Cosmo Blazer: Fire Up That Extra Deck!
A powerful Extra Deck is the perfect complement to almost any Deck, and Fire Fist Decks are no exception! The Brotherhood of the Fire Fist has mastered not only Xyz Summoning, but Synchro Summoning as well, so Cosmo Blazer has 3 Fire Fist monsters for your Extra Deck: 1 Synchro Monster and 2 Xyz Monsters!
The new Synchro Monster, as well as both of the Xyz Monsters, are easy to Summon in Fire Fist Decks; but each of these 3 monsters is Summoned by using a different combination of materials.
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Horse Prince is a Level 6 Synchro Monster that can be Summoned by combining 1 FIRE Tuner monster with 1 or more non-Tuner monsters. In a Fire Fist Deck, you’ll usually use Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit as your FIRE Tuner monster. If you have Spirit plus a Level 3 Fire Fist on the field, you’ll be able to Tune your Monsters together to Synchro Summon Horse Prince.
Horse Prince has 2200 ATK and lets you Special Summon a Level 3 FIRE monster from your Deck when it’s Synchro Summoned. You can’t Special Summon any Level 5 monsters during your turn after you Summon Horse Prince, but that’s a small price to pay for a free Level 3 monster like Hawk or Raven.
One of the most effective ways to Summon Horse Prince is by Tuning the Level 3 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit with Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Raven, and then using Horse Prince’s effect to Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Hawk from your Deck. Raven lets you search your Deck for a Fire Formation Spell Card to Set when it’s Tuned with Spirit, and then Hawk gives all of your Fire Fist monsters an additional 500 ATK and DEF as long as you control a Fire Formation. Plus, if your opponent destroys Hawk, you can Set another Fire Formation Spell Card from your Deck with Hawk’s effect.
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Lion Emperor is a Rank 3 Xyz Monster that can be Xyz Summoned by combining 2 Level 3 FIRE monsters. Normal Summon Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Spirit and activate its effect to Special Summon another Spirit from your Graveyard; then you can combine both Spirits to Xyz Summon Lion Emperor.
While Lion Emperor is on your field, you can detach an Xyz Material from it once per turn to return a FIRE Monster from your Graveyard to your hand. You can’t Summon that monster for the rest of your turn once you use Lion Emperor’s effect to add it to your hand; but you can Summon a copy of that monster before using Lion Emperor’s effect, and then bring that monster back to your hand with Lion Emperor’s effect if it’s sent to the Graveyard during the same turn that you Summoned it.
Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Tiger King is a Rank 4 Xyz Monster that is Xyz Summoned by combining 2 Level 4 Beast-Warriors. There’s a couple of ways to easily Summon 2 Level 4 Fire Fists to the field so that you can Xyz Summon Tiger King.
For example, you can use the effect of the Level 4 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist – Dragon to send 2 face-up Fire Formations to the Graveyard and Special Summon another Level 4 Fire Fist from your Graveyard. Then you can combine Dragon with your newly Summoned Fire Fist and Xyz Summon Tiger King.
Alternatively, you can use Fire Formation – Tensu to Normal Summon 2 Level 4 Beast-Warriors in a single turn. Then you can combine both Beast-Warriors to Summon Tiger King.
Like Horse Prince and Lion Emperor, Tiger King has 2200 ATK; but Tiger King also has some unique abilities. Tiger King lets you Set a Fire Formation Spell OR Trap Card from your Deck as soon as it’s Xyz Summoned! In addition, when it’s sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can send 3 of your face-up Fire Formations to the Graveyard to Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Beast-Warriors with the same ATK from your Deck. Hawk and Raven; Gorilla and Bear; and Dragon and Snake have the same number of Attack Points, making it easy to use Tiger King’s effect to lead into another Xyz Summon.
Tiger King also has one more effect. By giving up an Xyz Material, Tiger King can negate the effects of all face-up monsters on the field (other than Beast-Warriors), until the end of your opponent’s next turn. This can come in handy when you need to attack over a pesky Spirit Reaper or Wind-Up Zenmaines.
The new Synchro Monsters and Xyz Monsters in Cosmo Blazer add tons of power to Fire Fist Extra Decks. Combined with Diamond Dire Wolf, you can build a potent Extra Deck for your Fire Fist Deck starting this weekend at the Cosmo Blazer Sneak Peeks!
