YCS Niagara Falls: Check Out The Prize Wall!
There’s a lot to love at every YCS weekend, but one of the coolest things about the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series is the huge spread of prizes in both the Main Events and Public Events.
YCS Niagara Falls marks the debut of some new loot that’s never been offered before, as well as the return of some popular prizes and the fan-favorite Prize Wall. Check out the spread!
One of the coolest offerings this weekend is actually a new addition to the Dragon Duel tournaments. The awarding of medals for the Top 4 finishers in the Saturday and Sunday Dragon Duels is a longstanding tradition, but eagle-eyed Duel fans may notice something different about the medals this weekend: the Dragon! The last series of Dragon Duel Medals featured Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, but as of this weekend the new generation centers on a slick Red-Eyes B. Dragon logo instead.
Pictures can’t really do it justice – it’s an awesome looking prize for up-and-coming competitors and it’s a nice nod to the Dragon Duel division as the 2019-2020 tournament season kicks into high gear.
Win-A-Mat tournaments give players at big events a chance to score rare game mats featuring key characters from different eras of the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, and the latest Win-A-Mat prize features Bakura, flanked by his new ace monster Curse Necrofear on one side, as well as Dark Spirit of Banishment and Dark Spirit of Malice on the other. All three monsters are from next week’s Legendary Duelists: Immortal Destiny release, celebrating the sinister Bakura’s biggest fan-favorites.
Looking for more mats? Varis fans can compete in Structure Deck Sealed Tournaments to win this Rokket Revolt game mat with Topologic Zeroboros and Borreload Furious Dragon. Zeroboros is actually seeing some play in the YCS Main Event today, so hopefully we can capture it in a Feature Match.
Intrepid Duelists can compete in Speed Duel tournaments all weekend long for a range of prizes, including this Speed Duel mat with Dark Magician and Blue-Eyes. Successful Speed Duelists can also claim boosters of Speed Duel: Tournament Pack 1, a rare release that can be tough to find. It’s packed with new versions of classic Ultra Rares that are huge on the collector’s market, so they’re a big draw for Speed Duel Public Events.
And of course, some of the coolest prizes are only offered in the ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! tournaments! This weekend there are two formats: Advanced Format ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! events awarding massive copies of Gizmek Orochi, the Serpentron Sky Slasher and Fortune Lady Every, plus a Speed Duel ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! tournament with jumbo versions of the Destiny Draw Skill Card.
The Team YCS in Atlanta earlier this year turned out to be one of the most crowd pleasing events of all time, and another Team YCS is scheduled for Lima, Peru the weekend of November 2. Want to get in on some 3-on-3 action? Duelists competing in 3 versus 3 tournaments here at YCS Niagara Falls have a chance to win uncut foil sheets of Rising Rampage.
There are even more uncut sheets on offer at the Prize Wall, too! Throw down in Public Events here at the YCS and you can win tickets to redeem for all sorts of prizes, including World Championship Qualifier sleeves, scorepads, pens, Registration Dice and more!
Missed a game mat from tournaments gone by? The Prize Wall’s a great place to find a rotating group of game mats from past events, including Regional Qualifier hits like the Borrelsword Dragon and Saryuja Skull Dread mats.
Whatever you’re looking for, there’s probably a prize you want in Public Events. And with so many different ways to win, it’s never been easier to get the stuff you want. Even if you’re laser focused on the YCS main event, be sure to drop by the Prize Wall and see what’s on offer – it’s an awesome showcase of some stellar swag!
