Top 32 Feature Match: Pascal Manigat vs. Ethan Vincent

Pascal Manigat from Elmont, New York used his Floowandereeze Deck to make it to the Top 32 of the 2022 North America Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Championship! Ethan Vincent from Halifax, Canada made it to the Top 32 with a Branded Despia Deck. Now they’re facing off in a Match that will determine which Duelist advances to the Top 16! It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Manigat opened up Duel 1 with Floowandereeze and the Magnificent Map, Mist Valley Apex Avian, Pot of Duality, Simorgh, Bird of Perfection, and Floowandereeze & Empen.

Pascal Manigat

He activated Pot of Duality to reveal Floowandereeze & Eglen plus two other cards from the top of his Deck, and added the Eglen to his hand. He activated his Map next and used it to reveal Eglen, banish Floowandereeze & Robina from his Deck, and Summon the Eglen. He added the Robina to his hand, Summoned it, activated its effect, and Chained the effect of Simorgh, Bird of Perfection. He added Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds to his hand, Tribute Summoned Empen, and used the effects of Simorgh, Eglen, and Empen. He added Elborz, the Sacred Lands of Simorgh and Floowandereeze and the Dreaming Town to his hand. He Summoned his Barrier Statue to the field and then Normal Summoned Apex Avian. He Set Dreaming Town to his back row and then ended his turn.

Vincent activated Frightfur Patchwork and added Polymerization and Edge Imp Chain to his hand. He activated the effect of Albion the Shrouded Dragon, sending Fallen of Albaz from his deck to his Graveyard to draw a card. He activated Forbidden Droplet by sending Super Polymerization and Edge Imp Chain from his hand to his Graveyard, negating the effects of Apex Avian and the Barrier Statue and halving their Attack Points. He activated Edge Imp Chain’seffect next, adding Frightfur Patchwork to his hand. Next, he activated Branded in Red to return Fallen of Albaz to his hand. He activated Despia, Theater of the Branded next and used its effect to Fusion Summon Despian Quaeritis by sending Fallen of Albaz and Ad Libitum of Despia from his hand to his Graveyard. Manigat activated his Floowandereeze and the Dreaming Town to Summon Eglen. He added Robina to his hand and then Tribute Summoned Floowandereeze & Empen. He then banished the Floowandereeze and the Dreaming Town from his Graveyard to flip Quaeritis face-down and Vincent conceded.

Duel Two

Ethan Vincent started off Duel 2 by Setting two cards to his back row and Setting a monster.

Manigat opened up Duel 2 with Dreaming Town, Eglen, Pot of Duality, Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure, and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He drew another Eglen for his turn and then used Pot of Duality to add Floowandereeze & Stri from the top 3 cards of his Deck to his hand. He activated Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure next, banishing an Eglen from his hand and getting a Map from his Deck. He gained 500 Life Points, too. He used Map to Summon Eglen and then used the effects of his Eglen and his banished Robina. Vincent Chained Infinite Impermanence to negate the effect of Eglen. Manigat Summoned Robina next, and Vincent flipped Forbidden Droplet. He sent an Edge Imp Chain to the Graveyard to negate the effect of Robina and halve its ATK. He used the effect of his Chain to add Frightfur Patchwork to his hand. Next, Manigat Set Dreaming Town and ended his turn.

Vincent activated Frightfur Patchwork and Manigat used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate it. Next, Manigat flipped Dreaming Town and Summoned Eglen from his hand. He used its effect to add Apex Avian to his hand and then Tribute Summoned it and added Robina to his hand. Vincent conceded instantly, revealing his hand of Polymerization, Branded in Red, and Despian Tragedy.

Pascal Manigat takes a quick 2-0 win and advances to the Top 16 with his Floowandereeze Deck!
