We’re at the Alexis Park Resort, in always exciting Las Vegas! There’s a lot of gaming going on this weekend, from blackjack to basketball, but the real action is right here at the Ultimate Duelist Series Invitational! With 271 Duelists entered, we’ll have nine rounds of Swiss play today, and four more tomorrow before we make the cut to the Top 16.

As you can guess from the name, this is an invitation only event. You’ve got to earn Ultimate Duelist Series points throughout the Dueling season to qualify for this tournament, by playing in or judging tournaments. 100 points are needed to enter – for reference, first place of YCS Atlanta got 30 points. Thus, you’ll need to enter a lot of Regional Qualifiers, YCS tournaments, and more if you want a shot at the title of Ultimate Duelist!

YCS Atlanta: Welcome to Day 2

March 5th, 2017

Only the top Duelists made the cut from yesterday, but they aren’t done yet. We’ve still got two more rounds of Swiss play before the move to Top 32! We saw Zoodiac in a lot of the top Decks yesterday, though in quite a few varied strategies. Pure, Kaiju, Artifact, and Invoked variants of Zoodiac Decks are all represented in the top tables. In addition, there were Windwitches, Invoked, Paleozoics, Infernoids, Lightsworn, and Burning Abyss all performing very well.

YCS Anaheim Round 1 Feature Match: Amit Deol vs. Erick Palencia

November 26th, 2016

Welcome to Round 1 of YCS Anaheim! To kick things off, we’re looking at a great strategy that’s come out of a recent Structure Deck. You know it, we’re talking about… Magnet Warriors! Erick Palencia, from nearby Fontana, CA, is using Yugi’s newest Magnet Warriors in his first ever YCS! He’s up against Amit Deol, from New York City, who is playing Metalfoes. The Metalfoes Deck is one of the strongest out there right now, thanks to its ability to search out its own Spell and Trap Cards so easily.
