Duel 1
Dauterive won the dice roll and chose to play first, with a hand of Fusion Destiny, Polymerization, Forbidden Droplet, Dark Ruler No More, and Book of Eclipse. In the Draw Phase, Irmer used Dimension Shifter! Dauterive Set Book of Eclipse.
Irmer Normal Summoned Kashtira Riseheart, using its effect to banish Kashtira Birth and increase its Level, while also banishing three cards from Dauterive’s Deck. Irmer played Kashtiratheosis, Dauterive flipped Book of Eclipse, and Irmer had Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate Eclipse! Kashtiratheosis Special Summoned Kashtira Fenrir in Defense Position, then was banished due to Dimension Shifter, and it added Kashtira Birth to Irmer’s hand. Fenrir added Kashtira Unicorn to his hand. He played Kashtira Birth, then attacked directly with Riseheart. In Main Phase 2 he used his monsters to Xyz Summon Kashtira Shangri-Ira. He Set one card in his back row.

Irmer used Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill on it, and Dauterive responded with Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer’s effect. Irmer flipped up Infinite Impermanence, and Dauterive used Forbidden Droplet, sending Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer to the Graveyard. Droplet weakened Fenrir, then Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer’s effect destroyed Birth and the still face-up Droplet. Dauterive used Malicious to Special Summon another Malicious. He Special Summoned Denier with its own effect, and its other effect returned his banished Malicious to the Deck. He Link Summoned Xtra HERO Cross Crusader, and it revived Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer! He used Malicious to Special Summon another Malicious, then used Cross Crusader’s effect, Tributing Malicious to add Vision HERO Faris to his hand. He discarded Neos to Special Summon Faris, which placed Vision HERO Increase as a Continuous Trap. He used Increase’s effect, Special Summoning it by Tributing Faris, and then used its other effect to Special Summon Vision HERO Vyon. Vyon’s effect sent Elemental HERO Shadow Mist to the Graveyard, and Shadow Mist let him put Elemental HERO Stratos in his hand. He used Increase and Cross Crusader to Link Summon Xtra HERO Dread Decimator. He finally used his Normal Summon for Stratos, which added Elemental HERO Liquid Soldier to his hand, and he moved to the Battle Phase. Dread Decimator destroyed Shangri-Ira in battle thanks to its ATK boost, and Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer destroyed Fenrir. Thanks to Dark Ruler No More, he could not deal any damage this turn.

Irmer Special Summoned Unicorn, and Dauterive didn’t hesitate to destroy it with Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. Irmer Special Summoned Kashtira Ogre, using it to find Kashtira Preparations. He sent Ogre to attack Stratos, using Ogre’s effect to filter Dauterive’s next few cards. Ogre destroyed Stratos, and the damage let Dauterive put Increase in the back row. In Main Phase 2, Irmer Xyz Summoned Super Starslayer TY-PHON – Sky Crisis and had it bounce Dread Decimator back to the Extra Deck. Irmer Set Preparations to finish.
Dauterive drew Book of Eclipse, then revived Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. He Normal Summoned Liquid Soldier, which revived Stratos. Stratos destroyed Preparations. He played Polymerization next, fusing Stratos and Liquid Soldier into Elemental HERO Sunrise. Sunrise put Miracle Fusion in his hand. He used Increase’s effect, Tributing Vyon to Special Summon it. It brought a second Increase to the field, and he used both to Link Summon Cross Crusader. It revived Denier, which returned Malicious to his Deck. He banished Malicious to Special Summon another, and used it with Cross Crusader to Link Summon Dread Decimator. He Special Summoned his third Malicious. Dread Decimator gave itself and two other monsters an additional 1300 ATK, letting Dauterive pierce over TY-PHON’s DEF. That cleared the way to attack directly and end the first Duel!

Duel 2
Irmer decided to play second. Dauterive started with two copies of A Hero Lives, Gozen Match, Increase, and Miracle Fusion. He started with A Hero Lives, paying half his Life Points to Special Summon Stratos in Defense Position. Irmer used Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate Stratos. Dauterive Set Gozen and Increase.

Dauterive drew Reinforcement of the Army. He started with A Hero Lives, dropping to 750 Life Points to Special Summon Shadow Mist. Then he used Reinforcement of the Army to get Vyon, and Normal Summoned it to send Malicious to the Graveyard. Irmer’s Unicorn effect let Irmer banish the lone copy of Wake Up Your Elemental HERO from the Extra Deck. Dauterive Link Summoned Cross Crusader. He activated Cross Crusader to try and Special Summon Malicious, and also activated Shadow Mist. Irmer responded with Ghost Mourner on Cross Crusader! Shadow Mist was able to find Faris, but Cross Crusader was negated. Dauterive Special Summoned Faris by discarding Neos, and Faris put Increase in the back row. He Tributed Faris to Special Summon Increase, which Special Summoned another Vyon. He used Vyon’s effect, banishing Faris from the Graveyard to add Polymerization to his hand. He banished Malicious from the Graveyard to Special Summon another Malicious, then used it with Increase for a second Cross Crusader. He banished Malicious from the Graveyard to Special Summon his last Malicious. He was trying to find a way to power over Kashtira Unicorn, but he couldn’t use the Cross Crusader in his Extra Monster Zone due to Ghost Mourner – if his monster left the field, he’d lose the last of his Life Points! Dauterive couldn’t find a way out of this, and conceded the second Duel!

He used Vyon to banish Cross Crusader from the Graveyard and add Polymerization to his hand, then used Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer to destroy itself and Increase. That gave him enough Destiny HERO monsters in the Graveyard to activate Dark Angel, Special Summoning it to Irmer’s side of the field. He Set Mask Change and Eclipse.
In Irmer’s Standby Phase, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer returned to the field. Irmer Normal Summoned Riseheart, and Dauterive had Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer destroy itself and Riseheart. Irmer played Triple Tactics Talent, but Dark Angel negated it! He used Dark Angel to Xyz Summon TY-PHON, and it detached Dark Angel to bounce Vyon. He Set one back row card.

He Normal Summoned Vyon, sending Liquid Soldier to the Graveyard with its effect. He used Vyon and Faris to Link Summon Cross Crusader, which revived Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer. It added Neos to his hand. He played Polymerization, fusing Neos and Malicious into Sunrise, and Sunrise added Miracle Fusion to his hand. He activated it, fusing Neos and Liquid Soldier into Elemental HERO Flame Wingman – Infernal Rage.
