Duel 1
Demorest started with a 12 on the dice roll, choosing to play first. He played Opening of the Spirit Gates, finding Dark Beckoning Beast. He Normal Summoned it and added another Spirit Gates to his hand. He used his bonus Normal Summon for Chaos Summoning Beast, then Link Summoned Moon of the Closed Heaven. He Link Summoned Fiendsmith’s Requiem, and used Requiem to Special Summon Fiendsmith Engraver. He equipped Requiem to Engraver, then used both cards to Special Summon Necroquip Princess. He revived Engraver by returning Requiem, then Link Summoned Fiendsmith’s Sequence. Sequence fused Moon and Engraver into Aerial Eater. Its effect sent Samsara D Lotus to the Graveyard. He Link Summoned Unchained Soul Lord of Yama, adding Unchained Soul of Sharvara to his hand. He used Spirit Gates, discarding his second Spirit Gates to Special Summon Lotus. He used Lotus to Special Summon Spirit of Yubel, which put Nightmare Pain on the field. He used Spirit Gates’s other effect to put the first Spirit Gates back in his hand. He flipped Nightmare Pain, destroying Spirit to add Gruesome Grave Squirmer to his hand. Spirit Special Summoned Yubel, and then he Special Summoned Squirmer. It destroyed Yubel, and Yubel Special Summoned Yubel – Terror Incarnate.
Demorest used all his monsters to Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess. He banished Gruesome Grave Squirmer to revive Spirit. Then he Special Summoned Sharvara by destroying Spirit. Spirit’s effect Special Summoned Yubel, and Yama’s effect in the Graveyard revived Spirit. He banished Terror Incarnate and Necroquip to revive Aerial Eater, then stacked it with Sharvara into D/D/D Wave High King Caesar. Then he stacked Yubel with Spirit for Varudras, the Final Bringer of the End Times.
Hernandez Tollinchi had Primeval Planet Perlereino, Terraforming, King of the Swamp, Danger! Mothman!, and Tearlaments Metanoise. He drew Helshaddoll Hollow. He started with Terraforming to find Pressured Planet Wraitsoth, and Demorest had Droll & Lock Bird. Looking over his hand full of cards that draw or add more cards to the hand, he knew it was already over – on to the next Duel!
Duel 2
Hernandez Tollinchi went first this time, with a hand of Tearlaments Merrli, Tearlaments Scream, Mothman, Kashtira Fenrir, and Tearlaments Reinoheart. He Special Summoned Fenrir in Defense Position, using its effect to put Tearlaments Kashtira in his hand. He played Scream, then Normal Summoned Reinoheart. Scream sent three cards including Destiny HERO – Malicious to the Graveyard. Reinoheart sent Tearlaments Havnis to the Graveyard, and he fused it with Malicious into Destiny HERO – Dangerous. Dangerous discarded Mothman to send Malicious to the Graveyard. Mothman let him draw King of the Swamp, and he discarded it. Demorest discarded Sharvara, which set Abominable Chamber of the Unchained. Hernandez Tollinchi continued, banishing Malicious from his Graveyard to Special Summon a new Malicious. He stacked it with Dangerous for Beatrice, Lady of the Eternal! It detached Malicious to send Trivikarma to the Graveyard. He activated Trivikarma to add Perlereino to his hand. He played that to put Tearlaments Scheiren in his hand. He Special Summoned Scheiren, discarding Merrli and sending a Fenrir from the Deck in the process. Merrli fused with King of the Swamp into Tearlaments Rulkallos. He stacked Scheiren and Reinoheart to Xyz Summon Time Theif Redoer. He Special Summoned Tearlaments Kashtira, banishing Fenrir from the Graveyard, then sent Tearlaments Sulliek to the Graveyard. Sulliek put another Tearlaments Kashtira in his hand. He stacked Tearlaments Kashtira and Fenrir to Xyz Summon Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack in Defense Position, using its effect to Special Summon two Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens. He then used a Token and Dracossack for Barricadeborg Blocker. Then he used Blocker with the last Token for Spright Sprind, which sent Merrli to the Graveyard. He activated Redoer, detaching Scheiren and Reinoheart as part of its effect to banish it. Scheiren fused with Merrli and Reinoheart into Tearlaments Kaleido-Heart! Kaleido-Heart shuffled Demorest’s Abominable Chamber into the Deck. With Perlereino, he destroyed his own Scream, which added Metanoise to his hand. He set Metanoise, and Time Theif Redoer returned to the field.
