Welcome to Round 7! This is the final Round of Swiss we’re playing today. I mentioned in the previous Feature Match that 2 Mexican Duelists got a pop from the crowd when their names were announced as Bounty Duelists. Adrian Madriz Espinoza from Guadalajara is that second Duelists, and here’s here with an Endymion-based Pendulum Deck. He’s taking on Salvador Osmar Gonzalez Zuany from Chihuahua with Infernoid! We’ve seen Infernoid here and there at YCS’s and Regional Qualifiers so it’s good to see it here at the Feature Match table! For the last time today, it’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Gonzalez Zuany won the roll and elected to go second. Madriz Espinoza started with a hand of Magister of Endymion, Destrudo the Lost Dragon’s Frission, Foolish Burial, Into the Void and Mythical Beast Jackal King. He started with Foolish Burial to send Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Deck to the Graveyard. He activated the effect to Special Summon it from the Graveyard then activated its on-field effect to add Supreme King Gate Zero from his Deck to his hand. Next, he activated Into the Void to draw Dragon Shrine. He activated Magister into the Pendulum Zone, then Supreme King Supreme King Gate Zero in the other one. He then Pendulum Summoned Destrudo the Lost Dragon’s Frission and Mythical Beast Jackal King from his hand. Mythical Beast Jackal King and Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm went to the Extra Deck to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite. Its effect sent Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic from the Deck to the Extra Deck. Heavymetalfoes Electrumite’s effect destroyed Supreme King Gate Zero and added back Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Extra Deck and drew Chronograph Sorcerer. He Normal Summoned Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm and used Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm to Link Summon Guardragon Elpy. Heavymetalfoes Electrumite and Destrudo the Lost Dragon’s Frission turned into Triple Burst Dragon then Elpy’s effect Special Summoned another Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm. Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm and Triple Burst Dragon turned into Guardragon Agarpain. Its effect Special Summoned Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon from the Extra Deck. A bunch of plays later and the field ended up like this:

Gonzalez Zuany Normal Summoned Infernoid Decatron. He activated its effect and Madriz Espinoza chained Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon, sending Supreme King Gate Zero from the Extra Deck back to the Deck to negate the effect and destroy Decatron. Gonzalez Zuany activated Reasoning and Madriz Espinoza negated it with F.A. Dawn Dragster. Gonzalez Zuany banished the Decatron in Graveyard and an Infernoid Onuncu from his hand to Special Summon Inferoid Seitsemas from his hand. Inferoid Seitsemas attacked over Madriz Espinoza’s F.A. Dawn Dragster. Madriz Espinoza activated Hieratic Seal of Heavenly Spheres’s effect and Gonzalez Zuany scooped.

Duel 2

Gonzalez Zuany elected to go first. He banished Inferoid Seitsemas from his hand to Special Summon Infernoid Patrulea form his hand, then banished an Infernoid Sjette from his hand to Special Summon Infernoid Harmadik from his hand. He Set one to the back and passed.

Madriz Espinoza drew Supreme King Gate Zero, adding to his hand of Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic, Spell Power Mastery, 2 copies of Into the Void and Reflection of Endymion. He started with Spell Power Mastery, adding Servant of Endymion to his hand. He activated Servant, then activated Into the Void to draw Chronograph Sorcerer. He activated the second Into the Void to draw Magister of Endymion. Chronograph Sorcerer was next, and its effect destroyed itself to Special Summon Timegazer Magician from the Deck. Servant’s effect was next, Special Summoning itself from the Pendulum Zone and Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic from the Deck with each getting a Spell Counter. Servant and Timegazer Magician went to the Graveyard to Link Summon Heavymetalfoes Electrumite. Heavymetalfoes Electrumite’s effect sent Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from the Deck to the Extra Deck. He activated Magister the Reflection. He Pendulum Summoned Chronograph Sorcerer and Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm from his Extra Deck along with Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic and Supreme King Gate Zero from his hand. Supreme King Dragon Darkwurm turned into Guardragon Elpy, then Heavymetalfoes Electrumite and Supreme King Gate Zero turned into Triple Burst Dragon. Gonzalez Zuany used the effect of Guardragon Elpy to Special Summon Aether, the Evil Empowering Dragon from the Deck. Aether’s effect banished Gonzalez Zuany’s Infernoid Patrulea from the field. Aether and Triple Burst Dragon went to the Extra Deck and the Graveyard respectively to Link Summon Guardragon Agarpain. Its effect Special Summoned Borrelsword Dragon from the Extra Deck. The Defense Position Harmadik wasn’t enough to stop what was about to happen, and Gonzalez Zuany couldn’t activate the Set Void Feast since he didn’t have a “Void” Spell/Trap in his hand to pay its cost. Gonzalez Zuany extended the handshake!
