This is it. Ramiro Garcia from Dallas, Texas is Dueling against Raphael Neven from the Netherlands in a Match that will determine who wins the YCS. Neven is a 2-time YCS Champion, and although Garcia only has 1 YCS win, that victory was a mere week ago at YCS Guadalajara with the same type of Deck he’s using today! It’s Garcia’s Lunalight Orcust Deck against Neven’s pure Orcust Deck. Let’s Duel!

Duel One

Garcia opened up with Fire Formation – Tenki, World Legacy – “World Wand”, Orcust Knightmare, Danger! Mothman!, and Lunalight Yellow Marten.

He Set the Tenki and used Mothman’s effect to randomly discard World Wand. He Special Summoned Mothman to the field and drew Armageddon Knight from his Deck. He Summoned the Knight and used its effect to send Lunalight Kaleido Chick from his Deck to his Graveyard. He flipped Tenki next, and used its effect to add Lunalight Tiger to his hand. He combined his Knight with Mothman to Xyz Summon Outer Entity Nyarla and then Xyz Summoned Outer Entity Azathot over it. He activated Lunalight Tiger in his Pendulum Zone, Special Summoned Kaleido Chick, and sent a Yellow Marten to the Graveyard. He Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix next, and then used the Phoenix to Link Summon Knightmare Mermaid. He used the Mermaid’s effect to discard Orcust Knightmare and Special Summon another copy of Orcust Knightmare from his Deck, and then used Yellow Marten’s effect to Special Summon it and return Lunalight Tiger to his hand. He replayed the Tiger and used it to Special Summon Kaleido Chick back from his Graveyard, and used Kaleido Chick’s effect to send Lunalight Emerald Bird to his Graveyard. He combined 2 monsters to Xyz Summon Abyss Dweller linked to Knightmare Mermaid and then Link Summoned Galatea, the Orcust Automaton. He banished Orcust Knightmare from his Graveyard to send Orcust Harp Horror to his Graveyard and used Harp Horror’s effect. After a flurry of plays, he ended his turn with Orcust Crescendo face-down, and with Dingirsu, Tenki, Lunalight Tiger, Galatea, Abyss Dweller, Orcust Knightmare, and Dingirsu, the Orcust of the Evening Star on the field.

Neven activated Cosmic Cyclone and gave up 1000 Life Points to target Orcust Crescendo. Garcia Chained the Crescendo. Next, Neven used Orcustrated Return by sending a Harp Horror from his hand to his Graveyard, and Garcia Chained the effect of Abyss Dweller. Neven Normal Summoned Knightmare Corruptor Iblee next, and used it to Link Summon Knightmare Mermaid. He activated its effect by discarding another Knightmare Corruptor Iblee and Special Summoned Orcust Knightmare from his Deck. He sent his 2 monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summon Galatea and then Xyz Summoned Dingirsu over it. He sent Garcia’s Dingirsu to the Graveyard and then activated Monster Reborn to Special Summon Longirsu, the Orcust Orchestrator from Garcia’s Graveyard. He attacked Galatea and Dweller to destroy them, dropping Garcia down to 7200 Life Points and destroying both monsters.

Garcia drew Luna Light Perfume and then used his Tiger’s effect to Special Summon Kaleido Chick. He then returned the Tiger to his hand to Special Summon Yellow Marten to the field and replayed the Tiger, using its effect to Special Summon Emerald Bird. He Link Summoned Borrelsword Dragon and Neven Special Summoned Fantastical Dragon Phantazmay from his hand. He activated its effect to draw 2 cards and return a card to his Deck. Garcia Special Summoned Dingirsu next, and then used Dingirsu’s effect to send Phantazmay to the Graveyard. He banished Orcust Knightmare from his Graveyard to send World Wand from his Deck to his Graveyard next, and then banished World Wand to Special Summon Harp Horror. Borrelsword attacked Dingirsu, and Neven conceded, realizing that the Duel was over that turn.

Duel Two

Neven chose to go first in Duel 2. He Normal Summoned Scrap Recycler and used its effect to send Orcust Harp Horror from his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished the Harp Horror to Special Summon Orcust Knightmare from his Deck and then sent his 2 monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summon Galatea. Garcia Special Summoned Phantazmay from his hand, drew 2 cards, and then returned a card from his hand to his Deck. Neven pressed on, banishing Orcust Knightmare from his Graveyard to send World Wand to his Graveyard, and then banished World Wand to Special Summon his Knightmare. He used Galatea’s effect to send his banished World Wand back to his Deck and Set Orcust Crescendo to his field. He Xyz Summoned Dingirsu, using its effect to send Phantazmay to the Graveyard. He Link Summoned Galatea next, and Set a card to his back row.

