Top Tables Update: Round 10
Here’s a look at the Top Tables as we begin Day 2 of YCS Orlando!
The top Duelists right now are using Decks largely formed from four themes, mixed and matched for a variety of strategies. Ryzeal and Maliss Decks are the primary things we’re seeing, with all sorts of variants using Fiendsmiths and Bystials to augment them.
Ryzeal Fiendsmith is the most popular Deck right now, continuing to dominate after the strategy won YCS Anaheim. We’ve got fourteen of these Decks at the Top Tables so far, showing how strong it really is.
Bystial Maliss is our next most popular Deck, using the standard Maliss strategy at its core. Bystials help to extend your plays by banishing your Maliss cards when needed, or to disrupt your opponent’s own LIGHT and DARK strategies.
Mitsurugi Ryzeal comes next, showing the strength of the new Ritual Monsters from Supreme Darkness. They fit perfectly into a Ryzeal Deck, thanks to easy access to King of the Feral Imps.
Various mixtures of Bystials, Ryzeals, Fiendsmiths, and Maliss all fill out the middle of the pack after that. Each offers a new dimension to Deck building, with different amounts of Extra Deck space or room for tech choices and interaction.
Finally, we have some other strategies proving their worth at the Top Tables. One Duelist is showing that Tenpai Dragons are still a force to be reckoned with, and another is showcasing the strength of Atlantean Mermails.
We still have three Swiss rounds before the cut to Top 64, and anything can happen in that time! Check back for more Top Tables Updates!
