Duel One

Candia started off the first Duel by activating Rite of Aramesir and Chaining the effect of Wandering Gryphon Rider to Special Summon it.

William Candia

He Special Summoned an Adventurer Token and placed Fateful Adventure from his Deck to his Spell & Trap Card Zone. Next, he sent Magician of Chaos from his Deck to his Graveyard to Special Summon Magicians’ Souls. He used the effect of Fateful Adventure to add Dracoback, the Rideable Dragon to his hand, and when Gonzalez used the effect of Droll & Lock Bird, Candia Chained the effect of his Wandering Gryphon Rider to negate it. Next, he used Fateful Adventure’s effect to add Water Enchantress of the Temple to his hand and discard Dracoback. He used Dracoback’s effect to equip it to his Token and then used Souls’s effect to send Fateful Adventure and Dracoback to the Graveyard and draw 2 cards. He used Quick Launch to Special Summon Rokket Tracer and then Link Summoned Crystron Halqifibrax. He used its effect to Special Summon Red Rose Dragon and then Special Summoned Water Enchantress from his hand with its effect. He Synchro Summoned Baronne de Fleur next, and then used his Red Rose’s effect to Special Summon Roxrose Dragon. He sent his Roxrose to the Graveyard to Link Summon Guardragon Pisty and then Normal Summoned Fairy Tail – Snow. He Link Summoned Triple Burst Dragon next, and then used Pisty’s effect to Special Summon Rokket Tracer from his Graveyard. He then used Triple Burst and Pisty to Link Summon Hieratic Seal of the Heavenly Spheres and activated Basal Rose Shoot. He Chained Tracer’s effect targeting Rose Shoot and Special Summoned Rocket Recharger and Red Rose Dragon. Next, he banished Water Enchantress of the Temple from his Graveyard to add Rite of Aramesir to his hand and then Synchro Summoned Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon. He used its effect to excavate the top 5 cards of his Deck and add Effect Veiler to his hand, sending the other 4 cards to his Graveyard. He then sent Red Rose to the Graveyard to Link Summon Striker Dragon and used its effect to add Boot Sector Launch to his hand. He used Striker Dragon’s effect to destroy Chaos Ruler and add Recharger to his hand, and then used Recharger’s effect to Special Summon Triple Burst Dragon. He Special Summoned Chaos Ruler from his Graveyard next with its effect, and then used Chaos Ruler, Triple Burst, and Striker Dragon to Link Summon Borrelend Dragon. He Special Summoned Fairy Tail – Snow from his Graveyard by banishing 7 cards from his Graveyard next, and then used Borrelend’s effect (by negating the effect of Snow on the field) to Special Summon Rokket Tracer. He Synchro Summoned Borreload Savage Dragon next and used its effect to equip it with Triple Burst Dragon and add 3 Borrel Counters to it.

Gonzalez had Pikari @Ignister, Ignister A.I.Land, Forbidden Droplet, and Harpies Feather Duster in his hand before drawing Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring for his turn. He immediately conceded, seeing no way to break through Candia’s field.

Gonzalez chose to go second in Duel 2!

Duel Two

Candia started off Duel 2 by activating Quick Launch to Special Summon Rokket Tracer from his Deck. He sent it to the Graveyard to Link Summon Striker Dragon and then used its effect to add Boot Sector Launch to his hand, prompting Gonzalez to use the effect of Droll & Lock Bird. Candia used Striker’s effect to destroy the Striker and add Rokket Tracer from his Graveyard to his hand. He activated Boot Sector Launch next and used it to Special Summon Tracer from his hand. He used Tracer’s effect to destroy Boot Sector Launch and Special Summon Rokket Recharger. Next, he Synchro Summoned Borreload Savage Dragon and equipped it with Striker Dragon to add a Borrel Counter to it. He Set a card to his back row before passing his turn.

Gonzalez had Metaverse, Achichi @Ignister, Droll & Lock Bird, and Artifact Lancea in his hand before drawing A.I. Meet You for his turn.

Jesus Gonzalez

In his Standby Phase, Candia flipped Anti-Spell Fragrance. Gonzalez Summoned Achichi and activated its effect, but lost out to Candia’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Next, Gonzalez Link Summoned Dark Infant @Ignister and used its effect to add Ignister A.I.Land to his hand. He Set it to his Field Spell Card Zone and then Set Metaverse and A.I. Meet You to his back row before passing.

Candia Special Summoned White Dragon Wyverburster from his hand by banishing Recharger from his Graveyard, prompting Gonzalez to use the effect of the Artifact Lancea in his hand. Gonzalez negated it with Borreload Savage Dragon. Candia attacked and destroyed Dark Infant with Borreload Savage Dragon and then a direct attack from White Dragon Wyverburster dropped Gonzalez down to 3300 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Candia sent his monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summoned Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy and used the effect of Wyverburster to add Dark Dragon Collapserpent to his hand. Gonzalez used the effect of Droll & Lock Bird and then flipped Metaverse and added Mystic Mine to his hand. Candia used Dharc to Special Summon Dark Infant and then Special Summoned Collapserpent from his hand. He sent it to the Graveyard to Link Summon Guardragon Pisty and then used Pisty’s effect to Special Summon Rokket Tracer. He used Tracer’s effect to destroy his Pisty and Special Summon Rokket Synchron from his Deck and then sent Dharc and Tracer to the Graveyard to Link Summon Knightmare Unicorn co-linked with Dark Infant. He used its effect to discard Dragon Ravine and send Gonzalez’s face-down back row card back to the Deck, but couldn’t draw a card with the Unicorn’s effect due to the effect of Droll & Lock Bird. Next, Candia sent all of his monsters to the Graveyard to Link Summon Borrelend Dragon and Set a card to his back row.

Gonzalez drew Artifact Lancea and Set it to his back row.

Candia flipped his face-down Foolish Burial and sent Fairy Tail – Snow from his Deck to his Graveyard. A direct attack from Borrelend Dragon then wiped out Gonzalez’s remaining 3300 Life Points!

William Candia takes a 2-0 win with his Adventure Dragon Link Deck to advance with an 8-1-1 record!
