We’ve reached Day 2 of the North America WCQ! For this Feature Match, we have Justin Andrew Singh piloting the Kewl Tune Deck, one that has been very successful throughout the weekend and is highly represented at the top tables. He’s facing off against David Abelardo Pillor and his DoomZ Deck! These Duelists each achieved 7-2 records to make it to Day 2, but they’ll be competing the rest of the day to earn some additional amazing prizing. Let’s see which Duelist will walk away with the victory! It’s time to Duel!

Duel 1

Pillor won the die roll and chose to go first! He started by activating Prohibited Power Patron Portal – Terminus, sending Jupredo the Shademachine Power Patron from his Deck to the Graveyard to search for Vidolium the Unstable Power Patron of Unity. He then activated Vidolium in his Pendulum Scale and activated its effect to Special Summon back Jupredo from the Graveyard! In the following Chain, Pillor searched for Plundered Power Patron Plane – Vidolia. Next, he activated DoomZ Raiders, and used its effect to destroy Jupredo and Special Summon DoomZ VII Seven – Elara from his Deck! He activated their effects to search for DoomZ Change and Set DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” to his backrow. He equipped DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” to Elara, then activated Elara’s effect to Special Summon Doomz Break – Diactorus! He used Diactorus to bring out DoomZ XIII Over – Graflareio, then used Graflareio’s effect to add DoomZ Destruction to hand. 

Pillor activated the effect of DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” in the Graveyard, but Singh Chained the effect of Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion! Pillor followed up by activating Vidolia, using its effect to banish a card from his hand face-down, then Special Summon a second copy of Jupredo from his Deck. He activated Jupredo’s effect, banishing the top three cards of his Deck and destroying the Jupredo to Special Summon Jupiter the Power Patron of Destruction and attach Mulcharmy Fuwalos to it as Xyz Material. He activated Jupiter’s effect, equipping DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” to it from the Graveyard, then activated DoomZ Change to destroy Power Patron DoomZ in his Deck, allowing him to search for DoomZ XII Zero – Drastea. Pillor activated the effect of Drastea, destroying Graflareio, Special Summoning Drastea, and equipping it with DoomZ Command “D.O.O.M.D.U.R.G”. He activated Graflareio’s effect and Jupiter’s effect to Special Summon back two copies of Elara from the Graveyard, then used the two to Xyz Summon Springans Merrymaker! He used Merrymaker to bring out Gigantic “Champion” Sargas and activated its effect, as Singh Chained the effect of Fydraulis Harmonia! Pillor activated the effect of DoomZ XII Zero – Drastea as Chain Link 3, allowing him to bring out DoomZ XII End – Drastrius, as Singh Special Summoned Harmonia, destroyed Jupiter, and sent Wind Pegasus @Ignister to the Graveyard. Pillor resolved Sargas’ effect to search for Therion “King” Regulus, then activated the effect of DoomZ XII End – Drastrius to equip it with Singh’s Harmonia. Finally, he Special Summoned Regulus from hand and equipped it with Power Patron DoomZ, Set a card to his backrow, and ended his turn. 

Singh drew Kewl Tune Synchro for turn! He activated the effect of Kewl Tune Rotary, revealing Kewl Tune Mix, then Normal Summoned Mix and activated its effect. Pillor Chained DoomZ Destruction, Singh Chained Kewl Tune Synchro, and Pillor Chained the effect of Therion “King” Regulus! Singh was not able to resolve either of his effects, but Pillor activated the effects of Drastrius to destroy Raiders and Power Patron DoomZ to search for DoomZ VII Seven – Elara. In the following Chain, Singh used the effect of Wind Pegasus to return Sargas to the Extra Deck, and used the effect of the destroyed Raiders to destroy Mix. Singh followed up by activating Synchro Overtake to Special Summon Kewl Tune Reco from his Deck, but chose not to use its effect. He used Reco and Rotary to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Track Maker. However, he was unable to search for any additional cards due to the effect of DoomZ Destruction, so he conceded. 

