The finals is happening right now, but there’s one more YCS Prize Card to give away! Darian Nguyen and John Wilkin are both looking to win that Super Rare copy of Anotherverse Solaria! We’ve got Nguyen’s Fiendsmith Magical Musketeer Unchained Deck facing Wilkin’s Fire King Snake-Eye Azamina Deck.

Duel 1

Nguyen won the die roll and began by Normal Summoning Unchained Twins – Sarama. He used Sharvara’s effect, destroying Sarama in the process, but Wilkin had Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring to negate Sarama. Nguyen Special Summoned Unchained Twins – Aruha by destroying Sharvara, and Sharvara Set Escape of the Unchained.

Wilkin activated Mulcharmy Fuwalos. He Normal Summoned Fire King Courtier Ulcanix, and Nguyen had Ash Blossom to stop it. Wilkin activated Fire King High Avatar Kirin, destroying Ulcanix to Special Summon the Kirin. Ulcanix Special Summoned Fire King High Avatar Garunix in Defense Position. He used Garunix and Kirin to Xyz Summon Garunix Eternity, Hyang of the Fire Kings! It destroyed Aruha, and Aruha Special Summoned Unchained Soul of Shyama from the Deck. Wilkin drew a card thanks to Fuwalos. Garunix Eternity then destroyed Nguyen’s Set Escape, which he used to Special Summon another Aruha, letting Wilkin draw again. But when Wilkin Special Summoned Diabellstar the Black Witch, Nguyen knew it was already over!

Duel 2

Nguyen began this time… and passed the turn with no plays.

Wilkin played Fire King Sanctuary to put Fire King Island on the field. He used Island’s effect, and Nguyen had Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Wilkin played Bonfire to add Snake-Eyes Poplar to his hand, and Nguyen responded with Droll & Lock Bird. Poplar hit the field, but couldn’t use its effect. Wilkin Normal Summoned Ulcanix, then Link Summoned Hiita the Fire Charmer, Ablaze. It stole Nguyen’s Ash Blossom, letting Wilkin Link Summon Promethean Princess, Bestower of Flames. It revived Hiita, and both monsters attacked directly. He used both monsters to Link Summon Amphibious Swarmship Amblowhale, and Set a card.

Nguyen used the effect of Fiendsmith Engraver, and Wilkin had Ash Blossom to negate it. That allowed Nguyen to use Triple Tactics Thrust, finding Fiendsmith’s Tract. He played Tract to add Magical Musketeer Starfire to his hand, discarding an Ash Blossom. He Normal Summoned Starfire, using it to Link Summon Magical Musketeer Max. Wilkin had Infinite Impermanence to negate Max, so Nguyen used Max to Link Summon Fiendsmith’s Requiem. He used Requiem to Special Summon Engraver, triggering Wilkin’s Promethean Princess. It destroyed Engraver and Amblowhale to come back to the field, and Amblowhale brought Hiita back as well. Nguyen continued, Special Summoning Engraver by returning Max to the Extra Deck. He equipped Requiem to Engraver, then activated Aruha’s effect in his hand, Special Summoning it by destroying Requiem. He used Aruha and Engraver to Link Summon Fiendsmith’s Sequence, and Wilkin had Infinite Impermanence to negate it! Nguyen was out of gas, and Wilkin could easily combo off next turn!
