Constellar Omega
Previously, we talked about Constellar Sombre, an impressive Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy addition to already impressive Constellar Decks. Today, we’re showing off the new Constellar Xyz Monster that you can Summon with Sombre, but can also find a home in many other Decks – Constellar Omega!
Constellar Omega is a Rank 4 LIGHT Beast-Warrior-Type monster that requires 2 Level 4 LIGHT monsters as its Xyz Material. For that reason, it’s easy for it to find a home in any Deck that uses a lot of Level 4 LIGHT monsters. A Noble Knight Deck can make use of Constellar Omega, by using just about any 2 Noble Knights as Xyz Material. You can use it in a Thunder Deck, with a combination of Mahunder, Pahunder, or Batteryman AAA. And of course, you can Xyz Summon it with ease in a Constellar Deck, with tons of possible combinations of monsters.
Once it’s on the field, your opponent will have a tough time getting rid of it. With 2400 ATK, Constellar Omega hold its own in battle, but its effect is what makes it so tough to get rid of: during either player’s turn, you can detach a Xyz Material from it to protect all Constellars you currently control from being affected by any Spell/Trap effects for the rest of the turn. Since it’s a Constellar itself, its effect will protect itself even if you do not control, or even use other Constellars. The best thing about Omega’s effect is that it’s a Quick Effect, meaning that you can chain its effect to the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that you don’t want to affect your Constellars. This keeps Omega safe, and forces your opponent to use monsters to defeat it.
In a Constellar Deck, it’s really helpful. Constellar Omega will protect all of your Constellars from Spells and Traps, which helps to keep your battalion of Xyz Monsters safe from destruction. In addition, it’s a Beast-Warrior, so it’ll even get an ATK boost from any Fire Formation – Tenkis you’ve used! Omega is a useful option to have alongside Constellar Praespe and Starliege Paladynamo. If you’re worried about your opponent’s Spells and Traps and not their monsters, then Omega will generally be a better choice than Praesepe or Paladynamo.
Whether you’re playing Constellars or a different LIGHT-based strategy, Constellar Omega is definitely a great option for you to include in your Extra Deck!
