Nearly 1500 Duelists entered YCS Richmond, but only four competitors remain! Jack Allen is here from Stony Point, North Carolina, and he is off the chain, er- rather, he’s using an Unchained Deck!
He’s facing Pakawat Pamornsut, a New Jersey Duelist flexing the might of Infernobility, with Infernoble Knights! The winner here will move on to the Finals for a shot at the title of YCS Champion!

Allen won the dice roll and played first. He had Unchained Soul of Sharvara, Unchained Twins – Aruha, Triple Tactics Thrust, and a pair of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He Normal Summoned Aruha, then Special Summoned Sharvara by destroying Aruha. Aruha’s effect Special Summoned Unchained Twins – Rakea. He Link Summoned Unchained Soul Lord of Yama. Sharvara’s effect Set Escape of the Unchained, and Yama put a new Aruha in his hand. He Special Summoned Aruha, destroying Escape.
Escape’s effect Special Summoned Unchained Twins – Sarama. He used Sarama to Set Rakea and destroy it, and Rakea’s effect Special Summoned Unchained Soul of Shyama. Shyama destroyed Sarama, which Special Summoned a new Sharvara. He stacked Sharvara and Shyama for D/D/D Wave High King Caesar, then used Yama and Aruha to Link Summon Unchained Soul of Rage. He Set Triple Tactics Thrust.
Pamornsut drew his card… and conceded! He didn’t see a way to play through Caesar and Unchained Soul of Rage with his hand, and decided to save the time.

Pamornsut started the second Duel with WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils, adding Diabellstar the Black Witch to his hand. He Special Summoned Diabellstar, ditching a Crossout Designator, and Diabellstar’s effect Set Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye on the field. He played Noble Arms Museum, paid 1200 Life Points to search out “Infernoble Arms – Durendal”, and equipped it to Diabellstar. He used Durendal’s effect, destroying it and adding Infernoble Knight Ogier to his hand. He Normal Summoned that, and used its effect to send Immortal Phoenix Gearfried to the Graveyard. He then Special Summoned Infernoble Knight – Renaud next, adding Gearfried to his hand.
Pamornsut Link Summoned Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights, and Allen activated Infinite Impermanence to negate Isolde, but Pamornsut had a second Crossout Designator to negate Infinite Impermanence! Isolde resolved, adding Kashtira Riseheart to Pamornsut’s hand. He used Isolde’s other effect, sending D.D.R. – Different Dimension Reincarnation, Divine Sword – Phoenix Blade, Angelica’s Angelic Ring, and Durendal to the Graveyard! That let him Special Summon Infernoble Knight Turpin from the Deck. He used all his monsters to Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess, with 2400 ATK! Allen was holding Nibiru, the Primal Being, but now it was too late! After the Match, he would explain that he’d seen many Duelists were no longer using Apollousa, and he didn’t think Pamornsut would have it, so that led him to hold onto Nibiru for as long as possible here.
Pamornsut continued by Special Summoning Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. He banished two Warriors to get Phoenix Blade from his Graveyard to his hand, and equipped it to Gearfried. Now that he controlled an equipped monster, he Special Summoned Turpin from the Graveyard. Then he activated Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye, sending Phoenix Blade to Special Summon Infernoble Knight Ricciardetto, which Special Summoned Ogier. He used them both to Synchro Summon Angelica, Princess of Noble Arms, which added another Museum to his hand. He used Ogier’s effect in the Graveyard, targeting Angelica.
Allen tried using Nibiru, and Pamornsut negated it with Apollousa. Ogier then equipped to Angelica. Pamornsut used the Museum to Special Summon Ogier from the Spell & Trap Zone. He activated his second Museum, paying 1200 Life Points to add “Infernoble Arms – Almace” to his hand. He used the effect of WANTED in the Graveyard to draw a new card. He played Almace, targeting Angelica. Angelica’s effect activated, letting him send Infernoble Knight Maugis to the Graveyard, temporarily banish Angelica, and Special Summon Infernoble Knight Captain Roland!
Maugis’s effect returned three of Pamornsut’s cards from the Graveyard to the Deck to let him draw another card. Next, he tuned Captain Roland to Turpin for Infernoble Knight Emperor Charles. He used Captain Roland’s effect to equip it to Charles, which let him Link Summon Emperor Charles the Great! It equipped the original Charles and gained its effects. He used Museum to Special Summon the equipped Infernoble Charles. He equipped Maugis from the Graveyard to Infernoble Charles, and Link Summoned a second Charles the Great, once again gaining the effects of the original Charles. He used Charles’s effect to destroy Ogier, giving him the fuel to get his Phoenix Blade back. He equipped Phoenix Blade Gearfried. In the End Phase, Angelica returned to the field. One copy of Charles the Great, through the effect of Infernoble Charles, equipped Angelica’s Angelic Ring and Infernoble Oliver.
Allen had a hand of Nibiru, the Primal Being, Triple Tactics Talent, Escape of the Unchained, and Unchained Twins – Aruha. He drew Tour Guide From the Underworld. He Normal Summoned Tour Guide, and it was negated with Apollousa. He tried to move to the Battle Phase and attack the now Apollousa, which now had just 800 ATK, but Pamornsut used the Quick Effect of Captain Roland, equipping it from the Graveyard to Charles the Great. That triggered its effect to destroy Tour Guide. Pamornsut had an insane field that could shut down Allen’s entire hand, so Allen conceded!

