Using the new Inzektor monsters.
The Inzektors stormed the Dueling world right out of the gates and are already one of the most powerful forces the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME has ever seen. Now that Galactic Overlord is here, Inzektors have some more monsters that are ready for battle! What do these new Inzektors do? How can they help your Inzektor Deck become stronger? Read on to find out!
Inzektor Earwig is a great utility monster for when you need some extra power. While Earwig is equipped to a monster, that monster gains 1000 ATK and DEF, which turns your Centipede into a bulky 2600 ATK powerhouse, and that’s not including the effects of cards like Inzektor Giga-Mantis and Inzektor Sword – Zektkaliber! If Earwig gets destroyed while equipped, don’t worry – Earwig gives the equipped monster a 1000 ATK boost that lasts until the End Phase. That way, your Inzektor can survive the turn, and then next turn you can reequip him and get the permanent ATK boost again! Inzektor Firefly is another helpful monster to use. While he’s equipped, you gain the ability to look at your opponent’s Set cards! If you’ve got an Inzektor Hornet equipped and you’re not sure what face-down to destroy, use an Inzektor to equip Firefly and choose their best face-down card, like Mirror Force or Torrential Tribute. Knowledge is power, and Firefly will give you the knowledge you need to win your Duels.
Inzektor Giga-Cricket is one of the more powerful Inzektor monsters, with a respectable 2000 ATK. Giga-Cricket can equip itself from the Graveyard to your Inzektors by banishing an Insect-Type monster. While it’s equipped, the equipped monster’s original ATK becomes 2000, and it can inflict piercing Battle Damage when it attacks. Giga-Cricket punishes opponents who play defensively, and makes your Inzektors a little more formidable. Inzektor Dragonfly only has 1000 ATK, so it’s a great card to combo with Giga-Cricket. One advantage that Giga-Cricket has over Inzektor Giga-Mantis is that Giga-Cricket can be re-equipped from the Graveyard every turn with its own effect or your on-field Inzektor’s effect, allowing you to keep powerful monsters on the field at all times.
Inzektor Ladybug is a monster that can send itself to the Graveyard while equipped, just like Inzektor Hornet and Inzektor Hopper. But instead of destroying a card or giving you benefits in battle, Ladybug allows you to increase the level of a monster you control by up to 2. Since most Inzektor monsters are Level 3 or Level 4, this allows you to easily summon Rank 5 Xyz Monsters. It’s actually really simple to do too – Summon Inzektor Dragonfly and equip it with Inzektor Ladybug. Then, send it to the Graveyard to make Dragonfly Level 5, Summon Inzektor Centipede from the Deck with Dragonfly’s effect, and then equip it with Ladybug from your Graveyard. After that, send Ladybug to the Graveyard to make Centipede Level 5, add an Inzektor card from your Deck to your hand with Centipede, and Xyz Summon a Rank 5 Xyz Monster! There’s a lot of choice for Rank 5’s, but now there’s a Rank 5 Inzektor Xyz Monster you can summon with this combo!
Inzektor Exa-Stag is a new Inzektor Xyz Monster, and can be Xyz Summoned with any 2 Level 5 Insect-Type monsters. Of course, these conditions can be easily met with Dragonfly and Ladybug. Inzektor Exa-Stag is able to detach 1 Xyz Material, and equip itself with a monster from your opponent’s field or Graveyard! In addition, Exa-Stag gains ATK and DEF equal to half the original ATK and DEF of the equipped monster(s). Exa-Stag can easily remove threats from the opponent’s field, and can make up for times when you don’t have an Inzektor Hornet to blow up all of their cards. Plus if it’s left unchecked, Exa-Stag can easily reach over 3000 ATK once it’s used both of its materials, so it’s a great card to use to overwhelm your opponent.
