Elijah Green from Lexington, Kentucky and Ryan Yu from Toronto, Canada are two well-known Duelists in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community. Now, they’re facing off against one another in a Feature Match here at YCS Remote Duel! Green is using a Labrynth Deck, but admits he is relatively inexperienced with this particular Deck. Yu, on the other hand, has had a lot of practice using Labrynth Decks, but chose to compete this weekend with his Floowandereeze Deck. Will Yu’s expertise about his opponent’s strategies give him the edge in this Feature Match? We’re about to find out! It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Green started off Duel 1 by activating the effect of Labrynth Stovie Torbie to discard a card and Set Welcome Labrynth from his Deck. He Set 2 more cards to his back row before ending his turn.

Yu drew a card and then Green activated Welcome Labrynth to Special Summon Arianna the Labrynth Servant from his Deck. He used its effect to add Lady Labrynth of the Silver Castle from his Deck to his hand and used its effect to Special Summon it to his field. Yu activated Floowandereeze and the Magnificent Map next and used its effect. He revealed Floowandereeze & Stri from his hand, banished Floowandereeze & Robina from his Deck, and then Summon Stri. He used the effects of Stri and Robina. He returned Robina to his hand, banished Welcome Labrynth, Summoned Robina, and then used Robina’s effect to add Floowandereeze & Eglen to his hand. He Normal Summoned it and tried to activate its effect, but Green flipped Infinite Impermanence to negate the effect of Eglen. Green used the effect of Lady Labrynth to Set Big Welcome Labrynth from his Deck and then Yu Tributed Eglen and Stri to Summon Floowandereeze & Empen. He returned his banished Eglen to his hand with its effect and added Floowandereeze and the Unexplored Winds to his hand with the effect of Empen before Summoning Floowandereeze & Toccan. He added a banished Stri to his hand with Toccan’s effect and then Tributed Stri and Robina to Summon another Empen. He used its effect to add Floowandereeze and the Dreaming Town and then chose not to Normal Summon again. He used the effect of Unexplored Winds to return Stri and Toccan from his hand to his Deck and draw 2 cards. Next, he used Pot of Duality to reveal Terraforming, Pot of Prosperity, and another Unexplored Winds from the top of his Deck. He added the Unexplored Winds to his hand and then attacked Arianna with Empen to destroy it. Next, his second Empen attacked Lady Labrynth, and Yu used his Empen’s effect during damage calculation to halve Lady Labrynth’s stats and destroy it in battle! Yu Set 2 cards to his back row and then tried to end his turn; but before he could leave Main Phase 2, Green activated the effect of Nibiru, the Primal Being from his hand! He Special Summoned it to his field and replaced all of Yu’s monsters with a Primal Being Token!

Green drew a card and then activated Terrors of the Overroot during his Draw Phase, sending Dark Ruler No More face-down from Yu’s field to the Graveyard and Setting Empen from his Graveyard to his field instead. Then, Green flipped Big Welcome Labrynth to Special Summon Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle and return Nibiru to his hand. He used the effects of Stovie Torbie and Lovely Labrynth, Special Summoning Stovie Torbie and destroying Yu’s other face-down card with Lovely Labrynth’s effect. In his Main Phase, Green used his Lovely Labrynth’s effect to Set Overroot from his Graveyard back to his field and then attacked and destroyed the Primal Being Token with Lovely Labrynth. Still in his Battle Phase, Green used the effect of his Stovie Torbie by discarding a Labrynth Chandraglier from his hand and Set Big Welcome Labrynth from his Deck.

Yu drew a card and Green flipped Big Welcome Labrynth. He Special Summoned Labrynth Cooclock from his Deck and returned it to his hand. He used the effects of Chandraglier, Stovie Torbie, and Lovely Labrynth, destroying Unexplored Winds with the effect of Lovely Labrynth and returning Chandraglier and Stovie Torbie to his hand. Green Set Welcome Labrynth from his Deck by using the effect of Stovie and amassed a field of cards after a flurry of quick plays!

Yu activated Floowandereeze and the Unexplored Winds and Green flipped a face-down Overroot to get rid of it and Set Dark Ruler No More to his field instead. Yu activated Pot of Prosperity next, banishing 6 cards from his Extra Deck and adding another Unexplored Winds to his hand. He activated it and then used the effect of his Map by revealing Eglen. He banished a monster from his Deck, Normal Summoned Eglen, and then used the effects of two of his banished Floowandereeze monsters and his Eglen. He returned the two banished Floowandereeze monsters to his hand and added Raiza the Mega Monarch from his Deck to his hand. He sent Eglen and Lady Labrynth to the Graveyard (with some help from the effect of Floowandereeze and the Unexplored Winds) to Summon Raiza and activated Raiza’s effect! He chained the effect of Dreaming Town by banishing it from the Graveyard. He returned Lovely Labrynth from the field and Welcome Labrynth from the Graveyard to the top of Green’s Deck. After a flurry of Summons and effects, Yu had filled his field with rapidly Summoned Floowandereeze monsters! One Empen attacked and destroyed Arianna, and then Raiza and Toccan attacked Green directly! Yu Set a card in Main Phase 2 and Green used the effect of Nibiru once more! He Special Summoned Nibiru to his field, and Yu Special Summoned a Token with 6000 ATK and 3300 DEF!

