Both Austin Colling and Paulo Goncalves da Silva are piloting Snake-Eye Decks, which have been extremely popular throughout the event. Let’s find out who will be moving on!
Duel One
Goncalves started by Normal Summoning Snake-Eye Ash, but Colling responded with Infinite Impermanence, negating Ash’s effect! Goncalves activated WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils, adding Diabellstar the Black Witch from his Deck to his hand. Next, he sent another Ash from his hand to the Graveyard to Special Summon Diabellstar, and used its effect to Set Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye from the Deck. Goncalves activated Original, sending Ash to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eye Oak, and used its effect to Special Summon Ash back from the Graveyard. He then activated the effect of Oak, sending it and Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Poplar from his Deck, and used Poplar to search for Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye. He activated Divine Temple, placing Snake-Eyes Diabellstar in his Spell/Trap Zone. He then activated Ash’s effect, sending it and Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon!
Goncalves used Poplar and Flamberge Dragon to Link Summon I:P Masquerena, using Flamberge to Special Summon Ash and Poplar while Poplar placed Snake-Eyes Diabellstar in the Spell/Trap Zone. He used Ash and I:P to Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, activated Princess’s effect to Special Summon Flamberge Dragon, and used Flamberge to place I:P in the Spell/Trap Zone. He activated Snake-Eyes Diabellstar’s effect, Special Summoning it and placing Oak to the Spell/Trap Zone from the Graveyard. He banished WANTED from his Graveyard, putting Original back to the bottom of the Deck and drawing a card. He used Promethean Princess and Poplar to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix, used Phoenix and Snake-Eyes Diabellstar to Link Summon Selene, Queen of the Master Magicians, activated Selene’s effect to Special Summon Diabellstar, and then used Diabellstar and Selene to Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess! Finally, Goncalves Set two cards to his back row and ended his turn.
Colling opened with Snake-Eye Ash, WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils, and two copies of Crossout Designator. He drew Snake-Eye Oak for turn. He started by Normal Summoning Snake-Eye Ash, and Goncalves negated it with Apollousa. Goncalves also chose to activate Flamberge Dragon’s effect, Special Summoning I:P Masquerena from his Spell/Trap Zone, and then activated I:P’s effect, sending it and Flamberge Dragon to the Graveyard as Link Materials to Link Summon S:P Little Knight. Goncalves used S:P to banish Colling’s Ash, and Flamberge to Special Summon Poplar and Ash from the Graveyard. Colling activated WANTED, searching for Diabellstar the Black Witch, as Goncalves used Poplar and Ash to search for Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye and another Snake-Eyes Ash, respectively.
Unable to break through Goncalves’s board, Colling conceded, giving Goncalves the game 1 victory!
Duel Two
Colling started off by activating WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils in the Draw Phase, searching for Snake-Eyes Diabellstar from the Deck. In his Main Phase, he discarded the Diabellstar to Special Summon Diabellstar the Black Witch, but when he tried to use it to Set a card from his Deck, Goncalves responded with Infinite Impermanence, negating its effect! Colling Set a card in his back row and ended his turn.
Goncalves started by activating WANTED: Seeker of Sinful Spoils in the Draw Phase, searching for Diabellstar the Black Witch. In Main Phase 1, he discarded Snake-Eyes Diabellstar to Special Summon Diabellstar the Black Witch, attempting to activate its effect. Colling responded with Ghost Mourner, but Goncalves activated Crossout Designator! He banished a Ghost Mourner from his Deck, allowing Diabellstar to resolve and Set an Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye to his field. Goncalves then activated Original, sending Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eye Ash, activating its effect to search for Snake-Eyes Poplar, then Special Summoning Poplar and using it to search for Divine Temple of the Snake-Eye. He activated Temple, placing Snake-Eyes Diabellstar to his Spell/Trap Zone. He then activated Ash’s effect, sending it and Diabellstar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon from the Deck. Goncalves used Flamberge Dragon to place Colling’s Diabellstar to the Spell/Trap Zone, and then used Flamberge Dragon and Poplar to Link Summon Knightmare Phoenix. He discarded Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit to destroy Colling’s set Triple Tactics Talent while using Flamberge Dragon to Special Summon Snake-Eye Ash and Poplar from the Graveyard!
Goncalves banished WANTED from his Graveyard, placing Original to the bottom of the Deck and drawing a card. He used Phoenix and Poplar to Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames, and activated Princess’s effect to Special Summon Flamberge Dragon. He then activated Snake-Eyes Diabellstar’s effect, Special Summoning it and placing Knightmare Phoenix in the Spell/Trap Zone. Colling chose now to activate the effect of Nibiru the Primal Being from his hand, Tributing all monsters and Summoning a Primal Being Token to Goncalves’s field and Nibiru to Colling’s field. Goncalves used the effect of Divine Temple, Special Summoning Colling’s Diabellstar the Black Witch to his field! Goncalves used the Primal Being Token to Link Summon Link Spider, then used Link Spider and Diabellstar to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, banishing Colling’s Nibiru. Goncalves ended his turn.
Colling drew a Snake-Eye Ash! He Normal Summoned it and activated its effect, and Paulo responded by activating S:P’s effect, banishing it and Ash until the End Phase. Colling resolved Ash’s effect, adding Poplar to his hand, then Special Summoned it and activated its effect to search for Original Sinful Spoils – Snake-Eye. He used Poplar as material to Link Summon Relinquished Anima, and used Poplar to place Snake-Eyes Diabellstar in the Spell/Trap Zone. He activated Snake-Eyes Diabellstar to Summon it and place Poplar in the Spell/Trap Zone. He then activated Original, sending Poplar to the Graveyard to Special Summon Snake-Eye Oak, and used Oak’s effect to Special Summon Snake-Eye Ash. Goncalves activated the effect of his Divine Temple, targeting Knightmare Phoenix, and as Chain Link 2 activated Nibiru the Primal Being from his hand! Nibiru Tributed all monsters on the field, Summoning it to Goncalves’s field and leaving Colling a Primal Being Token, and then Divine Temple resolved, Summoning Knightmare Phoenix to Goncalves’ field. Colling banished WANTED from his Graveyard, placing Original to the bottom of his Deck, and drew Crossout Designator! Colling Set a card to his backrow and ended his turn, with Goncalves’ S:P returning to his side of the Field!
Goncalves started by using S:P Little Knight and Knightmare Phoenix to Link Summon Accesscode Talker, targeting his Phoenix in the Graveyard to gain 2000 Attack Points! Colling activated Crossout Designator, banishing a Bonfire from his Deck and hoping that that was the last card in Goncalves’s hand! Goncalves used Accesscode Talker’s effect, banishing S:P to destroy the Primal Being Token on Colling’s field. With Colling having no cards on the field or in his hand, Colling Normal Summoned Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring and used Ash and Acesscode to Link Summon Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze. He activated Hiita’s effect, Special Summoning Oak from Colling’s Graveyard, and used Oak’s effect to Special Summon Snake-Eye Ash from his Graveyard. He activated Ash’s effect to search for and Special Summon Poplar. With Goncalves’s field full of monsters, Colling conceded the Duel.
