Q: Where is YCS Guayaquil, Ecuador?
A: YCS Guayaquil, Ecuador 2026 will be held at:
Hotel Hilton Colón – Salón Gran Isabela I, II, III
Av. Francisco de Orellana Guayaquil, Ecuador
Q: What is the attendance capacity for this YCS?
A: Due to safety, health, and fire regulations, we have seating for up to 600 Duelists for this YCS (this is the total Duelist venue capacity). We urge you to pre-register online to have a better chance of being able to play in the Main Events. If the venue reaches capacity, additional Duelists will not be allowed to enter the hall. As space opens up from the Main Events, we will offer numerous Public Events that you will still be able to participate in throughout the weekend.
Q: How many Main Events will be at YCS Guayaquil, Ecuador?
A: YCS Guayaquil, Ecuador will feature two Main Events. The Genesys Main Event Day 1 will be held on Friday, October 2nd and Day 2 on Sunday, October 4th. The Advanced Main Event Day 1 will be held on Saturday, October 3rd and Day 2 on Sunday, October 4th. If a Duelist makes Day 2 for both events, they will need to decide which Day 2 they want to compete in and inform the Main Scorekeeper once the standings are posted at the end of Saturday, October 3rd before the event hall is cleared.
Q: What are the Deck-building requirements for the Main Events?
A: Duelists can find detailed information about Deck-building for Advanced and Genesys on the Deck construction page, https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/
Here is the basic information:
Advanced
Decks must follow the Forbidden & Limited List, which can be viewed at https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/limited/list_2026-05-18/
For information on how to submit your Advanced Deck List, please see When do I turn in my Deck List for the Advanced Main Event?
Genesys
Genesys rules are simple:
- No Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones.
- The standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies.
- Deck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event.
For the Genesys Main Event, we will use the 100 Points cap for Deck-building. Click the link below for the current Genesys Points list. Genesys Deck List must be submitted through NEURON, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG support app.

A: Please check the “Products” page online at https://www.yugioh‐card.com/en/products/ for the most current legality dates of Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME product releases, prior to preparing your Deck for the event.
Cards that have been altered from their original appearance with surface decoration may be used for play
only if the alterations do not obscure any portion of the card text, make the illustration difficult to recognize, or make the card distinguishable from other cards in the Deck while it is face-down.
If a card’s surface decoration renders the card unrecognizable at first glance, then the card is not allowed for tournament play.
The Head Judge of the event has final arbitration on whether or not altered cards may be used at the tournament. Duelists are responsible for determining whether or not their altered cards are acceptable for use before the start of the tournament.
