Advanced Round 8 Feature Match: Stephen Crouse vs. Jermaine Leach
Day 1 of YCS Houston is nearing its end, but the Dueling action is just as fierce as ever! Here from Dallas, Texas, we have Stephen Crouse playing Tellarknights! His opponent is Jermaine Leach, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with R.B. Cyber Dragons!
Duel 1
Leach won the dice roll and started with a hand of Cyberdark Wurm, Cyberdark Chimera, Urgent Schedule, Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, and K9-66b Lantern. In the Standby Phase, Crouse used Mulcharmy Fuwalos, and Leach negated it with Ash Blossom.

Leach Normal Summoned Cyberdark Chimera, using its effect to send Urgent Schedule to the Graveyard and add Power Bond to his hand. He used Wurm’s effect, sending Cyber Dragon Herz to the Graveyard to Special Summon the Wurm. Herz added Cyber Dragon to his hand. He used Wurm and Chimera to Link Summon R.B. VALCan Booster. Chimera sent Cyberdark Claw to the Graveyard, and VALCan Booster added R.B. Funk Dock to his hand. He activated Funk Dock, adding R.B. VALCan Rocket to his hand. He Special Summoned VALCan Rocket, and used both monsters to Link Summon R.B. The Brute Blues. That let him add R.B. Operation Test to his hand, and he activated it to Special Summon VALCan Rocket. Then, he used R.B. Operation Test to return VALCan Rocket to his hand and gain 2000 Life Points, and Special Summoned the same VALCan Rocket. Funk Dock’s effect triggered to Special Summon R.B. Lambda Cannon. That let him return VALCan Booster from his Graveyard to the Extra Deck. He used Lambda Cannon’s effect, destroying it to look at Crouse’s hand: Seventh Tachyon, Constellar Caduceus, and two copies of Tellarknight Lyran. Lambda let him Special Summon a Lyran to Crouse’s side of the field.
Leach continued with Power Bond, fusing Wurm and Herz from the Graveyard (thanks to Chimera’s effect) into Chimeratech Rampage Dragon. He used Rampage’s effect to send Cyber Dragon Core to the Graveyard. He stacked Rampage with VALCan Rocket for K9-17 “Ripper”. He used Ripper’s effect, detaching Rampage to add K9-17 Izuna to his hand. He Special Summoned Izuna, and used its effect to send K9-ØØ Lupis to the Graveyard. He Special Summoned Lupis from the Graveyard, and stacked the K9 monsters for Infinitrack River Stormer. He used River Stormer’s effect to add Convex Knight to his hand. He used River Stormer and Brute Blues to Link Summon Qliphort Genius, using its effect to Special Summon Lantern from his hand and Izuna from the Graveyard. That triggered Genius’s other effect to add Spell Canceler to his hand. Lantern’s effect put “A Case for K9” in his hand, and he used that to add K9-66a Jokul to his hand. He used Izuna and Lantern to Xyz Summon K9-66X “Jacks”, which destroyed Crouse’s Lyran. He used Jokul’s effect, Special Summoning Jokul and Cyber Dragon from his hand. That triggered Genius again, adding Disablaster the Negation Fortress to his hand. Jokul added a new Izuna to his hand.
He used everything but Ripper to Link Summon Saryuja Skull Dread, using its effect to draw Fuwalos, Cyber Dragon Core, VALCan Rocket, and Scrap Recycler. He returned Fuwalos, Core, and VALCan Rocket to the bottom of his Deck. He Special Summoned Disablaster, then Special Summoned Convex Knight, making it a Level 5. He used Convex’s effect to send Gizmek Taniguku, the Immobile Intellect to the Graveyard. He stacked Disablaster and Convex Knight to Xyz Summon Cyber Nova Dragon, and used its effect to Special Summon Cyber Dragon. He used Nova to Xyz Summon Cyber Dragon Infinity. He activated Saryuja’s effect to Special Summon Spell Canceler. He activated Taniguku’s effect to Special Summon Lambda Cannon, and used it with Saryuja to Link Summon S:P Little Knight, which banished Lyran from the Graveyard. He finally moved to the End Phase, and took 2100 damage from Power Bond.

Crouse drew and promptly conceded! He was facing down the combination of Spell Canceler, Cyber Dragon Infinity, S:P Little Knight, and K9-17 “Ripper” after having his hand attacked by Lambda Cannon. What an incredible turn!
Duel 2
Leach began this time with Mulcharmy Purulia, Droll & Lock Bird, Cyberdark Claw, Infinite Impermanence, and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring.
In Crouse’s Draw Phase, Leach used his Purulia, but Crouse had Called by the Grave. He activated Satellarknight Binding, discarding Nibiru, the Primal Being to Special Summon Constellar Castor. He tried using its effect, and Leach negated it with Ash Blossom. Crouse Set one card in his back row.

Leach drew Clockwork Night. He discarded Claw to add Cyberdark Realm to his hand. He activated Realm to add Cyberdark Chimera to his hand. He used Realm for an additional Normal Summon, playing the Chimera. He used Chimera’s effect, discarding Clockwork Night to add Power Bond to his hand. He used Chimera to Link Summon Clockwork Knight, but the Summon was negated by Crouse’s Solemn Warning! Chimera’s effect let Leach send Cyberdark Wurm to the Graveyard. He banished Clockwork Night from the Graveyard and discarded Droll & Lock Bird to add Therion “King” Regulus to his hand. He Special Summoned Regulus and equipped it with Clockwork Knight. He activated Wurm’s effect, sending Herz to the Graveyard to Special Summon Wurm. Herz then added Cyber Dragon to his hand. He activated Power Bond, fusing Herz with Cyber Dragon into Chimeratech Rampage Dragon. Rampage’s effect let it attack multiple times, with its ATK doubled by Power Bond – Crouse offered the handshake!

Jermaine Leach is victorious with R.B. Cyber Dragons!
