Albert Aguilar from Norwalk, Connecticut is Dueling against Noah Beygelman from Merrimack, New Hampshire in this Round 4 Feature Match. Both of these Duelists are currently 2-1, and Albert Aguilar achieved this record with a rather unconventional strategy: War Rocks. Aguilar relies on lots of defensive cards like Mystic Mine and Rivalry of Warlords to restrict what his opponents are able to do, before sending in the War Rocks to finish them off. Beygelman is using a Deck that is much more popular this weekend: Tearlaments with Spright and Noh-P.U.N.K. monsters included. We’ve seen this type of Deck build some incredible fields on the first turn of the Duel in our earlier Feature Matches, which could spell trouble for Aguilar and his War Rocks. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Beygelman Normal Summoned Noh-P.U.N.K. Ze Amin and activated its effect by paying 600 Life Points to add Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tuner to his hand.

He activated Terraforming to add Primeval Planet Perlereino to his hand. He used it to add Tearlaments Merrli to his hand and then activated the effect of Foxy Tune. He sent Tearlaments Reinoheart to his Graveyard, Special Summoned Noh-P.U.N.K. Deer Note, and then Special Summoned Reinoheart by sending Merrli to the Graveyard. He used Reinoheart’s effect to send Tearlaments Havnis to his Graveyard. He used Havnis’s effect to fuse Havnis and Merrli from his Graveyard and Summon Tearlaments Kitkallos. He added Tearlaments Sulliek to his hand with Kitkallos’s effect and then Tuned Deer Note and Ze Amin to Synchro Summon Chaos Ruler, the Chaotic Magical Dragon. He Special Summoned Ze Amin back to the field and added Merrli to his hand with the effect of Chaos Ruler, sending Plaguespreader Zombie, Tearlaments Scheiren, and two other cards to the Graveyard. He used Scheiren’s effect to fuse it with Plaguespreader Zombie and Summon Mudragon of the Swamp. He then sent Chaos Ruler and Ze Amin to the Graveyard to Link Summoned Crystron Halqifibrax and used its effect to Special Summon Plaguespreader Zombie from his Deck. He then used Kitkallos’s effect to Special Summon Merrli and send Kitkallos to the Graveyard. He sent 3 cards to his Graveyard with Merrli and then 5 more with Kallos’s effect. He then activated the effect of the Chaos Ruler in his Graveyard to Special Summon it by banishing Nibiru, the Primal Being and D.D. Crow from his Graveyard. He Tuned Plaguespreader Zombie and Chaos Ruler to Summon Baronne de Fleur and then combined Reinoheart and Mudragon to Xyz Summon Time Thief Redoer. He combined Merrli and Halqifibrax to Summon Gigantic Spright next. He used Gigantic Spright’s effect to Special Summon Spright Jet and used Jet’s effect to add Spright Smashers to his hand. He then Link Summoned Spright Elf and used its effect to Special Summon Tearlaments Merrli. He Set 4 cards to his back row before ending his turn.

Aguilar drew a card and then had War Rock Bashileos, Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju, Reinforcement of the Army, Terraforming, Rivalry of Warlords, and Super Polymerization in his hand. In his Standby Phase, Time Thief Redoer took a Set Rotation from the top of Aguilar’s Deck with its effect and attached it as an Xyz Material. Aguilar Tributed Baronne de Fleur to give Beygelman a Gameciel in its place and then activated Terraforming to add Mystic Mine to his hand. He activated Reinforcement of the Army next, adding War Rock Wento to his hand. He Normal Summoned Wento and then entered his Battle Phase. He attacked Spright Elf with Wento and Beygelman used his Redoer’s effect. He detached his Spell and monster to draw a card and banish Redoer, and then used the effect of Reinoheart to Special Summon it back from the Graveyard and send Merrli to his Graveyard. He used the effects of Merrli and Reinoheart, sending Tearlaments Havnis to his Graveyard with Reinoheart and Fusion Summoning Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart with Merrli. He targeted Wento and shuffled it back into the Deck with Kaleido-Heart’s effect. In Main Phase 2, Aguilar activated Mystic Mine and Set Rivalry of Warlords and Super Polymerization face-down. In the End Phase, Beygelman banished Mystic Mine with his Spright Smashers.

Beygelman drew a card and Aguilar flipped Rivalry of Warlords. Beygelman kept Kaleido-Heart on his field and sent his other monsters to the Graveyard. He attacked directly with Kaleido-Heart and then ended his turn.

Aguilar drew Pot of Prosperity and activated it by banishing 6 cards from his Extra Deck. He revealed the top 6 cards of his Deck and added a Gameciel to his hand with its effect. He passed his turn with no further play.

Beygelman attacked directly with Kaleido-Heart to drop Aguilar down to 1000 Life Points.

Aguilar drew another Super Polymerization on his next turn and conceded. Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart can’t be used as a Fusion Material, so Aguilar had no opportunity to ever activate Super Polymerization.

Duel Two

Aguilar opened up Duel 2 with War Rock Gactos, War Rock Wento, Pot of Prosperity, and two copies of Dark Bribe.

He activated the Pot of Prosperity by banishing 6 cards from his Extra Deck and revealed the top 6 cards of his Deck. He added Mystic Mine to his hand and returned the other 5 cards to the bottom of his Deck. He Normal Summoned Wento and then Special Summoned Gactos. He Xyz Summoned Abyss Dweller in Defense Position and then Set his two Dark Bribes before passing.

Beygelman drew a card and then Aguilar activated the effect of his Abyss Dweller. Beygelman activated Primeval Planet Perlereino and Aguilar flipped Dark Bribe to negate its activation and allow Beygelman to draw a card. Next, Beygelman Summoned Ze Amin and used its effect to add Noh-P.U.N.K. Ogre Dance to his hand. He activated Ogre Dance’s effect to add Deer Note to his hand and then activated Deer Note’s effect by revealing Noh-P.U.N.K. Foxy Tune. He special Summoned Deer Note and then Link Summoned Crystron Halqifibrax. He used its effect to Special Summon Plaguespreader Zombie from his Deck and then used Halqifibrax and Plaguespreader to Xyz Summon Gigantic Spright. He attacked Abyss Dweller to destroy it and then Xyz Summoned Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder over his Gigantic Spright.

Aguilar drew a card and then tried to activate Mystic Mine, but Beygelman Chained Zeus’s effect to send it to the Graveyard along with the face-down Dark Bribe. Aguilar Set Demise of the Land and then passed.

Beygelman activated Cosmic Cyclone to banish Demise of the Land and then activated Perlereino. He added Reinoheart to his hand with Perlereino and after a couple more plays, he amassed a field full of monsters!

Aguilar had no cards on his field and no cards in his hand. Direct attacks from Beygelman’s field of monsters wiped out all of his Life Points!
