Unleashing the new Inzektor Spells and Traps
Galactic Overlord brings heaps of new Inzektor cards to the table, but they aren’t just a bunch of new Monster Cards, they’ve also got some new Spells and Traps to play with too! Read on to learn more about the new cards you can add to your Inzektor arsenal.
First up is Inzektor Crossbow – Zektarrow. This Equip Spell card gives the equipped Inzektor 500 ATK, and while it’s equipped, your opponent cannot Chain anything to the equipped monster’s effects. Inzektor Crossbow – Zektarrow makes it impossible for your opponent to disrupt your Inzektor monster with the devastating Evolzar Dolkka.
Inzektors have a second Equip Card to use in Galactic Overlord, but it’s a Trap Card instead of an Equip Spell Card. Inzektor Gauntlet is a defensive Equip Card that gives the equipped Inzektor 1000 DEF, and protection from being destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. Equipping Inzektor Dragonfly with this card gives Dragonfly a huge 2800 DEF, which combined with an Inzektor Hornet can cause your opponent serious trouble as they struggle to remove it from the field. You can even chain this card to a Dark Hole or Torrential Tribute when your opponent tries to destroy your Inzektor, saving your monster and causing your opponent to waste one of their most powerful cards while destroying all of their own monsters!
Zekt Conversion is another Trap Card, and like Inzektor Gauntlet, it has an effect that relates to Equip Cards. But instead of equipping itself to your Inzektor monster, it turns your Inzektor monster into an Equip Card, and steals an opponent’s monster! When your opponent attacks your Inzektor with a monster, you can flip this Trap Card, and turn your Inzektor into an Equip Card and equip it to the attacking monster. While your Inzektor is equipped to it, that monster is under your control! Even though a lot of Inzektors have low ATK, that’s no longer a problem when you can steal any monsters that would give you trouble. Your Inzektor monsters can take care of any powerful cards with Inzektor Hornet, and then you can finish off the monsters with Zekt Conversion and use them against your opponent.
Final Inzektion is the most destructive card in the Inzektor player’s arsenal. By sending 5 Inzektor cards you control to the Graveyard, you can clear your opponent’s entire field! In addition, your opponent can’t use monster effects from their hand or Graveyard, meaning you’re free to attack without worrying about cards like Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness, Tragoedia, and Necro Gardna. It might seem like a challenge to get 5 Inzektor cards on the field, but with the help of Inzektors that can equip cards from the Graveyard it can be a lot easier than you think. Also, if you have more than 5 Inzektor cards on your field, including an Inzektor Dragonfly and an Inzektor Sword – Zektkaliber, then you can send all of the Inzektor cards except for Dragonfly to the Graveyard with Final Inzektion, destroy all of your opponent’s cards, and then Special Summon an Inzektor with Dragonfly’s effect, and add 1 Inzektor from your Graveyard to your hand with Zektkaliber! Final Inzektion takes a lot of cards to use, but it’s pretty epic when you pull it off.
Inzektors have been pretty popular lately, and now that Galactic Overlord is here they’re definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with! These Spells and Traps combined with great monsters like Inzektor Ladybug and Inzektor Giga-Cricket make Galactic Overlord a set that you really don’t want to miss!
