QQ: Which Cards are the Most Impactful for TEAM YCS Las Vegas?
QQ stands for Quick Questions! We’re firing them off to Duelists out on the tournament floor throughout the weekend. Today, we asked Day 1 competitors which cards they’re most afraid of seeing from their opponents. Here’s what the Duelists had to say:
“Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, because every time she hits the field, I’m usually about to lose the game.” – Marcus S.
“It’s probably Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon; that card feels like Block Dragon because it keeps on giving back resources every turn. But it’s can also bring back cards like I:P Masquerena that can be hard to deal with.” – Darren D.
“Skull Guardian, Protector of the Voiceless Voice is basically another Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, I really hope I don’t have to play against Voiceless Voice.” – Jason L.
“I don’t want anyone to summon another Snake-Eye Ash against me, unless I have Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence.” – Jesse S.
“If I don’t have Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring in my hand, then I hope my opponent never has Branded Fusion because I don’t like dealing with Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. But if I have Ash, then it doesn’t matter what my opponent has, I’ll probably win.” – Aaron M.
“My opponent always has Dimension Shifter so probably that.” – Dustin S.
It seems that players are definitely wary of the Snake-Eyes deck. There were several players choosing to use the Snake-Eyes strategy at TEAM YCS San Jose in Costa Rica last weekend. Is that the Deck that we’ll see on top once the dust settles tomorrow? Stay tuned to find out!