Demorest drew, and Redoer stole Chamber from Demorest’s Deck. Demorest used Triple Tactics Thrust to add Evenly Matched to his hand! In the Battle Phase, Hernandez Tollinchi used Beatrice to send Havnis to the Graveyard, then fused it with King of the Swamp for Grapha, Dragon Overlord of Dark World! Demorest played Evenly Matched, and Grapha changed the effect to make Hernandez Tollinchi discard Tearlaments Kashtira. He used Tearlaments Kashtira to send two cards to the Graveyard, included a Mudora the Sword Oracle! Demorest played Spirit Gates to get Dark Beckoning Beast. Beast put another Spirit Gates in his hand. He Normal Summoned Gruesome Grave Squirmer, and Hernandez Tollinchi flipped Metanoise, sending Havnis to the Graveyard to flip Gruesome Grave Squirmer face-down. Kaleido-Heart shuffled Dark Beckoning Beast into the Deck, and Havnis fused with Grapha into Predaplant Dragostapelia! Demorest Special Summoned Dinowrestler Pankratops, using it to destroy Dragostapelia. Content with his contribution to this Duel, Demorest conceded!
Duel 3
Demorest began with Fiendsmith’s Tract, searching for Fabled Lurrie and discarding it. Lurrie hit the field, and he used it to Link Summon Fiendsmith’s Requiem. He used that to Special Summon Engraver, and equipped it with Requiem. He used both cards to play Necroquip Princess, then Special Summoned Engraver from the Graveyard with its own effect. He Link Summoned Fiendsmith’s Sequence, and it Fusion Summoned Aerial Eater. He used that to put Spirit of Yubel in the Graveyard. He Link Summoned Yama, adding Sharvara to his hand. He used the Spirit of Yubel in his Graveyard and a Spirit from his hand to Special Summon Phantom of Yubel. He Normal Summoned Samsara D Lotus, and it brought Spirit of Yubel to the field. Spirit put Nightmare Pain in his hand. He used Sharvara’s effect to Special Summon itself and destroy Spirit, and Spirit Special Summoned Yubel. He played Nightmare Pain to destroy Yubel, putting Gruesome Grave Squirmer in his hand, and Yubel Special Summoned Terror Incarnate. He Special Summoned Gruesome Grave Squirmer, using it and Sharvara to Link Summon Unchained Soul of Rage. Sharvara’s effect Set Abominable Chamber of the Unchained. He used Yama and Rage to Link Summon Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess. Gruesome Grave Squirmer’s Graveyard effect revived Yubel. In the End Phase, Yubel Tributed Terror Incarnate, and Lotus went to Demorest’s hand.
Hernandez Tollinchi’s hand had Danger! Nessie!, Perlereino, Mothman, Shaddoll Squamata, and Shaddoll Beast. He drew Sulliek. He started with Perlereino to put Scheiren in his hand, and Demorest activated Droll & Lock Bird. Hernandez Tollinchi continued by activating Scheiren in the hand, and Demorest negated it with Apollousa. Hernandez Tollinchi used Nessie, discarding Scheiren and Special Summoning Nessie, but he couldn’t draw a card with its effect due to Droll.. Scheiren activated in the Graveyard, and Apollousa negated it. Hernandez Tollinchi used Mothman, discarding Beast. Mothman hit the field, and once again, Hernandez Tollinchi couldn’t draw the card with its effect. Shaddoll Beast activated in the Graveyard for a similar result. With all of Hernandez Tollinchi’s cards left useless by Droll & Lock Bird, this Duel was over – he offered the handshake!