Duel 2

Singh chose to go first in the second Duel, opening with Kewl Tune Reco, Kewl Tune Cue, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, and two copies of The Fallen & The Virtuous. During the Draw Phase, Pillor activated the effect of Mulcharmy Fuwalos! Singh started his turn by Normal Summoning Kewl Tune Reco and searching for Kewl Tune Rotary. He used Reco and Rotary to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Track Maker, then used the effects of Rotary and Track Maker to look at Pillor’s hand of Theorealize Past Lull, Vidolium the Unstable Power Patron of Unity, Jupredo the Shademachine Power Patron, DoomZ Destruction, and Forbidden Crown, then searched for two copies of Kewl Tune Synchro. Not wanting to allow Pillor to draw any more cards, he Set three cards to his backrow and ended his turn. 

Pillor began his turn by activating Jupredo the Shademachine Power Patron in the Pendulum Scale! In response, Singh activated two copies of Kewl Tune Synchro. Pillor activated Forbidden Crown as Chain Link 4 and applied its effects to Singh’s Track Maker, and Singh resolved the his two copies of Kewl Tune Synchro to search for Kewl Tune Reco and Kewl Tune Clip. On resolution, Singh activated the effect of Clip, Special Summoning it, then used Clip and Reco to Synchro Summon Kewl Tune Crackle! He used Reco’s effect to destroy Pillor’s Jupredo, Crackle’s effect to banish the same Jupredo, and Clip’s effect to banish Doomz Break – Diactorus; as a result, Pillor was not able to activate the effect of Jupredo the Shademachine Power Patron. Pillor then activated Vidolium the Unstable Power Patron of Unity in his Pendulum Scale and used its effect to Special Summon Power Patron DoomZ from hand, then used Vidolium’s other effect to search for a second copy of Jupredo. He activated the second copy of Jupredo in his Pendulum Scale and activated its effect, but Singh Chained The Fallen & The Virtuous, sending Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard to destroy it. Pillor used the effect of Jupredo to search for DoomZ Raiders, but when Pillor activated the Raiders and tried to use its effect, Singh Chained the effect of Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit! 

Pillor then activated Theorealize Post Lull, allowing him to Special Summon Medius the Pure and use its effect to bring out Jupredo the Shademachine Power Patron. He activated the effect of Power Patron DoomZ, allowing him to use Medius the Pure to bring out Doomz Break – Diactorus. He used Diactorus to Xyz Summon DoomZ XIII Over – Graflareio, and activated the effect of the destroyed Power Patron DoomZ to search for DoomZ Change. Pillor activated the effect of DoomZ XIII Over – Graflareio to search for DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” and equips it to Graflareio, then used DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.”’s effect to destroy Graflareio and Special Summon DoomZ V Five – Amalthe. This allowed him to search for DoomZ XII Zero – Drastea and Special Summon DoomZ VII Seven – Elara from the Deck, then Set another copy of DoomZ Change to his backrow. He used Elara and Amalthe to Xyz Summon Springans Merrymaker, used Merrymaker to make Gigantic “Champion” Sargas and search for Therion “King” Regulus, then Special Summoned Regulus and equipped it with Power Patron DoomZ! He activated the effect of DoomZ XII Zero – Drastea, destroying the Power Patron DoomZ to Special Summon Drastea and equip it with DoomZ Command “D.O.O.M.D.U.R.G”. He activated Change, then Chained both effects of Drastea, allowing him to Special Summon DoomZ XII End – Drastrius, equip it with Elara from Deck, and destroy Jupredo. Finally, he Special Summoned back Graflareio from the Graveyard, then used it to Xyz Summon Dark Ceruvim Irisfil! He then equipped DoomZ Command “A.D.R.A.S.T.E.I.A.” from the Graveyard to Drastrius, and used Drastrius to bring out Jupiter the Power Patron of Destruction. He activated Irisfil’s effect to increase the ATK of Jupiter to 8500, and with DoomZ Command “D.O.O.M.D.U.R.G” as an Xyz Material, Pillor was able to use Jupiter to attack Singh’s Life Points directly!

Pillor wins the match and will be moving on to the next round with an 8-2 record!
