QQ: Most Popular Decks and How to Stop Them

April 10th, 2022

QQ stands for Quick Questions! What Decks do Duelists expect to be most popular here at YCS Charlotte? And what are they using to counter these Decks?

Stewart Luzier, 28, expects Adventure Prank-Kids and is packing Token Collector for them; and Floowandereeze, with Dark Contract with the Eternal Darkness for those.

William Buck, 24, expects a lot of Adventure, Synchro “Goodstuff”, and Destiny HERO – Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. To defeat those, he’s brought along, in his words, sheer protagonist willpower. We’ll see if it works out for him!

Jonathan Reed, 19, plans to run into Prank-Kids, Rose Dragon Adventure, and Floowandereeze Decks. He’s using a lot of points of interaction from the hand and mass removal to handle these Decks.

Carter Wix, 21, thinks Sky Striker will be big this weekend and is packing Twin Twisters to keep them in check.

Christopher LaStarria, 23, expects Prank-Kids Adventure to be big. He’s using an Adventure Deck of his own, but a Phantom Knight variant with no points of interaction from the hand.

Julian Lebrian, 25, plans to run into a lot of Prank-Kids, and has brought along Nibiru, the Primal Being to put them in their place.

A lot of different answers to handle them, but the general consensus was to expect Adventures heading into the weekend – and they were right!
