The Main Deck is 55 cards, but as we’ve seen in Feature Matches this weekend, that didn’t lead to a lack of consistency. This Deck revolves around sending specific cards to the Graveyard to setup the combos that end up making the optimal Orcust field of Galatea, the Orcust Automaton, Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star and Orcust Crescendo in the backrow. The Deck also uses Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights as a means to add specific Warriors like Armageddon Knight and Dark Grepher to the hand, but also leverages Isolde’s second effect, sending Equip Spells from the Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon a Warrior from the Deck to extend combos as needed.
The Isolde package also synergizes with the Neo Space Connector suite of cards, with Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin being able to strip an opponent’s hand trap from the hand before going into the combo and giving Deeter full information about what’s coming up on the opponent’s turn. As we’ve seen, Aqua Dolphin can single handedly force a concession just minutes into a round.
Congratulations to Benjamin Deeter for making it to the Finals!
