QQ: Which Tech Cards Are Your Favorites?

September 10th, 2022

QQ stands for Quick Questions! With the Runick cards from Tactical Masters and the Tearlaments and Spright cards from Power of the Elements having a big impact on the tournament this weekend, Duelists are coming up with creative tech cards to use in their Decks that will help them win. I surveyed this weekend’s competitors to see which tech cards they’re counting on to bring them to victory against the top Decks. Check out their responses!

Mitchell Martin

D.D. Crow. It hits all three Decks. It’s not as good against Runick, but it’s huge against the Spright matchup. I’d say it’s the MVP of my Deck so far this tournament, and it works on both players’ turns. I’ve got a crow!” -Mitchell Martin

Kenny Nguyen

“I’m really liking Nibiru, the Primal Being and Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion. Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion negates Runick Fountain and Tearlaments can’t effectively play against Nibiru.” -Kenny Nguyen

Calvin Chow

“Three Ash Blossom & Veiler Spring, three Effect Veiler, and three Infinite Impermanence, all of which help me resolve Nibiru, the Primal Being.” -Calvin Chow

Michael Hilario

“Three Mystic Mine, three Super Polymerziation, and three copies of Dark Ruler No More. I choose to go second and hope to break whatever field my opponent makes.” -Michael Hilario

Johnny Nguyen

“Three Girsu, the Orcust Mekk-Knight, three Mekk-Knight Blue Sky, and three Mekk-Knight Purple Nightfall with three copies of Mystic Mine. -Johnny Nguyen

James Sledd

“Three Rivalry of the Warlord, three Gozen Match, and three Mystic Mine in my Runick Deck.” -James Sledd

All Duelists will need to use some tech cards to succeed this weekend at YCS Niagara Falls. Follow tomorrow’s coverage to see which tech cards are most successful this weekend!
