Round 5 Top Tables Update
We’re halfway through Day 1 here at YCS Niagara Falls! Rage of the Abyss is making a splash in the competitive scene, and we’re going to take a look at which Decks are sitting at the Top Tables here in Round 5.
Looking at just the Top 10 Tables, we can examine the Deck choices of the 20 top-ranked Duelists so far. Firs, two Runick decks are in contention: one Runick Stun and one that mixes Runick cards with White Forest. Both variants have been incredibly popular lately and have been seeing a fair amount of success today.
Four Tenpai Duelists are in the Top tables too, two of them actually playing against each other this round! It’s a battle to see who can summon Trident Dragion the fastest!
Snake-Eye’s currently the most popular Deck, taking up seven spots in our breakdown here. Two of the decks feature Fire King cards, including the brand-new Fire King Courtier Ulcanix from Rage of the Abyss. Most of the Snake-Eye decks are playing Fiendsmith cards as a supporting engine, while all of them are playing the new Azamina cards to help fuel their fiery plays.
Yubel decks are still hanging in there! Two of them are sitting at the top tables right now, one playing a heavy Unchained engine while the other relies on Fiendsmith to guide it to victory.
Rounding out this Top Tables update, we have singular rogue Decks. Purrely, Millennium Exodia, Chimera Fiendsmith, Magical Musketeer Fiendsmith, and Centur-Ion Bystial all have single Deck representation in the Top Tables. Each one has its own unique strategy.
Millennium Exodia is all the hype: with the new Heart of the Blue-Eyes from Rage of the Abyss, it aims to win by summoning The Unstoppable Exodia Incarnate or by assembling all five pieces of Exodia the Forbidden One.
How well these Decks continue to fare against the overwhelming might of Snake-Eye is yet to be known! Only time will tell what happens next here at YCS Niagara Falls, but we’ll keep you posted with round-by-round updates.