Allen went first this time, starting with a hand of Nibiru, the Primal Being, Unchained Soul of Sharvara, Abominable Chamber of the Unchained, Infinite Impermanence, and Abomination’s Prison. He Set Chamber, then Special Summoned Sharvara by destroying Chamber. Chamber’s effect Special Summoned Aruha. Allen Link Summoned Yama and Sharvara’s effect Set Escape of the Unchained. Yama got him another Aruha to his hand.
He destroyed Escape to Special Summon Aruha, and Escape Special Summoned Shyama. Allen used Shyama’s effect to destroy Aruha, which then Special Summoned Sharvara. He used Shyama and Yama to Link Summon Unchained Soul of Rage. Shyama destroyed Rage to come back to the field, and Rage then returned Sharvara to his hand. Allen used the on-field Sharvara and Shyama to Xyz Summon D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. He played Prison to search for Unchained Twins – Sarama, then Normal Summoned it, and destroyed it with its effect to return Escape to the field. The Yama in the Graveyard then returned Rage to the field. Allen Set Infinite Impermanence to finish the turn.

Pamornsut Normal Summoned Ogier, which sent Turpin to the Graveyard. He played Reinforcement of the Army next to search for Renaud, Special Summoning it to return Turpin to his hand. Pamornsut Synchro Summoned Angelica, using its effect to search for a card. Allen flipped Infinite Impermanence, but that merely triggered Angelica’s effect! It dodged Impermanence by banishing itself, sending Maugis to the Graveyard, and tagged in Captain Roland!
Angelica’s first effect resolved, searching for Noble Arms Museum. Pamornsut equipped Captain Roland with Maugis from the Graveyard. He then played D.D.R. – Different Dimension Reincarnation, discarding Ricciardetto to bring Angelica back to the field. Allen activated Unchained Soul of Rage, using it and Captain Roland to Link Summon S:P Little Knight! He used Little Knight to banish Ricciardetto from the Graveyard! Pamornsut played Museum, paying 1200 Life Points to search for Durendal. He sent Angelica to attack and destroy Little Knight thanks to the 500 ATK boost from Museum.
In Main Phase 2, Pamornsut tried to Special Summon Turpin from his hand. Allen negated it and destroyed Turpin with Wave High King Caesar, detaching Sharvara, and Pamornsut Chained D.D. Crow to banish Sharvara before it could activate in a new Chain. Pamornsut equipped Ogier to Angelica, then equipped Turpin to Angelica. He used Museum to Special Summon Ogier from the back row. Allen decided to activate Nibiru here, giving Pamornsut a 5500/6200 Primal Being Token in Defense Position. Pamornsut used Durendal, equipped it to the token, and Allen responded with Sharvara from his hand, destroying Escape. Escape Special Summoned Rakea and Durendal was destroyed to add Oliver to Pak’s hand.
Pamornsut activated Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye, sending the Museum to the Graveyard to Special Summon Fire Flint Lady. He equipped Captain Roland to Fire Flint, then Special Summoned Oliver by sending Roland to the Graveyard. He used Oliver and Fire Flint Lady to Link Summon Isolde, Two Tales of the Noble Knights, searching for Immortal Phoenix Gearfried. Then Isolde sent three Equip Spells, including Phoenix Blade, to Special Summon Neo-Spacian Aqua Dolphin. Pamornsut used Dolphin and Isolde to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, targeting Sharvara, and Allen Chained Rakea to destroy Sharvara. Sharvara’s effect put Abominable Chamber of the Unchained on the field. Pamornsut added Phoenix Blade to his hand and equipped it to Little Knight.
Allen drew Tour Guide From the Underworld! He Normal Summoned it to bring Fiendish Rhino Warrior to the field! Then he used both monsters to Link Summon Yama. Rhino sent Sharvara to the Graveyard, and Yama added Aruha to his hand. He sent Sharvara and Set Escape to the field. Allen Special Summoned Aruha by destroying Escape, and Escape brought out Abominable Unchained Soul. He flipped Chamber to Special Summon Sharvara. Then he used Rakea, Yama, Aruha, and Pak’s S:P Little Knight to Link Summon Underworld Goddess of the Closed World!
He brought back Shyama by destroying Sharvara, then used Shyama and Yama to Link Summon Unchained Soul of Anguish! He used Anguish’s effect on the Primal Being Token, letting him Link Summon Unchained Abomination! Pamornsut was wide open now, and Allen had enough ATK on the field to end this Match.

Jack Allen is heading to the Finals with Unchained, now guaranteed at least a Super Rare Prize Card for his efforts.
