It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Fiallos Velasco started the final match of the tournament by Summoning Kashtira Fenrir, and activating Kashtiratheosis and was met by Varela’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Fiallos Velasco activated the effect of Fenrir to add a Kashtira monster but was stopped by Infinite Impermanence! He Set 2 back row and passed turn.

Varela, ready to Duel.

Varela had a hand of Pressured Planet Wraitsoth, Dimension Shifter, and 2 copies of Kashtiratheosis. He activated Pressured Planet Wraitsoth and was stopped by Fiallos Velasco’s Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring; he passed after that.

Fiallos Velasco activated Kashtira Fenrir to add Kashtira Riseheart to his hand, then Summoned it and banished Kashtira Birth for its effect, increasing it to Level 7. He used his monsters to Xyz Summon Dark Armed, the Dragon of Anihilation, and destroyed Varela’s Planet, then activated the banished Kashtiratheosis to add Kashtira Birth back to hand. He Summoned Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder over his Dark Armed and passed turn.

Varela drew another Dimension Shifter and passed turn.

Velasco taking a commanding lead.

Fiallos Velasco activated Kashtira Birth, Summoned his Kashtira Fenrir back and Varela conceded!

Duel 2

Varela opened with Kashtira Birth, Kashtira Fenrir, Kashtiratheosis, Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon, and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He Special Summoned Fenrir, and added Kashtira Riseheart to hand with Fenrir’s effect. He Normal Summoned Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, then Synchro Summoned Baronne de Fleur before activating Kashtira Birth to Summon Kashtira Fenrir, then he activated Kashtiratheosis to Summon Kashtira Unicorn, which he used to add another Kashtira Birth. He Summoned Kashtira Riseheart, and banished Kashtira Fenrir to banish 3 from Fiallos Velasco’s Deck, then Summoned Kashtira Arise-Heart. He Set 1 and passed play.

Fiallos Velasco activated Terraforming to add Pressured Planet Wraitsoth, and activated Book of Moon targeting Varela’s Kashtira Fenrir. He followed up with Triple Tactics Talent declaring to take a monster and Arise-Heart was chained to banish the Triple Tactics Talent face down. Fiallos Velasco took Baronne de Fleur, and Flip Summoned it before targeting the Set card with its effect. That forced Varela to activate his Destructive Daruma Karma Cannon, and Fiallos Velasco chained Baronne de Fleur to negate it. He took a moment before deciding to activate Pressured Planet Wraitsoth, adding Kashtira Riseheart to hand. He Normal Summoned his Riseheart, and banished Kasthira Fenrir from his Deck, to banish 3 from Varela’s Deck as well. Arise-Heart activated, attaching the Fenrir, adding to the pile of materials he had acquired at this point. Fiallos Velasco activated Kashtiratheosis and Summoned his own Kashtira Fenrir. After Arise-Heart resolved, Fiallos Velasco banished Varela’s Kashtira Birth with Kashtira Fenrir, and he also added Kashtira Unicorn with Fenrir’s effect. He used his 2 Kashtira monsters to make Number 11: Big Eye and take control of Varela’s Arise-Heart, with a whopping 8 materials! He attacked for 6400 total before activating Pot of Prosperity, banishing 6 cards, and adding Forbidden Lance to his hand. Arise-Heart attached Garura, Wings of Resonant Life as a material with its effect, then Fiallos Velasco Summoned Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder! He considered before detaching 2 materials and clearing the field, before Setting 1 back row and passing.

Varela drew Pot of Prosperity, ultimately adding Dinowrestler Pankratops after banishing 6 and considering his options. He quickly Summoned it, then immediately Tributed it to destroy the Divine Arsenal. Velasco drew an additional card thanks to Garura, Wings of Resonant Life, but Varela activated Kashtira Birth to Summon Kashtira Fenir, which added Scareclaw Kashtira to his hand. Scareclaw Kashtira was Summoned by banishing Kashtiratheosis, which added Kashtira Unicorn back to his hand. He Summoned Unicorn, adding another Kashtiratheosis to hand and activating it to Summon another Kashtira Riseheart who banished his Kashtira Fenrir, and 3 cards from Fiallos Velasco’s Deck. He attacked with Unicorn, Fenrir, and Scareclaw Kashtira, leaving Fiallos Velasco at 4250, ending his turn.

Velasco

Fiallos Velasco was up, and Summoned his own Kashtira Unicorn, activating it to add Kashtira Birth to hand. Doing so triggered Varela’s Kashtira monsters, banishing Velascos Unicorn with Varela’s Kashtira Fenrir and an Extra Deck card face down thanks to his Unicorn. Fiallos Velasco followed up with Pressure Planet Wraitsoth, adding Kashtira Fenrir to hand, which triggered Varela’s Kashtira Birth, and he banished 2 Kashtiratheosis and Kashtira Fenrir from the Graveyard face down. Fiallos Velasco Summoned Kashtira Fenrir and added Kashtira Riseheart to hand, then activated Kashtira Birth and Summoned his second Kashtira Fenrir to the field. He Normal Summoned Kashtira Riseheart, banishing Kashtira Birth from his Deck and 3 from Varela’s as well. He followed that by Summoning Scareclaw Kashtira and attacking with Scareclaw Kashtira over Varela’s Scareclaw Kashtira. He considered carefully, attacking with Kashtira Fenrir over Riseheart and banishing Varela’s Kashtira Birth face down, before attacking over Varela’s monsters thanks to his Forbidden Lance, and that was the match!

The clean sweep.

Congratulations to Enzo Fiallos Velasco on his Third Place finish at the North America World Championship Qualifier!
