Tan Pham from Revere, Massachusetts and Leo Morris from Beaverton, Oregon are both currently 2-0 in the 2026 North America World Championship Qualifier. Now, they’re facing off in this Round 3 Feature Match! Pham is using the new “Blitzclique” theme from Chaos Origins, which he has mixed with some older “Ryzeal” cards for the natural synergy. Morris, on the other hand, is using a tried-and-true Dogmatika Despia Branded Deck, which has proven to be one of the most resilient Decks of all time. Only one of them can advance with a perfect 3-0 record. It’s time to Duel!

Duel One

Morris went first in Duel 1 and Pham activated the effect of Mulcharmy Fuwalos in his Standby Phase. In his Main Phase, Morris Normal Summoned Guiding Quem, the Virtuous and used its effect to send Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous from his Deck to his Graveyard.

Next, Morris activated the effect of Phara the Primordial Goddess and revealed Nadir Servant from his hand. He activated the Nadir Servant and sent Albion the Branded Dragon from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard and added Fallen of the White Dragon from his Deck to his hand. Next, he activated the effect of Fallen of the White Dragon by sending The Dragon that Devours the Dogma from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard. He activated the effects of Fallen and Quem as Chain Links 1 and 2. Quem Special Summoned Blazing Cartesia from the Graveyard and Fallen Special Summoned Dogmatika Ecclesia, the Virtuous from the Deck. Pham drew a card from Fuwalos’s effect and Morris added The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck to his hand with Dogmatika Ecclesia’s effect. He Set a card to his Spell & Trap Card Zone and then entered his End Phase. He activated the effect of the Albion in his Graveyard, but lost out to Dominus Purge, then activated the effect of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma and resolved it to add The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck to his hand.

Pham drew Crackle Blitzclique and added it to his hand of 2 copies of Grain Blitzclique, Sword Ryzeal, and Blitzclique – Breakaway. He entered his Main Phase and then activated the effect of Grain Blitzclique in his hand. He targeted Morris’s face-down card to destroy it, and Morris Chained the targeted card – The Fallen & The Virtuous – sending Rindbrumm the Striking Dragon from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard to target Dogmatika Ecclesia for destruction. Pham Chained Breakaway to try to put a Continuous Trap Card face-up on his field, and Pham Chained Cartesia’s effect to fuse Ecclesia with Fallen of the White Dragon and Summon Albion the Branded Dragon. Pham placed Blitzclique Alternator face-up from his Deck to his field as the Breakaway resolved and Special Summoned the Grain from his hand as its own effect resolved. In a new Chain, Albion’s effect activated, and Pham banished Dogmatika Ecclesia and The Dragon that Devours the Dogma from his Graveyard to Fusion Summon Mixousia the Confounder. Pham activated his Alternator’s effect and returned Grain to his Deck to add Whisker Blitzclique from his Deck to his hand. Next, he activated the effect of Whisker in his hand, and Pham Chained Mixousia’s effect. He banished Mixousia and Guiding Quem from his field to Fusion Summon Despian Quaeritis in Defense Position. When Whisker’s effect resolved, Pham Special Summoned the Whisker, Crackle, and Grain from his hand, then destroyed all 3 cards on Pham’s field!  In a new Chain, Pham activated the effects of Grain and Crackle on his field, plus Breakaway in the Graveyard. Morris Chained Quaeritis’s effect, which Special Summoned Fallen of Albaz. Pham returned Breakaway to his hand, sent Hideout in the Sky, Coulomb from his Deck to his Graveyard, and added a copy of Coulomb from his Deck to his hand. In a new Chain, Morris activated the effect of Fallen of Albaz by discarding Mulcharmy Fuwalos, and Pham Chained Whisker’s effect by returning Crackle to his hand. He negated the Albaz’s effect and destroyed the Albaz. Next, he activated Coulomb and used its effect to give Morris a Mech Beast Token in Attack Position and add Surge Blitzclique from his Deck to his hand. He activated its effect and Special Summoned it by targeting and destroying the Token. Direct attacks from Grain and Surge dropped Pham down to 4000 Life Points. Then Whisker attacked directly, and Morris used Rindbrumm’s effect and banished Rindbrumm from his Graveyard to Special Summoned Fallen of the White Dragon from his Graveyard. He used its effect to Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia from his Deck, and then Whisker attacked and destroyed the Incredible Ecclesia in a replay. Pham Set a card to his back row, and then in the End Phase, Morris returned Cartesia and Ecclesia from his Graveyard to his hand. He also used the effect of the Albion in his Graveyard to Set Branded Retribution from his Deck to his field.

