T.G. Halberd Cannon
Check out T.G.Halberd Cannon, an incredibly powerful Level 12 Synchro Monster! It’s huge, it’s mean, and it’s way easier to Summon than you might think!
T.G. Halberd Cannon is a level 12 Synchro Monster with a whopping 4000 ATK and DEF. Just as impressive as his combat stats are his effects. Once per turn, you get to negate the Summon of one of your opponent’s monsters. It’s like having a free Solemn Warning every turn!
That’s not even his only effect! When Halberd Cannon is sent from the field to your Graveyard, you can target any “T.G.” Monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. This means that if you happened to have Synchro Summoned T.G. Blade Blaster earlier on in the duel, you can Special Summon it from your Graveyard and continue dominating with his effects and massive ATK. The best part about that is that one of the ways to Synchro Summon Halberd Cannon also sends a Blade Blaster to the Graveyard!
After using any of the very simple ways to Synchro Summon T.G. Blade Blaster, you’ll want to Summon T.G. Recipro Dragonfly, the Level 2 “T.G.” Synchro Monster. One of the easiest ways to do so is using T.G. Cyber Magician alongside Boost Warrior, the level 1 Non-Tuner Monster from Duelist Pack – Yusei 3. Boost Warrior can be Special Summoned any time you control a Tuner Monster, so all you need to do is Normal Summon Cyber Magician while you control a Blade Blaster, then you can Special Summon Boost Warrior and immediately Synchro Summon T.G. Recipro Dragonfly! The Dragonfly allows you to select one “T.G.” Synchro Monster you control (other than itself!) and send it to the Graveyard. That lets you split it back up into the Synchro Monsters used to make it, one of which is a Tuner. Then you can Synchro Summon T.G. Halberd Cannon!
If you aren’t using a T.G. Deck, you’ll need to use Formula Synchron as your Synchro Tuner monster. In that case, you can Synchro Summon any 2 Level 5 Synchro Monsters, and pair them with Formula Synchron. This is really easy to do in Decks that use Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior, especially after T.G. Hyper Librarian is released. Hyper Librarian is also a T.G. monster, so if T.G. Halberd Cannon is somehow destroyed, you can just revive Hyper Librarian!
These combos are just going to get easier to pull off in the weeks to come, so make sure you have a Halberd Cannon contingency plan in place just in case you find yourself staring down this 4000 ATK behemoth!
Even if you aren’t playing a T.G. Deck, you might still be able to use Halberd Cannon in another strategy. Using basic combos and some very small tech choices, many Decks are able to Synchro Summon Halberd Cannon, including Fish Decks, Infernity Decks, and even the new Decks with Junk Synchron and Doppelwarrior that have been appearing at the top tables of Regional Qualifiers in the last couple months. With the upcoming release of T.G. Hyper Librarian, these combos will get even more consistent and you just might see Halberd Cannon when you least expect it!
