YCS Orlando is the first major event to use Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON for Duelists. Let’s dive in and see what that entails.

Your Entire Tournament in One App

The most immediate effect Duelists will experience is having their whole tournament in one location. Under the Events tab, you’ll find your active tournaments. That will show your pairings, including the table number for you to head to. No need to  congregate around a paper posting – it’s all in your hand. Once your Match concludes, you’ll even report directly in the app, eliminating the need for Match slips and waiting for a judge.

Even more paperwork is cut out with Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON, starting with your Deck registration. When you’ve signed up for an event, you’ll have an option to register your Deck directly in the app. No need to write one up, no troubles with handwriting, it’s all handled digitally.

Deck Building Made Easy

Speaking of Deck registration, Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON is a great resource to build your Decks. You can choose between the Forbidden & Limited List, the Genesys points list, or the Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL Forbidden & Limited List. This makes it so no matter what media or format you’re in, you’ve got the right cards available. It’s especially useful for Genesys, because every card’s points will be visible directly on the card, with your current point total at the top. In this example, you can see that Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring cost 18 points, and the current point total is 90.

You can also apply categories and tags to your Decks. This helps if you make the Deck publicly viewable, so other Duelists can narrow down their search and find your creation. There’s another feature using these categories, which we’ll cover in just a moment.

Gameplay Tools

Since you’re already using Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON for the rest of the tournament, you can also use the Dueling tools! You can track your Life Points, including a log feature to show changes throughout the Duel. Dice rolling and coin flips can also be handled in the app, and you can even scan a card to bring it up in the database (such as for a translation).

All this with multiple styles from across the many Yu-Gi-Oh! series!

Profile Features

You can show off your Dueling history in your profile with in-app achievements! These achievements will take data directly from your tournament results. This is where your Deck categories come back in the picture. There are achievements for winning using different categories of Decks – for example, I’ve displayed here some achievements for using Hungry Burger, Centur-Ion, and Evil★Twin. The badges will even include the date you earned the achievement!

This information comes from the Deck you register in Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON for any given event. Make sure you register a Deck that’s marked with the right categories to start getting these medals!

There are even more achievements available for different challenges, such as playing in many events in total, or winning several times in a row. Do your best and make your profile shine!
