Duel 1
Da Silva started with a hand of Diviner of the Herald; Sauravis, the Ancient and Ascended; Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice; Radiance of the Voiceless Voice; and Pot of Prosperity. He led with Pot of Prosperity, banishing six cards from his Extra Deck. He revealed a plethora of Voiceless Voice cards, adding Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice to his hand. Jones activated Droll & Lock Bird. Da Silva used the effect of Saffira to send Prayers of the Voiceless Voice to the Graveyard. He banished Saffira for its effect to Ritual Summon, Tributing Lo to play Sauravis in Defense Position. He Set Radiance.
Jones activated Bonfire, and Da Silva flipped Radiance. He shuffled Prayers back into the Deck to Special Summon Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice. Bonfire resolved, adding Snake-Eye Ash to Jones’s hand. He used Infinite Impermanence to negate the Ritual Sauravis, and Da Silva responded with Sauravis Dragon Sage, bringing Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice into play. Then he Special Summoned Lo from the Graveyard, which put Barrier of the Voiceless Voice on the field. Jones used Triple Tactics Talent to steal a monster, and Da Silva negated it with Skull Guardian. Jones continued by Normal Summoning Ash, which added Snake-Eyes Poplar to his hand. He Special Summoned Poplar, which added Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye to his hand. Then he used Ash’s other effect, sending itself and Poplar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eye Oak. Oak revived Ash, and Poplar put itself in the back row. He then used Oak’s effect, sending itself and Poplar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon from his Deck. Flamberge put Poplar in the back row again. Then he used his monsters to Link Summon Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf. Flamberge revived Oak and Ash, triggering Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf to return Flamberge to his hand. He used Oak to Link Summon Linkuriboh, then that and Ash to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix, co-linked to Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf. Phoenix discarded Flamberge to destroy Barrier of the Voiceless Voice and let Jones draw a card. Then he used Wolf and Phoenix to Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess.
Jones continued by activating Original Sinful Spoils, sending Poplar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Legendary Fire King Ponix. Ponix added Fire King Sanctuary to his hand, which he used to put Fire King Island into play. He Tributed Ponix to revive Linkuriboh. Then he used Island, destroying Fire King Avatar Arvata in his hand to search for Garunix. He Special Summoned Garunix with its own effect, and Arvata revived Ponix. Garunix destroyed Fire King High Avatar Kirin in the Deck. Kirin let him Special Summon Arvata from the Graveyard and destroy Skull Guardian! He used Ponix, Linkuriboh, and Garunix to Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames. Princess revived Ponix. He used Ponix and Princess to play Salamangreat Raging Phoenix, and then that for Worldsea Dragon Zealantis. He used Zealantis to banish everything, then return it all in Attack Position. That triggered his Promethean Princess in the Graveyard, and Da Silva negated it with Sauravis the Ancient from his hand. Jones sent Arvata to destroy Lo in battle, and Zealantis attacked directly. In Main Phase 2 he used Apollousa and Zealantis to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, banishing Radiance of the Voiceless Voice.
Da Silva drew another Pot of Prosperity. He played it, banishing another six cards from the Extra Deck to add Prayers of the Voiceless Voice to his hand. He Special Summoned Sauravis Dragon Sage from his hand, returning two of his Spell Cards from the Graveyard to the Deck. Jones triggered Promethean Princess in the Graveyard, and Da Silva Chained Sauravis Dragon Sage’s effect to put a new Skull Guardian into play. Princess destroyed Arvata and returned to play. Arvata revived Ponix with its effect negated, and Garunix and Lo both returned from their respective Graveyards, with each monster activating their effects. Da Silva tried to negate Garunix with Skull Guardian, but Jones had Effect Veiler! Garunix destroyed Kirin, and Lo put a new Barrier into play. Jones’s destroyed Kirin activated, reviving Arvata and destroying Skull Guardian. Da Silva Normal Summoned Diviner of the Herald. He tried using its effect, and Jones used Arvata to negate it, destroying Ponix. Da Silva used Lo to Link Summon Relinquished Anima, then that and Diviner to play S:P Little Knight. He had his Little Knight target Fire King Island! Jones responded with his own Little Knight’s effect, trying to save his Princess and Arvata from impending doom. Da Silva Chained his own Little Knight to banish Arvata and itself. That caused Jones’s Little Knight to fail, and finally, Island was banished. Island then destroyed all of Jones’s remaining monsters! In the End Phase, Da Silva’s Little Knight and Jones’s Arvata returned to play.
Jones banished Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye to put Poplar back in his Deck, searching for Snake-Eye Ash. He Normal Summoned it to search for Poplar, and Da Silva knew it was all over from here. He conceded, hoping to save time and get moving into the next Duel.
Duel 2
Da Silva began this time with Diviner of the Herald, Summon Limit, Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, and two copies of Branded Fusion. He played Branded Fusion, sending Fallen of Albaz and Trias Hierarchia to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon Albion the Branded Dragon. He used Albion’s effect, fusing it with Albaz in the Graveyard for Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. He Normal Summoned Diviner of the Herald, sending Herald of the Arc Light to the Graveyard. Herald then added Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice to his hand. Jones used Droll & Lock Bird to prevent things from getting worse. Da Silva Tributed Diviner to Special Summon Trias Hierarchia from the Graveyard. Diviner then Special Summoned Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, which put Radiance of the Voiceless Voice into play. He activated Prayers, Tributing Trias Hierarchia to play Skull Guardian. Then he used Radiance, returning Prayers to the Deck to put Sauravis, Dragon Sage of the Voiceless Voice into play. He Set Summon Limit and passed with all his monsters in Defense Position.
Jones used Infinite Impermanence in the Draw Phase, targeting Skull Guardian. Da Silva used Sauravis Dragon Sage’s effect, returning to the hand to Special Summon a new Skull Guardian. Still in the Draw Phase, Jones used WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils to get Diabellstar the Black Witch in hand. He moved to the Main Phase, sending Oak to the Graveyard to Special Summon Diabellstar. It Set Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye on the field. He flipped it up, sending Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eye Ash. Ash added Snake-Eyes Poplar to his hand. He activated it, and Da Silva flipped Summon Limit! Poplar was stranded in Jones’s hand, and he had no followup! Da Silva had way too much ATK in play to survive another turn, and Jones conceded!
