QQ: Which Deck is Winning YCS Indianapolis?
QQ stands for Quick Questions! And we’ll be firing them at Duelists on the tournament floor all weekend. Everyone thinks that their Deck is the best, but only one will be able to win YCS Indianapolis. So today, we asked Duelists which strategy they think will come out on top once the dust has settled. Here’s what they had to say:
“I think it will still be Snake-Eye, because they have a ton of representation. I don’t know if it will be with Fire Kings or not, but the Snake-Eye cards are some of the best in the game!” – Marcus S.
“Melodious. Every time I play against it, my opponent always has Ostinato; and even if I have Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, they’ll just activate a second one!” – Terrence C.
“Voiceless Voice is probably my bet, they’re really difficult to deal with if you don’t have a way to handle them early on.” – Jason L.
“Definitely Runick, because that’s what I’m playing!” – Daniel M.
“It depends on how prepared everyone is for it, but I think Tenpai Dragons have a good shot. They’ll make you go first, and if your board isn’t strong enough, they’ll end the game right away!” – Lan M.
There are a ton of different Decks that players are expecting to do well, which really speaks to the diversity of Decks in the current format. Legacy of Destruction has certainly had an impact on the format, as it introduced the Tenpai Dragon Deck, as well as provided support for Decks like Snake-Eye, Voiceless Voice, and Melodious. We’re going to have to wait for a while to see what Deck comes out on top here at YCS Indianapolis, so be sure to stay tuned to find out!
