We saw a version of the Lunalight Orcust Deck at YCS Portland and this one has some similarities. Only one of these Duelists will move on to the Top 8. It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Jawhari won the roll and elected to go first. He started with a hand of Shaddoll Dragon, 2 copies of Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay, and 2 copies of Danger! Nessie!. He started with Danger! Nessie!, and Land hit one of them. Jawhari used Danger! Nessie!’s Graveyard effect to add Danger!? Tsuchinoko? from his Deck to his hand. He activated the second Danger! Nessie!, and Land hit a Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay. Danger! Nessie! hit the field and Jawhari drew Orcustrated Babel. He activated it, then activated Danger!? Tsuchinoko? in his hand which Land hit the 1 out of 3. Danger!? Tsuchinoko? was Special Summoned from the Graveyard anyway. He proceeded to do the Orcust combo, discarding Shaddoll Dragon for Knightmare Mermaid, Summoning Orcust Knightmare from the Deck. Both monsters turned into a Galatea, the Orcust Automaton. He used Orcust Knightmare’s effect from the Graveyard, banishing it to send Orcust Harp Horror to the Graveyard, and it was banished to Summon Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from the Deck. Both monsters were used to make Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator, then he used Orcust Cymbal Skeleton’s Graveyard effect, banishing it to Summon Galatea, the Orcust Automaton from the Graveyard. He activated Galatea, the Orcust Automaton’s effect to shuffle an Orcust into the Deck and Set Orcust Crescendo from the Deck. Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star went on top of Galatea, then both Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator and Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star were sent to the Graveyard to Link Summon  Topologic Bomber Dragon.

Land Set a card, then revealed Danger! Mothman!, which Jawhari hit. Danger! Mothman! let both players draw and discard, then Land activated Lunalight Yellow Martin from his hand, discarding it to add Lunalight Serenade Dance from his Deck to his hand. He Set another backrow then activated Danger!? Tsuchinoko?, with Jawhari hitting Armageddon KnightDanger!? Tsuchinoko? hit the field and Land drew a card. Land Normal Summoned Lunalight Kaleido Chick and Jawhari used Orcust Cymbal Skeleton to Special Summon Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator from the Graveyard, and because he put it in a zone Topologic Bomber Dragon points to, Topologic Bomber Dragon’s effect destroyed all monsters in Main Monster Zones. (While Longirsu is linked, it can’t be destroyed by card effects. Since Topologic Bomber Dragon was pointing to Longirsu, both monsters are considered linked and Longirsu got to stay on the field). Land then activated Foolish Burial to send Lunalight Emerald Bird form the Deck to the Graveyard. Emerald Bird’s effect brought Lunalight Kaleido Chick form the Graveyard. Jawhari then used Orcust Harp Horror to bring out Orcust Knightmare form the Deck, and because it was Summoned behind Topologic Bomber Dragon, Topologic Bomber Dragon blew up the field again (with Orcust Knightmare as well.)  Land then activated Foolish Burial Goods, but Jawhari negated it with Orcust Crescendo. Land then activated Danger! Nessie! with Jawhari hitting it. Land added Danger!? Jackelope? to his hand, which he then activated but Jawhari hit it again! Land opted to concede here.

Lunalight Serenade Dance’s Graveyard effect banished itself, with Land discarding Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite to Special Summon Lunalight Kaleido Chick form the Deck. Lunalight Kaleido Chick’s effect sent Lunalight Panther Dancer from the Extra Deck to the Graveyard. Land then sent all 3 monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summon Curious the Lightsworn Dominion. Its effect sent Summon Limit, then Curious the Lightsworn Dominion’s effect sent the next 3 cards including a Luna Light Perfume. Zephyros’s effect brought itself back by bouncing Lunalight Tiger back to Land’s hand. Curious the Lightsworn Dominion and Zephyros were sent to Link Summon Knightmare Gryphon. Gryphon’s effect let Land discard Orcust Knightmare to Set Summon Limit from the Graveyard and draw a card. Orcust Harp Horror was banished from the Graveyard to Summon Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from the Deck. Knightmare Mermaid and Orcust Cymbal Skeleton turned into Galatea, the Orcust Automaton, then Galatea put Orcust Harp Horror back in the Deck to Set Orcust Crescendo. Tiger came out again, and Tiger’s effect brought back Lunalight Kaleido Chick. Galatea and Lunalight Kaleido Chick turned into Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator. Orcust Cymbal Skeleton brought back Galatea, the Orcust Automaton. Then Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star went on top of Galatea, the Orcust Automaton whose effect attached an banished Orcust. Orcust Knightmare was banished form the Graveyard to send World Legacy – “World Wand” from the Deck to the Graveyard.

Jawhari Special Summoned Tenyi Spirit – Vishuda which turned into Monk of the Tenyi and Land activated Summon Limit. Tenyi Spirit – Vishuda was banished to bounce Summon Limit but Land chained Orcust Crescendo to negate it. Jawhari Set Scrap Recycler and passed.

Land Banished Luna Light Perfume, discarded Orcust Harp Horror to add Lunalight Wolf from his Deck to his hand. He then activated Lunalight Wolf and Jawhari chained Artifact Lancea. Land Normal Summoned Armageddon Knight whose effect sent Lunalight Emerald Bird. Bird’s effect Special Summoned the banished Lunalight Yellow Martin. Armageddon Knight attacked over Jawhari’s Monk of the Tenyi, then Knightmare Gryphon attacked over the Set Scrap Recycler, then Galatea and Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star attacked directly.

Jawhari drew and conceded.

Orcust Knightmare’s effect banished itself to send Orcust Harp Horror which was banished to Special Summon Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from the Deck. Both monsters turned into a Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator. Orcust Cymbal Skeleton banished itself to Special Summon Galatea, the Orcust Automaton from the Graveyard and Land activated Nibiru, the Primal Being from his hand. Jawhari chained Galatea, the Orcust Automaton to shuffle back an Orcust card to Set Orcust Crescendo.

Land started with Lunalight Tiger then activated Danger!? Jackelope?, with Jawhari hitting Orcust Crescendo. Danger!? Jackelope? hit the field and Land drew a card. He Normal Summoned Lunalight Yellow Martin. He used it and Danger!? Jackelope? to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix whose went into Knightmare Mermaid. Its effect let Land discard another Nibiru, the Primal Being to Special Summon Orcust Knightmare from the Deck. Tiger’s effect brought back Lunalight Yellow Martin from the Graveyard. Knightmare Mermaid and Orcust Knightmare were used to Link Summon Galatea, the Orcust Automaton. Orcust Knightmare’s effect boosted Nibiru while Orcust Harp Horror was sent to the Graveyard. Orcust Harp Horror’s effect was next, Harp Horror was banished from the Graveyard to Special Summon Orcust Cymbal Skeleton from the Deck.
