked Pot of Extravagance!  He banished 6 cards from his Extra Deck to draw 2 cards.  He then activated Pot of Duality, revealing Just Desserts and 2 other cards.  He snap-picked Just Dessert, Set it, activated Wave-Motion Cannon and passed, representing match-ending damage on his next turn.

In Sukienik’s Draw Phase, Elson activated Just Desserts to put Sukienik at 900.  Sukienik has to clear Elson’s Wave-Motion Cannon before Elson’s next Main Phase to stay in the match.  Sukienik Tribute Summoned World Legacy – “World Wand” Tributing Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star and Orcust Cymbal Skeleton.  He then sent Saryuja Skull Dread and Triple Burst Dragon to Link Summon Hieratic Seal of Heavenly Spheres.  He used Orcustrated Babel’s effect in the Graveyard sending a Black Garden in his hand to add Babel back to his hand.  He activated Babel over the active Black Garden and had to pass.

In Elson’s Standby Phase, Sukienik used the effect of Hieratic Seal of Heavenly Spheres, Tributing it to bounce the Wave-Motion Cannon, letting Sukienik live another turn.  Sukienik activated the Hieratic’s effect to Special Summon Eclipse Wyvern from his Deck.  Elson re-activated Wave-Motion Cannon, Set a card and passed.  In the End Phase, Sukienik activated Orcust Cymbal Skeleton in his Graveyard to Special Summon Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star from the Graveyard and sent Wave-Motion Cannon to the Graveyard, getting rid of the threat but still sitting precariously at 900 LP.

Sukienik had Dingirsu attack a Rose Token.

Elson activated Card of Demise, drew 3, Set 3 and passed.

In Sukienik’s Standby Phase, Elson activated Secret Blast to end it!
