Duel One
Campos won the die roll and chose to go first. He opened up with Lunalight Kaleido Chick, Foolish Burial, Zubababancho Gagagacoat, Lunalight Tiger, and D.D. Crow.
He Summoned Kaleido Chick and used it to send Lunalight Yellow Marten to the Graveyard and then put Lunalight Tiger in the Pendulum Zone. He used its effect to Special Summon Yellow Marten and then sent his 2 monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summon PSY-Framelord Lambda. He used Marten’s effect to Special Summon it by returning Tiger to his hand and then activated Tiger again. He used Tiger’s effect to Special Summon Kaleido Chick and then Xyz Summoned Time Thief Redoer. He then used his Redoer’s effect to banish it from the field until the End Phase and used Yellow Marten’s effect to add Lunalight Serenade Dance to his hand. He also used his Lambda’s effect so he could grab a PSY-Frame to add to his hand in the End Phase. He used Foolish Burial to send Blackwing – Zephyros the Elite to his Graveyard next, and then Special Summoned it by returning Lunalight Tiger to his hand. He placed the Tiger back in his Pendulum Zone and then activated the Tiger’s effect once more, Special Summoning Kaleido Chick. He Link Summoned I.P. Masquerena next. In his End Phase, he returned Time Thief Redoer to his field and added PSY-Framegear Gamma to his hand with Lambda’s effect.
Han drew a card and Campos used his Redoer’s effect to attach a SPYRAL Super Agent from the top of Han’s Deck to his Redoer as an Xyz Material. Han activated Reinforcement of the Army to add SPYRAL Tough to his hand next, and then activated SPYRAL MISSION – Assault. He Normal Summoned Tough and then attempted to enter his Battle Phase; but Campos used the effect of his Masquerena. He sent Masquerena and Redoer to the Graveyard to Link Summon Knightmare Unicorn and discarded Serenade Dance to activate its effect and shuffle Tough back into Campos’s Deck. Han activated SPYRAL GEAR – Big Red to try to Special Summon Tough back from the Graveyard, but Campos Chained D.D. Crow to banish it. Next, Campos used Cosmic Cyclone and gave up 1000 Life Points to banish Tiger from the Pendulum Zone.
Campos activated Fire Formation – Tenki and added Lunalight Tiger to his hand, prompting Han to use Droll & Lock Bird. Next, Campos activated Tiger in the Pendulum Zone and used its effect to Special Summon Kaleido Chick. He then Special Summoned Yellow Marten from his Graveyard by returning Tiger to his hand and combined Kaleido Chick with Yellow Marten to Xyz Summon Number 60: Dugares the Timeless. He used its effect to double the ATK of Knightmare Unicorn and then direct attacks from Lambda, Dugares, and Knightmare Unicorn wiped out all of Han’s Life Points!
Michael Campos wins the first Duel with his Lunalights! Han chose to go first in Duel 2.
Duel Two
Han started off Duel 2 by activating Reinforcement of the Army to add SPYRAL Tough to his hand, prompting Campos to use the effect of his Droll & Lock Bird.
Han Normal Summoned Tough and then activated the effect of the Super Agent in his hand, guessing that the top card of Campos’s Deck was a monster; but it was a Spell Card – Foolish Burial Goods! Han ended his turn with only a Tough on the field in Attack Position!
Campos drew a card and then had Dododowarf Gogogoglove, Foolish Burial Goods, Lunalight Tiger, Lunalight Kaleido Chick, and Foolish Burial Goods in his hand. He activated Foolish Burial Goods to send Lunalight Serenade Dance from his Deck to his Graveyard. He banished it from his Graveyard and discarded his Dododowarf Gogogoglove to Special Summon Lunalight Emerald Bird. He used its effect to send a Kaleido Chick in his hand to his Graveyard and draw a card. Next, he activated Tiger in his Pendulum Zone and used its effect to Special Summon Kaleido Chick back from the Graveyard. He used Kaleido Chick to send Yellow Marten from his Deck to his Graveyard and then combined his 2 monsters into Number 39: Utopia Double! He entered his Battle Phase, and then used Utopia Double’s effect. He upgraded it into Number 39: Utopia with 5000 ATK and added Double or Nothing! from his Deck to his hand. He attacked SPYRAL Tough, used Utopia’s effect to negate the attack, and then activated Double or Nothing! to double Utopia’s ATK to 10,000 and let it attack again! Utopia’s attack over SPYRAL Tough wiped out all 8000 of Han’s Life Points!
Michael Campos takes a quick victory in Duel 2 with Number 39: Utopia and Double or Nothing!, securing the 2-0 victory! He’s moving on with an 8-2 record!
