Brace yourselves, number hunters – a new Rank 8 Number Monster has entered our world! Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder, available in Number Hunters, can be Xyz Summoned by combining any 2 Level 8 monsters. Once Summoned, this new monster will grind your opponent’s Special Summoned monsters to pieces, and wipe out a big chunk of your opponent’s Life Points in the process.

Up to twice per turn, during your Main Phase 1, you can detach an Xyz Material from Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder to destroy any Special Summoned monster on your opponent’s side of the field. This means that Giant Grinder can take out any of your opponent’s strongest monsters with its effect.

If you choose to destroy an opponent’s Xyz Monster, Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder’s effect becomes even stronger. Whenever you destroy an Xyz Monster with Giant Grinder’s effect, your opponent will take damage equal to that monster’s original attack. Since you can use Giant Grinder’s effect up to twice in a single turn, the damage from Giant Grinder’s effect can add up quickly.

Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder is a Rank 8 monster, so it looks like it may be tough to Summon. But don’t be deceived by its high Rank – in the right Deck, Giant Grinder is easy to muster to the field.

Hieratic Decks, for example, take advantage of Hieratic Dragons that can Special Summon a Normal Dragon to the field whenever they’re Tributed. These Normal Dragons can be used in Xyz Summons. When you Tribute a Hieratic Dragon like Hieratic Dragon of Eset, Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit, or Hieratic Dragon of Su, you can Special Summon a Level 8 Normal Dragon such as Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord to the field. Special Summon 2 of them and then you can combine both copies to Xyz Summon Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder.

Gagaga Decks can also easily Summon Rank 8 monsters. Gagaga Decks focus on Summoning monsters that match the Level of Gagaga Magician. Since Gagaga Magician’s effect lets it change its Level to become any Level between 1 and 8, you can use Gagaga Magician’s effect to turn it into a Level 8 monster, and then match its Level with a different monster to Xyz Summon Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder with ease.

Don’t forget about Dark World Decks, either. [Grapha Note: Only fools forget about Dark World Decks!] If you’re feeling particularly sinister, you can Special Summon 2 copies of the almighty Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World, and combine them to Xyz Summon Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder. When your opponent has a couple of Xyz Monsters on the field, Giant Grinder will grind out a quick finish.
