The Beyond the Brave Premiere! events aren’t until next week, but to hold you over until then, we present the initial Genesys points for Beyond the Brave. There’s a lot going in this set, between the extremely powerful new generic cards, the Joey cards that can be played as a standalone Deck or have pieces pulled to use as generic removal, a Synchro theme that uses Trap monster Tuners, and the bishop piece of the Angelechy theme that suppresses simultaneous effect Chains. Here’s what you’ll be working with to start:

Coming up next will be a very large point update based on the last 2 months of tournaments, including the 3 YCS events and regionals.

Also, we’re hitting the 1-year anniversary of Genesys. The original points list has done its duty getting us through our first year, so it’s time to do a mass re-evaluation of some of those earliest points.

It’s also important that we’ve seen what kinds of point choices and trade-offs players are willing (and not willing) to make. That’s info we didn’t have, a year ago.

The OP schedule is pretty tight for this, but expect YCS Ecuador to play with the current points and then Houston to play with the new adjustments.
