Noah Ochs from California and Steven Santoli from Ontario, Canada are both currently 6-2 in the North America Remote Duel YCS, and now they’re facing off in this final Swiss Round Feature Match! Only the Top 32 Duelists are invited back to compete in tomorrow’s single-elimination rounds, and there’s a good chance that competitors will need at least a 7-2 record to make it there. That means one of these Duelists will likely make that Top Cut, while the other will effectively be eliminated after this final Swiss Round. Ochs is using a Branded Despia Deck, while Santoli is piloting Exosisters. The pressure is on! It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Ochs started off Duel 1 and Santoli used the effect of Dimension Shifter in his Draw Phase. Ochs hesistated, thought for a moment, and then ended his turn with a completely clear field.

Santoli activated the effect of Exosister Martha to Special Summon it from his hand along with an Exosister Elis from his Deck. He Xyz Summoned Exosister Kaspitell and used its effect to add Exosister Sophia from his Deck to his hand. He Normal Summoned Exosister Stella and used its effect to Special Summon Exosisier Sophia from his hand. He used Sophia’s effect to draw a card and then Xyz Summoned Exosister Mikailis. Next, he activated its effect by detaching an Xyz Material and added Exosister Pax to his hand. He activated it is effect by paying 800 Life Points and added another Martha from his Deck to his hand. He combined his 2 Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon Exosisters Magnifica next and then attacked directly with Magnifica twice, dropping Ochs down to 2400 Life Points. He Set 4 cards to his back row before ending his turn.

Ochs drew a card and conceded without revealing his strategy.

Steven Santoli takes a quick victory in Duel 1 with his Exosister Deck!

Duel Two

Ochs started off Duel 2 by Normal Summoning Guiding Quem, the Virtuous. He used its effect to send Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous from his Deck to his Graveyard. He Set a card to his back row and then passed his turn.

Santoli activated the effect of Martha in his hand to Special Summon it along with an Elis from his Deck. He entered his Battle Phase and then attacked Quem with Martha to destroy it in battle. Next, Elis attacked directly, dropping Ochs down to 7400 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Santoli combined his monsters to Xyz Summoned Mikailis and then detached an Xyz Material from Mikailis to add Exosister Returnia from his Deck to his hand. He used Mikailis’s effect to banish Ochs’s face-down Cosmic Cyclone, activated Necrovalley, and then Set 2 cards to his back row.

Ochs drew a card and then activated Branded Opening. He sent Dark Magician from his hand to his Graveyard to Special Summon Aluber the Jester of Despia and activated its effect, but lost out to Santoli’s Infinite Impermanence. Next, he Normal Summoned Fallen of Albaz and activated its effect; but Santoli flipped Exosisiter Returnia to banish the Fallen of Albaz! Ochs promptly conceded, disappointed with the cards he drew in the Match.

Steven Santoli takes a quick 2-0 win with his Exosister Deck to complete the Swiss Rounds with a 7-2 record!
