It’s 2011, and that means a whole new year of Dueling excellence is about to begin! Things ended on a strong note as Structure Deck Marik and Starstrike Blast shook things up for the last YCS of the year, giving Gravekeepers their first Championship win ever! Starstrike Blast also introduced the first Synchro Monster that’s a Tuner monster as well, Formula Synchron, which appeared in a wide variety of Decks, from Plant Synchro all the way to Monarchs. Some Duelists even decided to go all-out and Summon the ultimate evolutions of Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend: Shooting Star Dragon and Red Nova Dragon!

The end of 2010 also marked the introduction of the Dragunity monsters in Hidden Arsenal 3 and Starstrike Blast. They didn’t get a chance to strut their stuff before the end of the year, but look out for them when YCS Dallas rolls around in February! They can do all kinds of cool things now and can only get better as the year rolls on.

Speaking of the future, there’s no end in sight for the constant stream of cool new stuff becoming available to Duelists! This month on the Strategy Site you can look forward to previews of the new cards from Storm of Ragnarok, the release of Duelist Pack – Yusei 3, which includes at least one card that many Duelists thought would never make the jump from TV to TCG, and some keen strategic insight that’s sure to help you improve your game.
