Duel 1
Pace had a hand of Infinite Impermanence, Reinforcement of the Army, Toy Soldier, Toy Box, and Illusion of Chaos. He started with Reinforcement, adding Toy Soldier to his hand. He played Toy Box, which placed Toy Tank and his third Toy Soldier face-down in his back row. He activated Illusion of Chaos’s effect, putting Magicians’ Souls in his hand, then placed Toy Soldier on top of his Deck. He used Magicians’ Souls’s effect, sending Apprentice Illusion Magician to the Graveyard to Special Summon Magicians’ Souls. He used Souls to send his Toys to the Graveyard, letting him draw Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit and Dark Magician.
Toy Soldier and Toy Tank activated in the Graveyard, and Pace Special Summoned them. Soldier then let him add Toy Box to his hand. He used Toy Tank’s effect to Special Summon Apprentice Illusion Magician from the Graveyard, and used its effect to add another Dark Magician to his hand. He used Apprentice Illusion Magician and Toy Soldier to Synchro Summon Chaos Angel! He played his second Toy Box, which Set Toy Tank from the Graveyard and Toy Soldier from the Deck. He Normal Summoned Ghost Ogre, tuning it to Magicians’ Souls to Synchro Summon Armory Arm. He equipped it to Chaos Angel.
Duran Normal Summoned B – Buster Drake. He used Buster with the Revolution Synchron in his hand to Synchro Summon Black Rose Dragon! Its effect destroyed everything, but Chaos Angel survived thanks to its effect. The destroyed Toy Soldier and Toy Tank returned to the field, and Soldier put Toy Box in Pace’s hand. Duran Special Summoned Therion “King” Regulus, equipping Buster Drake to it. He Special Summoned Buster Drake, then Special Summoned Revolution Synchron from his Graveyard, sending a Terraforming from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard. He tuned Revolution to Buster Drake for Ancient Fairy Dragon, then used it to Special Summon Heavy Mech Support Platform. He equipped it to Regulus.
(Note: The play above should not have been possible. You must control a Level 7 or higher Synchro Monster to Special Summon Revolution Synchron from the Graveyard with its effect. Additionally, its Level changes to 1 if you do this, so Ancient Fairy Dragon could not be played here. In the heat of the Duel neither player noticed this, and play continued.)
Pace drew Timaeus the United Dragon. He played Toy Box, placing Toy Tank from his field and Toy Soldier from the Graveyard in his back row. He used the effect of Illusion of Chaos, adding Magicians’ Souls to his hand, placing Infinite Impermanence on top of the Deck. He used Souls, sending Performapal Miss Director to the Graveyard to Special Summon Souls from the hand. He used Souls’s effect, sending his face-down Toys to the Graveyard to draw Bystial Druiswurm and Crossout Designator.
The Toys returned to the field. Pace sent Magicians’ Souls to the Graveyard to Special Summon Timaeus from his hand, then used its effect. Duran sent Regulus to the Graveyard to negate Timaeus. Pace continued, using his two copies of Toy Soldier to Xyz Summon Number 60: Dugares the Timeless. He used its effect to skip his next Draw Phase, drawing two copies of Triple Tactics Talent and discarding Crossout Designator. Pace played Talent to draw Magicalized Fusion and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. He Tribute Summoned Dark Magician, using Toy Box and Dugares. Then he played Magicalized Fusion, fusing Dark Magician and Timaeus into Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!
Pace Special Summoned Druiswurm, banishing Duran’s Heavy Mech Support Platform. Dragoon destroyed Ancient Fairy Dragon with its effect, burning Duran for 2100 damage. That left Duran wide open for Pace’s attacks, and the first Duel was over!

He tuned Revolution to Ancient Fairy Dragon for Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, then used Platinum Gadget to Special Summon Assault Core from his hand.

In Main Phase 2, he used Bagooska to Xyz Summon Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS – Sky Thunder! He Set one card in his back row.
