Some of the most popular events at every YCS are ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! and Ultimate Time Wizard. Both events award some of the coolest prizes as Duelists have a chance to walk away with Giant Card versions of popular cards right now.

This weekend at YCS Raleigh 2024, there are 5 different Giant Cards that will be given out for specific Public Events. Let’s take a look at what is on the line this weekend.

Two of the most popular cards today: Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice and Snake-Eyes Poplar are the prizes for ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! this weekend. The winner on Saturday will get their pick and the winner on Sunday will get the other card. The second and third-place finishers for both days will also get oversized versions of Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice, or Snake-Eyes Poplar. 

Snake-Eyes Poplar is a key part of the Snake-Eye strategy that has been dominating the tournament scene recently. With the newest update to the Forbidden & Limited List, we’re unsure of how much of an impact Snake-Eye will have here at YCS Raleigh, but there are certainly still Duelists using the strategy!

Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice is the key Main Deck Monster for the Voiceless Voice strategy and the strategy is getting more support in the new Legacy of Destruction booster next week. When it comes to Phantom Nightmare Decks, some Duelists are choosing to use the Voiceless Voice strategy to guide them to success. Needless to say, both of these Giant Cards are the talk of Public Events!

For our Speed Duelists in the room, with all their Decks bolstered by the new Speed Duel GX: Midterm Destruction Box, Speed Duel ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! has its own set of prizes, both of which are cards that just premiered in Speed Duel with the new box:

Dandylion and NEXT are the two Giant Cards for the Speed Duel ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!! event, with the same prizing breakdown as its Advanced Constructed counterpart. Speed Duelists here are eager to get their Giant-Size copy of Dandylion to match the Game Mat that they won for the Midterm Destruction Release Celebration event just a couple of weeks ago. 

Dandylion has always been a super-popular card that actually landed on the Forbidden & Limited List back in 2017. Right around the time that Link Monsters were introduced in the TCG. Since then, it has seen plenty of play in Time Wizard tournaments and is now legal for Speed Duels as well! Being a fan-favorite monster doesn’t hurt at all for how popular of a Giant Card choice it is either.

For Duelists that are taking a trip with the Time Wizard back to April 2010, the winner of this weekend’s Ultimate Time Wizard Event will walk away with a Giant-Sized copy of Dark Magician of Chaos! A classic monster in Time Wizard formats, Dark Magician of Chaos isn’t played too much in modern Yu-Gi-Oh! but it is still a monster that everyone loves and recognizes. Giant-size and oversized copies of Dark Magician of Chaos are available for the Top 3 Duelists in the Ultimate Time Wizard event this weekend. 

With a total of 5 Public Events this weekend dedicated to giving out Giant Cards, Duelists here at YCS Raleigh have plenty of chances to take home some BIG prizes. Assuming they can get them in their suitcase!
