There’s a trophy and a set of YCS prize cards up for grabs, so the stakes have never been higher for these young Duelists. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Ethan started off Duel 1 by activating Swordsoul Emergence and using its effect to add Swordsoul of Mo Ye to his hand.

Ethan W.

He Normal Summoned it and activated its effect, but Shane activated the effect of PSY-Framegear Gamma in his hand! He negated the activation of the effect, destroyed Mo Ye, and Summoned Gamma along with a PSY-Frame Driver. Next, Ethan Special Summoned Swordsoul Strategist Longyuan from his hand by discarding Tenyi Spirit – Ashuna and Special Summoned a Swordsoul Token with its effect. He Synchro Summoned Baronne de Fleur, inflicted 1200 points of damage to Shane’s Life Points, and Set a card to his back row.

Shane drew Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit and added it to his hand of Mathmech Subtraction, Mathmech Circular, Mathmech Diameter, and Gamma. He Special Summoned Circular from his hand by sending Sigma from his Deck to his Graveyard and then Normal Summoned Diameter. He used Diameter’s effect to Special Summon Sigma from his Graveyard and Chained Circular’s effect to try to add a card from his Deck to his hand. Ethan Chained Infinite Impermanence to negate Circular’s effect and then Diameter’s effect resolved to Special Summon Sigma. Shane combined 2 monsters including Diameter to Xyz Summon Primathmech Alembertian and activated its effect by detaching both Xyz Materials. Ethan used the effect of Baronne de Fleur to try to negate it, but Shane activated the effect that Alembertian gained by using Diameter as an Xyz Material to negate Baronne de Fleur’s effect! Next, Shane Summoned Subtraction from his hand by reducing Baronne’s ATK by 1000 and Ethan conceded.

Shane is just one win away from taking home the trophy and Super Rare YCS Prize Cards!

Duel Two

Ethan started off Duel 2 by Setting a card to his back row and then ended his turn.

Shane opened up Duel 2 with Small World, Parallel eXceed, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, and two Firewall Defensers.

Shane G.

He drew Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring for his turn and then Normal Summoned Firewall Defenser. He sent it to the Graveyard to Link Summon Linguriboh and then activated the effects of Firewall Defenser and Parallel eXceed in Chain. Ethan used Gamma to stop and destroy the Parallel eXceed while Summoning Gamma and Driver, and Shane Special Summoned Firewall Guardian from his Deck with the Defenser’s effect. Next, he activated Small World. He revealed Defenser from his hand, chose Parallel eXceed from his Deck, and added Mathmech Circular to his hand. He banished Defenser and Parallel eXceed face-down to resolve the effect of Small World. Ethan activated the effect of Droll & Lock Bird. Next, Shane Special Summoned Circular from his hand by sending Mathmech Sigma from his deck to his Graveyard. He used Linguriboh and Firewall Guardian to Link Summon Splash Mage and then used his Guardian’s effect to Special Summon it back from his Graveyard. Next, he used Splash Mage’s effect to try to Special Summon Sigma from his Graveyard; but Ethan Chained the effect of Bystial Druiswurm! He banished the Sigma to Special Summon Druiswurm to the field in Defense Position. Next, he Link Summoned Transcode Talker and activated its effect to try to Summon Splash Mage from his Graveyard; but Ethan flipped Infinite Impermanence to negate Transcode Talker’s effect. Shane entered his Battle Phase and then attacked Druiswurm to destroy it. Druiswurm’s effect activated to send Transcode Talker to the Graveyard. In the End Phase, Ethan banished the Driver and Gamma from his field.

Ethan Normal Summoned Mo Ye and activated its effect by revealing Swordsoul of Taia. Shane activated the effect of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy the Mo Ye and Ethan Special Summoned a Swordsoul Token in Defense Position when Mo Ye’s effect resolved.

Shane drew Dinowrestler Pankratops and then Normal Summoned Ash Blossom. He sent it to the Graveyard to Link Summon Salamangreat Almiraj and then combined his 2 monsters to Link Summon G Golem Crystal Heart. He activated its effect to Special Summon Transcode Talker from his Graveyard. Next, he used Transcode Talker’s effect to Special Summon Splash Mage linked to Transcode Talker. He used Splash Mage’s effect to Special Summon Mathmech Circular from his Graveyard and then sent Circular, Crystal Heart, and Splash Mage to the Graveyard to Link Summon Firewall Dragon Darkfluid – Neo Tempest Terahertz! He activated its effect and sent Mathmech Nabla from his Deck to his Graveyard and increased his Darkfluid’s ATK by 2500. Moments later, Ethan was wiped out of the Duel by Shane’s field of monsters!