Garcia drew a card and then had Armageddon Knight, Orcustrated Babel, Mothman, Red Reboot, World Wand, and Luna Light Perfume in his hand. He Summoned his Knight and used its effect to send Yellow Marten to the Graveyard. Neven flipped his Called by the Grave to banish it from the Duel. Garcia used Mothman’s effect next, and randomly discarded the Mothman, allowing both players to draw a card and discard one. Neven discarded Scrap Recycler, and Garcia discarded Nessie. He used Nessie’s effect to add Danger!? Tsuchinoko? from his Deck to his hand and activated its effect. He randomly discarded Perfume, Special Summoned Tsuchinoko, and then drew another copy of Tsuchinoko. He sent Armageddon Knight and Tsuchinoko to the Graveyard to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix and then sent his Phoenix to the Graveyard to Link Summon Knightmare Mermaid. He discarded World Wand to activate its effect, and when Neven activated Crescendo, Garcia Chained Red Reboot from his hand! Neven Set it back face-down and Set Infinite Impermanence from his Deck. Garcia Special Summoned Orcust Knightmare from his Deck with the effect of his Mermaid and then combined his 2 monsters to Link Summon Galatea. He banished Knightmare from his Graveyard to send Harp Horror to his Graveyard and tried to use its effect by banishing it, losing out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He banished World Wand from his Graveyard next, Special Summoning Knightmare. He used Galatea’s effect next, sending World Wand back to his Deck and Setting Orcust Crescendo from his Deck to his field. He banished Perfume from his Graveyard and discarded Tsuchinoko to add Lunalight Kaleido Chick to his hand and then Special Summoned Tsuchinoko. He Xyz Summoned Dingirsu over Galatea next, and then used Dingirsu’s effect to send Infinite Impermanence to Neven’s Graveyard. He attacked with Dingirsu and Tsuchinoko, destroying Neven’s Galatea, and then Link Summoned Longirsu in Main Phase 2. He activated Orcustrated Babel and then ended his turn.

Neven activated Instant Fusion and gave up 1000 Life Points to Special Summon Thousand-Eyes Restrict from his Extra Deck. He activated its effect, but lost out to Garcia’s Crescendo. Neven Summoned Scrap Recycler next, and used its effect to send Harp Horror from his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished the Harp Horror to Special Summon Cymbal Skeleton to his field. Garcia banished Cymbal Skeleton from the Graveyard to Special Summon Dingirsu to his field and used its effect to send Scrap Recycler to the Graveyard. Neven activated Orcustrated Return to send Cymbal Skeleton to the Graveyard and draw 2 cards. Neven banished Cymbal Skeleton from his Graveyard to Special Summon Dingirsu, Garcia Chained an effect of one of his cards, and Dingirsu sent Garcia’s Dingirsu to the Graveyard. After a couple quick plays, Neven had cleared Garcia’s field and had Galatea and Orcustrated Babel on the field with 2 cards in his back row.

Garcia opened up Duel 3 with Orcust Harp Horror, Armageddon Knight, Lunalight Tiger, Danger! Nessie!, and Lunalight Emerald Bird. He Summoned Armageddon Knight and activated its effect to send Lunalight Kaleido Chick from his Deck to his Graveyard. Then he activated Lunalight Tiger in his Pendulum Zone and used its effect to Special Summon the Kaleido Chick. He used Kaleido Chick’s effect to send Yellow Marten to the Graveyard. He activated the effect of the Nessie in his hand next, randomly discarding Emerald Bird to Special Summon the Nessie and draw a Jackalope from his Deck. He Special Summoned Yellow Marten from his Graveyard and then combined 3 of his monsters to Link Summon Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion. He activated its effect to send Zephyros to his Graveyard and then sent Harp Horror, Lunalight Tiger, and Foolish Burial Goods from the top of his Deck to his Graveyard. After a flurry of plays, he ended his turn with a field of Abyss Dweller, Knightmare Gryphon, Dingirsu, Galatea, Orcustrated Babel, and 2 cards in his back row.