Green drew a card and passed his turn, unable to take down Yu’s Primal Being Token!

Yu drew a card, Flip Summoned his Empen that survived the effect of Nibiru because it was face-down from on the previous turn, and Green immediately conceded the Duel!

Yu shows off the resiliency of his Floowandereeze Deck by winning the first Duel despite being hit by Nibiru’s effect twice! Green chose to go first in the second Duel!

Duel Two

Green Normal Summoned Arianna and activated its effect to add Labrynth Cooclock to his hand. He Set 2 cards face-down and then activated the effect of Lady Labrynth to Special Summon it. He activated Cooclock’s effect next, allowing him to activate Welcome Labrynth. He Chained Lady Labrynth’s effect to Set Eradicator Epidemic Virus from his Deck and Special Summoned Stovie Torbie from his Deck with Welcome Labrynth’s effect. He used Stovie Torbie’s effect by discarding Nibiru from his hand and Set Big Welcome Labrynth from his Deck. He returned Cooclock from his Graveyard to his hand and then passed his turn.

Green flipped Big Welcome Labrynth, Yu Chained Ash Blossom to negate its effect, and Green flipped Eradicator Virus by Tributing his Lady Labrynth to destroy Yu’s Spells! Yu Chained Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure from his hand by banishing Empen and Chained Book of Moon to put Arianna face-down. He added Robina to his hand with Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure, and then revealed his hand of Robina, Empen, and Harpie’s Feather Duster. He sent the Feather Duster to the Graveyard due to the Virus’s effect and then Normal Summoned Robina. He added Toccan to his hand with its effect and then Normal Summoned Eglen. He activated its effect, and Green flipped Dogmatika Punishment. He sent Elder Entity N’tss to the Graveyard and destroyed Eglen with the effect of his Punishment. A bunch of Green’s effects activated, including the effect of N’tss that destroyed a card on Yu’s field, Yu promptly conceded with his field dismantled and no follow-up plays to make!

The Match is going to a third and final Duel!

Duel Three

Yu started off Duel 3 by activating Pot of Duality and using its effect to add Eglen to his hand. He Normal Summoned Eglen and activated its effect. He added Dark Simorgh to his hand and then Normal Summoned Floowandereeze & Stri. He used its effect targeting Pot of Duality and Green activated the effect of the Stovie Torbie in his hand by discarding a Chandraglier. He Set a Big Welcome Labrynth with Stovie Torbie’s effect and Yu Tribute Summoned Empen. He used Empen’s effect and Chained Eglen’s effect. He returned Eglen to his hand and then added Floowandereeze and the Dreaming Town to his hand with the effect of Empen. He Tributed Empen to Summon Raiza the Mega Monarch next, and used the effects of Raiza and Stri. He returned Big Welcome Labrynth from the field and Stovie Torbie from the Graveyard both to Green’s Deck, and returned Raiza to his own hand.

Green drew a card, moved into his Battle Phase, and then entered Main Phase 2. He Special Summoned Kashtira Fenrir in Defense Position and Yu activated his face-down Dreaming Town. He Summoned Eglen, used its effect to add Empen to his hand, and then Normal Summoned Stri. He used Stri’s effect to banish his own Empen from the Graveyard and then Tribute Summoned an Empen. Yu activiated the effects of Empen, his banished Eglen, and the Dreaming Town in his Graveyard. He Chained Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure next by banishing Raiza the Mega Monarch from his hand. He gained 500 Life Points, added Robina to his hand, put Fenrir face-down, returned Eglen to his hand from his banished zone, and then added Floowandereeze and the Unexplored Winds to his hand with the effect of Empen. He Normal Summoned Robina next, and activated the effects of Robina and Stri. He returned Stri to his hand and added Toccan from his Deck to his hand. Green Set 3 cards to his back row before ending his turn.

Yu activated Unexplored Winds and Green flipped Big Welcome Labrynth to Special Summon Lovely Labrynth and return his face-down Fenrir to his hand. He activated the effects of Lovely Labrynth and Chandraglier, destroying the Unexplored Winds with Lovely Labrynth’s effect. Next, Yu Normal Summoned Eglen and used its effect to add Empen to his hand. He Tributed Robina and Eglen to Summon the Empen and used the effects of Empen and his banished Eglen. He returned Eglen to his hand and used Empen’s effect to add Floowandereeze and the Advent of Adventure to his hand. He Normal Summoned Stri next, and used its effect to banish his Unexplored Winds. He Normal Summoned Toccan next, and used its effect to return his banished Unexplored Winds to his hand. He activated Unexplored Winds, and activated its effect to return an Eglen from his hand to his Deck and draw a card. Finally, he activated Floowandereeze and the Magnificent Map, prompting Green to concede!