Morris Special Summoned Incredible Ecclesia from his hand next turn and then activated the effect of Phara in his hand by revealing it alongside The Fallen & The Virtuous. Morris Chained Blitzclique – Breakaway by returning Whisker to his hand and destroyed Branded Retribution. In a new Chain, Pham activated the effects of the Grain and Surge on his field, and the Coulomb in his Graveyard. He returned the Coulomb to his hand and added Breakaway  and Emi Blitzclique from his Deck to his hand. In a new Chain, he activated Emi’s effect targeting Fallen of the White Dragon. He destroyed the Fallen and Special Summoned Emi. Morris pressed on by Normal Summoning Cartesia. He then Tributed Ecclesia to Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon from his Deck and activated its effect to Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia from his Deck. He then activated his Cartesia’s effect to perform a Fusion Summon, and Pham Chained the effect of the Whisker in his hand. He then Chained his Alternator’s effect, returning Grain to his Deck to add another Whisker from his Deck to his hand. He Special Summoned two Whiskers and Sword Ryzeal from his hand when his Whisker’s effect resolved, and destroyed all 3 monsters on Morris’s field! Cartesia’s effect was unable to resolve, and Morris quickly conceded.

Tan Pham hits hard and fast with his Blitzclique Deck, dismantling Morris’s field and overcoming the high resilience of his Branded Deck. Morris chose to go first in Duel 2!

Duel Two

Morris started his turn and Pham activated the effect of Mulcharmy Purulia in the Standby Phase. He Normal Summoned Quem next, allowing Pham to draw a card. He used Quem’s effect to send Blazing Cartesia from his Deck to his Graveyard and then activated Phara’s effect by revealing Phara along with Branded in High Spirits. He activated Branded in High Spirits and revealed Phara, sent Granguignol the Dusk Dragon from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard, and then discarded Phara. He added Fallen of the White Dragon to his hand with the effect of High Spirits. He Special Summoned it from his hand by sending Albion from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard, allowing Pham to draw another card from Purulia’s effect. Next, he used the effects of Quem and Fallen to Special Summon Blazing Cartesia from his Graveyard and Incredible Ecclesia from his Deck. He Tuned Ecclesia with Fallen to Synchro Summon Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon and activated its effect. He banished it until the End Phase and Special Summoned Tri-Brigade Springans Kitt from his Deck. Next, he activated his Cartesia’s effect to fuse it with Kitt and Summon Mixousia, and then used Kitt’s effect to Special Summon Blazing Cartesia back from the Graveyard. In the End Phase, he returned Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon to his field, used Incredible Ecclesia’s effect in the Graveyard to return it to his hand, and Set The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck to his field with Albion’s effect.

Pham drew Breakaway for his turn and added it to his hand of Pot of Sloth, Ice Ryzeal, Sword Ryzeal, Surge Blitzclique, Grain Blitzclique, and Coulomb. He Normal Summoned Sword Ryzeal and activated its effect to add Ext Ryzeal from his Deck to his hand. Next, he Special Summoned Ext Ryzeal from his hand by sending Mereologic Aggregator from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard. He activated the Aggregator’s effect to try to negate the effect of Mixousia, and Morris Chained its effect. Next, Morris Chained the effect of Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon. The Chain resolved, and Morris banished Ecclesia to Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon from his Deck. He then resolved Mixousia’s effect to Fusion Summon Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon. He used Fallen of the White Dragon’s effect to Special Summon Incredible Ecclesia from his Deck in a new Chain and then Tributed the Incredible Ecclesia to activate its effect and Special Summon Fallen of Albaz from his Deck. He activated its effect by discarding Incredible Ecclesia and Pham Chained Breakaway from his hand by returning Sword to his hand, targeting Morris’s back row card. Morris Chained the targeted card in the back row – The Fallen & The Virtuous – targeting the face-up Breakaway for destruction by sending Rindbrumm from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard. Fallen of Albaz’s effect resolved to fuse Albaz with Ext and Summon Albion the Branded Dragon. He activated Albion’s effect and banished Fallen of Albaz and another Albion from his Graveyard to Summon Titaniklad the Ash Dragon. Next, Pham activated Pot of Sloth! He drew Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Mulcharmy Purulia, Whisker Blitzclique, The Fallen & The Virtuous, Harpie’s Feather Duster, and Crackle Blitzclique from his Deck, then returned Sword, Ice, Grain Blitzclique, Purulia, and Feather Duster from his hand to the bottom of the Deck. He activated the effect of Whisker Blitzclique in his hand and Morris Chained Cartesia’s effect to fuse Cartesia with Albion and Fallen of the White Dragon in order to Summon The Dragon that Devours the Dogma. Pham Special Summoned Whisker, Surge, and Crackle from his hand and destroyed Mirrorjade, Titaniklad, and Quem. Pham activated the effects of Surge, Crackle, and Breakaway, and Morris Chained the effects of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma, Mirrorjade, and Granguignol. Pham Chained Whisker’s effect and returned Surge to his hand to negate Granguignol’s effect. Dogma’s effect shuffled Breakaway and Fallen of Albaz from the Graveyards into the Deck, and Pham sent Alternator from his Deck to his Graveyard and added Whisker from his Deck to his hand. He activated Coulomb and then used its effect to give Morris a Token and add Emi Blitzclique from his Deck to his hand. He activated Emi’s effect targeting the Token, destroying the Token and Special Summoning Emi from his hand. He entered his Battle Phase and attacked The Dragon that Devours the Dogma with Whisker, destroying both monsters in the battle. Direct attacks from Emi and Crackle dropped Morris down to 4600 Life Points. In Main Phase 2, Morris banished Alternator from his Graveyard to add Breakaway from his Graveyard to his hand. He then activated The Fallen & The Virtuous to destroy his own Field Spell Card by sending Albion from his Extra Deck to his Graveyard and used Emi’s effect to add Blitzclique Return Stroke from his Deck to his hand. He Set it along with Breakaway before entering the End Phase. In the End Phase, he Set The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck with the effect of Albion, and Morris activated the effects of the Ecclesia and Cartesia to return them to his hand. He also activated Albion’s effect, but lost out to Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring. Morris also used the effect of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma to add The Fallen & The Virtuous from his Deck to his hand. Then, he used the effect of Branded in High Spirits to return the High Spirits to his hand, and used Titaniklad’s effect to add Fallen of Albaz from his Deck to his hand. He also resolved Mirrorjade’s effect to destory all monsters on Pham’s field, and used Rindbrumm’s effect to banish Rindbrumm from his Graveyard and Special Summon Fallen of the White Dragon. Finally, Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon returned to Morris’s field from banishment.

