3rd Place Playoff: Christopher LeBlanc vs. Pakawat Pamornsut
This is it! The winner of the 3rd Place Playoff will walk away with the coveted prize card, Anotherverse Gluttonia. They’re in good spirits despite both coming off a loss in the Top 4. Pamornsut was eager to add a Super Rare copy of Anotherverse Gluttonia to his collection to go with his Ultra Rare, but LeBlanc wants his first copy! This is the last Match of their tournament run this weekend. They shuffled up, and it was time to Duel, one more time!
LeBlanc started with a hand of Nibiru, the Primal Being, Purrelyeap!?, Infinite Impermanence, Dark Ruler No More, and Purrely Sleepy Memory. In his Draw Phase, LeBlanc activated Purrely Sleepy Memory, discarding Dark Ruler No More and Special Summoning Purrelyly. Purrelyly grabbed him My Friend Purrely. When he activated Purrelyly’s effect targeting Purrely Sleepy Memory, Pamornsut responded with Effect Veiler. LeBlanc continued, activating My Friend Purrely, revealing 2 copies of Purrely and Purrely Delicious Memory. After adding Purrely, he Normal Summoned it and revealed Stay Purrely Street, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and Purrelyly, adding Stray Purrely Street. He used his monsters to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, Set a card and passed.
Pamornsut started his turn by activating Noble Arms Museum, paying 1200 Life Points, and adding “Noble Arms – Durendal”. He Normal Summoned Infernoble Knight Ogier and attacked S:P Little Knight. In Main Phase 2, he Special Summoned Fire Flint Lady, then Link Summoned Isolde, Two Tales of Noble Knights which added Super Quantum Red Layer. Isolde sent 3 Equip Spells to the Graveyard and LeBlanc chained Infinite Impermanence to negate its effect.
Pamornsut activated WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils and added Diabellstar the Dark Witch to his hand. He Special Summoned Diabellstar discarding Red Layer and Set Original Sinful Spoils – Snake Eye. Pamornsut banished 2 warriors to add Divine Sword – Phoenix Blade back to his hand from his Graveyard, then equipped Phoenix Blade to Isolde, then activated “Noble Arms – Durendel”, which he quickly sent to the Graveyard to add Infernoble Knight Renaud from his Deck to his hand. He activated Immortal Phoenix Gearfied, banishing Durendal to Special Summon Immortal Phoenix Gearfried and when Chris activated Nibiru, the Primal Being, Pamornsut negated it with Gearfried’s effect. With that LeBlanc conceded, moving to Game 2.
LeBlanc’s hand was Purrely Sleepy Memory, Purrely Pretty Memory, Pot of Prosperity and 2 copies of Purrely Happy Memory. He led by activating Prosperity, banishing 6 cards, and adding Summon Limit to his hand. He set 1 card, then activated Purrely Happy Memory protecting the Set card, and discarded Purrely Pretty Memory to Special Summon Purrely. Purrely revealed 3 Stray Purrely Street, adding one copy to his hand. He activated Street, then activated Purrely to Special Summon Epurrely Noir. He moved to End Phase, attached a second Purrely Sleepy Memory to Epurely Noir, then activated Purrely Happy Memory and Chained Epurrely Noir to set Purrelyeap!? from his Deck to the field.
In Pamornsut’s Standby Phase, he drew Purrelyly, and Pamornsut activated Droll & Lock Bird. Pamornsut laughed, went to Battle Phase, and conceded, too far behind with no live cards.
Pamornsut started the final Duel of the weekend by Special Summoning Kashtria Fenrir, then Normal Summoned Neo Space Connector, which Special Summoned Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin. When Pamornsut activated Aqua Dolphin, LeBlanc Chained Dimension Shifter. He lost his Purrelyly, and Pamornsut activated Fenrir to add another copy of Fenrir to his hand. He Link Summoned S:P Little Knight and passed.
LeBlanc’s hand was Nibiru, the Primal Being, Purrely Sleepy Memory, Purrely Pretty Memory, and Purrely Happy Memory. In his Draw Phase he activated Purrely Sleepy Memory, discarding Nibiru and Special Summoning Purrelyly. He followed up with Purrelyly and searched Purrely to his hand. Pamornsut banished the Purelyly face down with Kashtira Fenrir’s effect. In his Main Phase, he Normal Summoned Purrely, revealing Droll and Lock Bird, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and Dark Ruler No More, conceding there!
Pakawat Pamornsut finishes in 3rd Place, taking home a Super Rare Anotherverse Gluttonia!
