QQ: Which Deck Will Win This Weekend?

October 6th, 2019

QQ stands for Quick Questions! We’ve made it through 9 of the Swiss Rounds, and only 2 more Swiss Rounds remain before the Top 32 cut! I surveyed the Duelists in attendance to see which Deck they think is going to take 1st place in YCS Ft. Worth this weekend. Check out their responses!

Nigel Lamb

“Sky Striker. That’s what I’m playing and I’m 8-0-1!” -Nigel Lamb

Raphael Neven

“It’s very hard to say. The meta is so diverse. I think some Orcust variant will win. That engine is very good. I play pure Orcust, but Lunalight Orcust and Cyber Dragon Orcust is also very good. So many good players play so many different Decks though, it can really be anyone winning.” -Raphael Neven

Nicholas Jadusingh

“I think it’s going to be an Orcust variant, 98%. Possibly a Lunalight variant because it’s really good. It’s possible that Salamangreat or Sky Striker can also topple the juggernaut that is Orcust, just because of their ability to side D.D. Crow and control the game state.” -Nicholas Jadusingh

Dre Wilkins

“Lunalight Orcust. It’s the best Deck, hands down. It has the most recovery plays, the most lockout plays, and is the most consistent.” -Dre Wilkins

Akeem Davis

“Salamanagreat. It’s the best Deck. It’s really good in the grind game, has a good matchup against everything, and plays a lot of ‘hand traps’.” -Akeem Davis

Colby Bennett

“Probably Lunalight Orcust. It just has so many power plays and the ceiling is really high. It’s also very consistent.” -Colby Bennett

By the end of the day, we’ll know which Deck triumphs here in YCS Ft. Worth!