Morris drew a card and then Normal Summoned Aluber the Jester of Despia. He used its effect to add Branded Fusion from his Deck to his hand and then Special Summoned Cartesia from his hand. He then activated its on-field effect to fuse three monsters together and Summon The Dragon that Devours the Dogma, and used its effect to return Albion and another copy of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma from the Graveyard and banishment to the Extra Deck. He then activated Phara’s effect by revealing Branded Fusion and used Branded Fusion to fuse Diabellze the Original Sinkeeper with Fallen of Albaz from his Deck and Summon Albion. He used Albion’s effect by banishing Fallen of the White Dragon, Albion, and Titaniklad from his Graveyard and Summoned another copy of The Dragon that Devours the Dogma. He then Special Summoned Incredible Ecclesia, and Pham finally conceded, realizing he was defeated.

The Match is going to a third and final Duel with 6 minutes left in the round!

Duel Three

Pham opened up Duel 3 with Called by the Grave, Dominus Purge, Crackle, and 2 copies of Coulomb.

He activated Coulomb and used its effect to give Morris a Token and add Surge to his hand. Morris activated the effect of Droll & Lock Bird, but lost out to Called by the Grave. After a flurry of plays and several activations of his Blitzclique monsters’ effects, Pham destroyed the Token and ended his turn with Alternator face-up in his back row, 2 face-down Spell or Trap Cards, and Emi, Surge, and Whisker face-up on his field.

Morris activated Harpie’s Feather Duster, and Pham Chained Blitzclique Return Stroke and returned Whisker to his hand to negate the Duster’s effect and destroy the Duster. He then used Surge’s effect to add Crackle from his Deck to his hand. Morris Normal Summoned Quem and used its effect to send Blazing Cartesia from his Deck to his Graveyard. He then Special Summoned Fallen of the White Dragon by sending The Dragon that Devours the Dogma to his Graveyard and activated the effects of Quem and Fallen. He Special Summoned Cartesia from the Graveyard and Ecclesia from the Deck. He Tributed Ecclesia to Special Summon another Fallen of the White Dragon from his Deck and then Synchro Summoned Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon. Morris activated Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon’s effect, and Pham Chained Crackle’s effect to try to destroy it. Morris Chained Cartesia’s effect, and Pham Chained Whisker’s effect in his hand, followed by the effect of Alternator. He sent Surge back to his Deck with Alternator and added another Crackle to his hand, then Special Summoned Whisker and Crackle from his hand with Whisker’s effect and destroyed Fallen of the White Dragon and Blazing Cartesia. Pham’s other Crackle destroyed Ecclesia and the Dark Dragon when its effect resolved, wiping out Morris’s entire field. With no monsters left on his field, Morris finally conceded.
