Round 2 Feature Match: Garret Schier vs. Timothy Le
Garret Schier from Pasadena, California is Dueling against Timothy Le from Champlin, Minnesota in this Round 2 Feature Match! Both Duelists are using unconventional strategies this weekend, with Schier piloting a Kashtira Naturia Deck and Le using Exosisters. It’s working out for them so far, since they’re currently both in Round 2 with a 1-0 record. Now they’re facing off against one another in a Match that will determine which Duelist can advance to Round 3 undefeated. It’s time to Duel!
Duel One
Schier opened up Duel 1 by Special Summoning Kashtira Unicorn and used its effect to add Kashtira Birth to his hand. Le used the effect of the Droll & Lock Bird in his hand, and Schier then used the effect of his Unicorn to banish an Exosister Mikailis face-down from Le’s Extra Deck. Next, Schier Normal Summoned Naturia Mole Cricket and Tributed it to Special Summon Naturia Camellia from his Deck. He used its effect to send Naturia Sunflower from his Deck to his Graveyard and then Set a card to his back row before passing.
Le activated Necrovalley and then Set 2 cards to his back row.
Schier activated the effect of Keldo the Sacred Protector by discarding Mudora the Sword Oracle and added Kelbek the Ancient Vanguard to his hand. He entered his Battle Phase and then used Unicorn’s effect when it attacked to banish the remaining Mikailis from Le’s Extra Deck. Direct attacks from Unicorn, Camellia, and Keldo dropped Le down to 2900 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Schier flipped Naturia Sacred Tree to Tribute Camellia and Special Summon Naturia Mole Cricket from his Deck. He then Tributed the Mole Cricket to Special Summon Camellia from his Deck and used its effect to send Sacred Tree to his Graveyard. He used the Sacred Tree’s effect in his Graveyard to add Naturia Blessing to his hand. He Set a card to his back row and then passed his turn.
Le drew a card and then conceded, unable to make any effective plays.

Duel Two
Timothy Le started off Duel 2 by using the effect of the Dimension Shifter in his hand. Next, he Special Summoned Exosister Martha from his hand along with an Exosister Elis from his Deck. Then he Special Summoned another Elis from his hand. He combined both copies of Elis to Xyz Summon Exosister Kaspitell and used Kaspitell’s effect to add Exosister Sophia to his hand. He Normal Summoned it and then Xyz Summoned Mikailis. He used Mikailis’s effect to add Exosister Vadis to his hand. He used Pot of Prosperity next, banishing 6 cards from his Extra Deck face-down to activate it. He excavated the top 6 cards of his Deck and added Solemn Judgment to his hand before returning the other 5 excavated cards to his Deck. Next, he combined his 2 Xyz Monsters to Xyz Summon Exosisters Magnifica and Set 2 cards to his back row.
Schier Special Summoned Kashtira Fenrir and Le used his Magnifica’s effect to banish it. Next, Schier activated Triple Tactics Talents to try to take control of Magnifica, and Le activated Solemn Judgment and gave up half of his Life Points to negate its activation!
Schier immediately conceded, seeing no way to win the Duel from there.
Duel Three
Schier started off Duel 3 by Special Summoning Kashtira Unicorn and using its effect to add Kashtira Birth to his hand. Le used the effect of Droll & Lock Bird, and then Schier used Unicorn’s effect to banish a Mikailis from Le’s Extra Deck. Next, Schier Normal Summoned a Naturia Mole Cricket and activated its effect by Tributing it, but lost out on its effect to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Schier passed his turn with just the Unicorn on the field.
Le activated Necrovalley and Set a card to his back row.
Schier activated Kashtira Birth and then Normal Summoned Naturia Camellia and used its effect to send Sacred Tree to his Graveyard. He used the Sacred Tree’s effect to add Naturia Blessing to his hand. He then tried to Special Summon Keldo the Sacred Protector from his hand by discarding Mudora the Sword Oracle and Le used the effect of another Ash Blossom to leave the Keldo in Schier’s hand. Next, Unicorn attacked directly, banishing the second Mikailis from Le’s Extra Deck with its effect. Camellia attacked directly next.
Le drew a card and conceded, unable to make much of his weak draw.
